Hiiii.
I've got a quick little review for EOS' Gothic 3 tones Grey lenses.
First, a quick review of the seller. I bought the lenses at
LensVillage. With standard shipping ($5.00), lenses from here take about two weeks to arrive. I do most of my lens purchases here since they've been very reliable for me and always reply promptly to my communications. They package well and pad the vials thoroughly, as well as include a free lens case.
Now on to the lenses themselves.
They have a 14.5 mm diameter, which for me provides the right balance of enlargement and believability. Since these lack a strong dark limbal ring, they are more on the natural side. In addition, the grey is a true grey (not blueish grey), and they are not an icy or bright grey, so they are even more natural for that. If you want lenses for cosplay or super-dramatic looks, I might not get these, but they are great for everyday use. The three tone design does not look as serpentine as it can on other lenses, and the brown part in the center blends well with both the natural eye color (mine is dark brown) and the grey of the lens. Most people do not realize that I am wearing lenses unless they get really close, but they are noticeable enough in color and enlargement to make a good difference. These are actually my favorite lenses for everyday wear.
I've bought these in the past and this particular pair was not as comfortable as I've had before (of the same brand/model). Not sure what's up with that. They were not horribly uncomfortable. I experienced a little irritation when putting them in and I can usually keep them in for about 6 hours without issue.
So, for an overall rating scheme...
Color: 4/5 (I love that these aren't super bright, but other people may want more color payoff)
Design: 5/5 (Very natural!)
Enlargement: 4/5 (Natural, but not as much as you might expect for a 14.5 mm circle lens. Get one with a limbal ring if you want more enlargement)
Comfort: 3/5 (Again, this particular pair...)
Seller: 5/5 (Always reliable and professional)
