"One, two, three," a young man counted the ring of bells. "Three dead," the young man said aloud. Aragorn was this young mans name. King of Gondor and still part of The Fellowship from three years ago. A lot has changed those three years. Aragorn had become the king of Gondor after Frodo had destroyed the ring. Even though he is king Aragorn can get lonley at times. A messenger came to him telling him that there more sightings of Orc's near the city. The young king gave the messenger a quick thank you and walk to the big balcony that over look all the plains between Gondor and Mordor. The messenger was right there about 20 leagues away from Gondor was about a hundred Orc's ready for battle. "Soldiers get ready for battle!" Aragorn yelled so all his groups could hear him.

"If you bring a Ranger with you, it is well to pay attention to him, especially if that Ranger is Aragorn."

>>Bellona<<

“Hope is the thing with feathers, that perches in the soul, and sings the tune without words, and never stops at all.”

She was tired, for she had been traveling for three days now without much rest whatsoever. With all these Orcs around, Bellona was lucky to sleep for five minutes before she was awoken by their stentch. She shook sleep from her mind as she continued on her journey, brown cloak hiding her moss green eyes and curly brown hair.

She noticed a city, not far ahead. It took her minute to remember the name but it soon came to her. Gondor. Surely she could find rest there. She hasted herself towards the city but was stopped by the sight ahead of her. Orcs. About 100 if she was correct, ready to fight. As cursed herself in her elven tongue and hid, taking out her bow, and aimed, shooting one through the skull. Orcs around him saw that their commrade had fallen, but when they turned, they saw no one, as Bellona was well hidden with her earthly colors.

A young elf, was in the forest when she decided to see what is going on. She lived in the woods, she loved the woods. When she saw there was the Army, Namaya was so confused what was going to happen. She sat down on a log, with her bow and arrow. She did not know what else to do. She did like staying hidden, it was nice and quite, where she was sitting. She walked closer to the scene, when she wanted to see what is going on. She noticed there was a young king there also, she knew the Ring or rumors about it. That was because she was not involved. And never wanted too, Namaya was carefully watching her back the same time. She was getting more out of her protected area, she was not quite sure if that was smart or not.

Aragorn could feel the tension in the air as him and his soldiers saw arrows flying towards the Orc army. He couldn't make out who was shooting them but he knew that the person shooting the arrow's was an elf. For the young king knew that elves had very good aim when using a bow. Aragorn was very familiar with the elven people and their accuracy when hitting an enemy. It was with Legolas when him and the Fellowship was sent out to destroy the ring that Sauron had made.

Bellona readied another arrow on to the bow. With speed and skillful aim, she took out three more. The orcs around became angry and some set out search for their assaliant. She moved silently throught the the area, covered quite well. However, as she took out another orc, she was spotted. She curssed herself for moving as an orc charged at her. She took out her sword and stabbed it in the stomach before it could land a hit however.

Bellona saw the army finally, hoping for some help. She was too tired to fight the army of orcs off, it was impossible for one elf to take out over 90 orcs. She shot another orc down witha bow and dodged another blow, however this caused her hood to fall off. Her moss colored eyes filled with pain as a gash formed on her arm where arn orc had managed to land a blow.

Aragorn soon saw the elf who was attacking the Orc's. "All troops ready on my signal to attack!" he yelled so his troops could get ready for the small battle ahead of them. The young king took out his own sword as did the soldiers. "Attack!" Aragorn yelled as the soldiers headed head on towards the Orc's on horses with their king leading them.

"Anyways, you need people of intelligence on this sort of... mission... quest... thing."

"None of us will ever know what lies around the bend; all the world becomes your home on a road that never ends."

Pippin let out a soft sigh as his pony continued to trek across the open field at a brisk pace. The young hobbit thane was currently making his way toward the Gondorian capital of Minas Tirith. There had been three years of peace in which Pippin had practically reveled in after all he had been through. But then, just as he had grown accustomed to the quiet life of the Shire once more, things had gone wrong again. Orcs were back and had been running amok, attacking people and spying for their masters. And though they had not reached the Shire, yet, it had not escaped the attention of the Counselor of the North-kingdom. With such dark creatures about, Pippin felt it his duty to meet with Aragorn, Gondor's king and one of Pippin's dearest friends, to find out exactly what was going on and what could be done about it.

And something definitely needed to be done. Even the relatively short journey from the halfling's homeland to the king's had been dangerous- the sword hanging from Pippin's waist had felled its share of enemies the past few days. At least, he thought, he was close to his destination. Close to a nice hot bath, a filling meal, and a soft bed. He smiled at the thoughts longing for the comfort they would bring to his tired body. The smile faded, though, into a slight frown as he squinted at the flurry of action on the horizon. He suspected (and feared) what might lay just ahead of him. His suspicions were confirmed as he neared the scene: a battle. He urged his pony faster, pulling his sword in order to defend himself from the violent orcs.

As he drew close enough to pick out the combatants, his eyes zeroed in first on the injured elf maiden then on Aragorn. A jolt ran through Pippin as he realized just how close they were to the city and seeing his friend in battle only solidified the hobbit's will to cut down these creatures. With a yell he rushed his pony in, saddled provisions and all, entering the skirism without a second thought. Though rider and beast were small, Pippin was quick to cut down orcs as they attacked him.

Blood flowed freely from the wound on her arm, and Bellona heard the battle cry, which turned to orcs attention from her. She noted that the army was easily taking out these hideous monsters. She held her arm painfully but sucked it up. She had to help, to show she was on their side. She shot three more orcs down that had went for the young King and turned to take out more. She gracefully moved, looking almost like a dancer in a way. She placed her bow back on her waist and drew her sword again.

She sliced through the creaures, helping some of the army members who had been hurt. Bellona was a well over competent fighter, able to hold her own bettwer than most male elves could.

Luckily for Aragorn and his men the battle didn't last long. The young king looked around the battle field and gave orders to the men who were still able to walk to get the wounded back to the city for treatment. He gripped his left arm where he had taken an Orc arrow and pulled it out. Luckily for him that the arrow didn't go to deep so he tied a cloth around the wound so it wouldn't continue to bleed. Aragorn looked at the young elf who had helped him and his army. The young king walked over to her. "Thank you and you might want those wounds to get checked," Aragorn said studying the elf.

Moss green eyes turned to look at the young king as he spoke to her. She had been cleaning off her blade when he spoke and when she turned, she became embarrassed. It was rare for anyone to see her face, as she hid it with her cloak, and she knew that it had fallen down in the skirmish.

His gaze was wise, despite his age, and she knew he had seen much. However, as he studied her, she felt more heat rise to her cheek and she placed the hood back over her face, where only her eyes could be seen. "Aye...I supposed I should."She said, her voice soft and gentle...like the wind of spring.

She looked at the wound on his arm and smiled weakly. "For a warrior, you seem to have a hard time wrapping your wound."She told him gently, her voice still soft as she reached out and took the cloth off. It was dirty anyway. If anyone else had said it, it would have sounded like they were insulting the king...but her voice made it known she was merely joking to ease tension. She took a clean piece of cloth out of the small bag she had her possession in and wrapped in professonally. She would do her own, but a mere bandage would not stifle the wound.
