I'm so pissed off about the horns of the demon. I finally, FINALLY, after being on this site for 8 years, had the gold to buy them and I go to the MP a few days ago and they're at 17 mill. They were only 10 mill when I was 2 mill away from buying them.

and as i was typing this i went and checked the price again and now they're 31 mill. 31 MILL ARE YOU ******** KIDDING ME? HOW DO YOU GO FROM 10 MILL TO 31 MILL THAT FAST.

It's a lot of column B. Of COURSE they're going to put a higher price tag on it, they KNOW they'll get a buyer because everybody is buying devalued gold! And they HAVE to sell at a higher price or they won't have enough gold to buy everything else that is rising at a similar rate! That's how inflation works!

Also, on a year graph it's hard to notice the inflation because the numbers are so limited, but on a month graph you can see how sudden the Angelic Sash has risen.

I'm debating trying to start a revolt where we all change into peasant clothes or underwear and stay that way (which includes not buying a drop of cash) until they apologize and/or promise never to realize it again. Mostly the apology. I want them to admit they've made a stupid mistake FOUR TIMES.

I'd like to point to one item that illustrates really well the impact FB has had on item prices: Manslayer Duke of Lalune

Gaia intentionally deflated this by making it more readily available when they rereleased the Midnight Whatever RIGs and put the MDoL up for direct sale. Before that point, it was sold pretty much exclusively in the exchange due to the price, which was close to 200 million LBP in the market when I checked it on the day of rerelease. After the rerelease, it dropped to a little over 30 million in the market and appeared to be holding fairly steady until this most recent release of FB. The LBP is now sitting at more than 45 million, which the graphs won't properly reflect, since they average the sell amounts and quantities vs the previous day's ABP.

I'm so sick of seeing items I want slowly inflate out of my price range. I love collecting items but I'm really getting less and less every time I buy something. :/ I hope they can fix this.

So going by the current market trend, and comparing it to the first release of Flynn's Booty, it looks like inflation is going to, overall, be re-doubled. We're coming down from the initial peak but man oh man, we're not coming down from it that fast.
