- Both the Digital and Real world were safe at last, better yet, the two worlds managed to live in harmony. Most humans of the world had a Digimon partner of their own, and everybody was happy. Sure, the occasional fight broke out between the races, some people used their Digimon for personal gain instead of personal growth, but all problems were resolved by a special task force of police with powerful partner Digimon. The world was a perfect place.
As generations came and went the peace continued, and with everyone having a Digimon of their own the term 'Digi-Destined' became obsolete, nobody had seen a Digivice or D-3 in the longest of times. Only the decedents of the original Digi-Destined knew anything of the past, and even that faded to time and faulty memories.
Time went on, a hundred years after the worlds became unified something happened. People were celebrating, Digi-Day was a world wide holiday, celebrating the day the worlds joined and world peace spread throughout. Then an odd light filled the sky, first it was a magnificent golden light that was assumed to be apart of the celebrations, but then something bad happened. The light turned to darkness, it was as if every light on Earth had been extinguished, and the Digimon began to glow an eerie purple.
Before the eyes of those around them the Digimon all simultaneously began to de-Digivolve, and when the last one returned to an egg form they vanished without a trace.
Not a single Digimon was left on Earth, people were panicking and upset. Their beloved friends had vanished and not a single person knew why.
As the years went by not a single person had forgotten what happened, but nobody could figure out why it had happened. People within every Government tried to establish a connection to the Digital World, but all attempts were in vain. Nothing could be done, but nobody wanted to give up on their beloved Digimon friends.
Over time tensions grew, it wasn't long before a war broke out. Total chaos was growing, people would fight over the simplest of things. Something was wrong, very wrong with the balance. It wouldn't be long before the chaos reached irreversible levels and the Worlds would be corrupted.
People still hoped for their Digimon to return, some believed that the war was over Digimon. People put more and more effort into finding the Digimon and Digital world, until something odd happened. A global amnesia spread.
Over night the world seemed to forget about the Digimon and the Digital World. Sure, mentions of the Digimon and Digital world were still around, in newspapers and other media; but not a single person could remember who or what Digimon were.
Bit by bit the Digital and Real Worlds are being thrown into chaos. How and why are a mystery, and people are helpless to stop it.
