Welcome to Gaia! ::

Hi there. I am the captain of a guild that was recently reformatted, and is now called Paladin's Abode. It is a guild for nice people, so if you are nice you should try out. wink Right now, we're very small, but we do have 12.5k account at our disposal, so there is a lot of potential for growth. One subforum has already been created for roleplaying, and four subforums with other emphases will be made as we get more people and they decide collectively where we should go.

The link to our guild can be found right here. Hope to see you there!

Out of curiousity, for those of us members of the original guild, what incentive is there for us to continue to be apart of this?

This guild was originally a place, for those of us who hated the way ED had become, to come and have a safe haven to actually discuss a subject intellectually. Now its turned, basically, into a free for all for "nice" people.

So, as much asI was for remaining a member of the guild....I'm a little confused a to its reformation.

Isn't that what the guild was for? For nice people? Now you can have nice people without the elitists of ED to ruin it.

Although I do see your point. Posting about getting more members in a guild that is relatively secluded to only the ones we -know- aren't elitists makes it into a free-for-all. It's not necessarily the case. Even the most random people can be good for the growth of the guild just as long as they're nice and intelligent.

*Shrugs* To me a guild needs to expanded to make it better. Having more members is beneficial to it's existence. :3

*And I swear I'm on break...I'm not even suppose to be posting right now* crying

But Feana asked me to help bump this~<3

The guild was originally there for people to have intelligent ED discussions without the flaming,trolling, and bashing that Ed has become. It was never for the elite...it was to get away from them and still enjoy the discussions.

I'm all for new members because they bring new topics. As long as they're able to keep with the rules and such. What my question was asking is:

The guild has turned into a catch-all, RPs and such that were never part of the original guild. That were never meant to be part of the guild. So for us orignal members of the guild; what happened to the orignal purpose of it and how does losing it benefit us?

Kay, I see what you're saying.

The RP is just one part of the guild probably for fun purposes instead of intelligent discussion. While debates are still the original purpose of the guild the RP subforum is just an overall fictional story for everyone to play along with. Debates are sort of wearing and with the addition of the RP it's really a place for members to become a part of a story.

And other subforums could create organization for the main forum.

But my response isn't as good as Feana's so I'll just let you wait for her response. sweatdrop
