Hi Gaia! Let me ask you this: On a scale of 1 to 10, how cute are these pups?



Like TEN BAJILLION, right? These are Yorkshire Terrier puppies and they are going to be the next companion item.


Yorkshire Terriers are small, adorable and full of spunk personality. They are a little yappy, but their adorable faces sure make up for it.

Here are some quick facts about the Yorkshire Terrier:
-Yorkies were originally bred to hunt mice and rats in English mills and mines
-They seem oblivious of their small size and are very eager for adventure. They are highly energetic, brave, loyal and clever
-Yorkies live for about 12-15 years
-They average at 7 inches tall and 7 pounds in weight
-For the first two weeks of a Yorkie's life, he/she will be asleep nearly 90% of the time!
-Sylvia, a Yorkie from Blackburn, England, is recorded as the smallest dog ever, measuring 2.5" tall and 4 ounces in weight!


If it wasn't obvious enough already, the goal of this thread is to convince the almighty Gaian gods to gift us with a Yorkshire Terrier companion item. Plain and simple. And for me, this is more than just a "good idea" i had one afternoon. It's a personal crusade.
On the other side of this computer screen, IRL I have a Yorkie.

Her name is Slurpee. She's six years old, but just as adorably crazy as the first day we got her. Slurpee's my baby and before her, I never knew someone could love an animal so much. It is for this reason that I want to immortalize my best friend - and the memories of this little creature who has changed my life forever in ways I haven't even fully realized yet - in as many ways as possible, the first being with a Yorkshire Terrier companion item on GaiaOnline.

We have a lot of small dogs already. I've nothing against having a Yorkie companion item, but I wish they'd do a few more large breeds first. And not little tiny puppies of large breed dogs - I mean fully-grown adult dogs weighing at least 50-60 lbs. in real life.

I'm all for more dog breeds, I'd want to at least have one of each "body type". I'd love to see the small Yorkie, Shih-Tzu, Poodle, Dachshund, Fox Terrier...

Or bigger ones like Border Collie, Rough Collie, Bulldog, Greyhound, Borzoi, Great Dane...there's so much to choose from. More to choose from than cats. -__-
