Typically gif images aren't created in screen resolution sizes because the file would be huge and it would take forever to load.
So if you would like a similar background it would have to be a still version of something similar to it.

how do people get animated backrounds then o _o

Most of them are stretched, so the quality is pixely and not always great. I know some have still backgrounds with gif effects layered over them
