Can DHS give her input on the idea?

The Techibis are given an option between only a few different personalities, because of the complications involved with each having it's own unique personality. would not, then, the same reign true on powers? A set would be released with one power. So each techibi had the same power. Now, how they use the power could vary, I suppose, dependent on RP.

Example: Steve and Carey are in the same set. Their ability is "Heat Ray". Steve shoot super-hot laser out of his eyes, while Carey shoots these same lasers out of the tips of her fingers.

Obviously not all sets would be able to differ so easily with abilities, such as flight, but the type of wing could make the difference in the type of flight. But with several creative minds together, I'm sure you could very well create some unique and fun sets.

Auctions sets, perhaps, could have different powers that all related I suppose. Like say a dog set, one could have super-keen hear, one could have a great sense of smell, another could be able to sense things like storms (6-th sense).

It seems like it would be fun that way and not stray too far from the simplicity that the shop has been built on. :3

P.S. DHS claims any dog-based Techibis that wander through this thread. She would LOVE a Collie techibi x.x!

[I didn't read the entire AIM convo, but is the general idea for the abilities to be the reward from RP? Like they are "unlocked" or through RP they can develop them more, and the abilities help develop not only the character, but eventually can be used as an ability in the arena?

I know, the whole thing went by supar fast. We'll try to fill you in on everything, but for now you can read Philyra's short description in the staff room. It gives a basic overview of what we're talking about.

NOTHING IS SET IN STONE! To be honest, we're not entirely sure what we'll be doing, or even if we WILL be doing it. We've just been popping out ideas and seeing what we think, and so far we've had a lot of interesting and sometimes conflicting ideas that we've thrown out. So... suggestions are appreciated, but kind of hard to incorporate at the moment as we're not sure how we'll be doing even the basics of the arena. We still have a lot to discuss on the subject before I'm really comfortable with giving out anymore information because I don't want anyone to be excited or discouraged at such an early stage in the project.

If anyone is particularly curious, we'll probably start testing battles and stuff in the guild here in a few days. I don't think the forum will be staff only, so maybe people can see what exactly we're talking about then.

We're trying to make it so people can choose to RP their techibis, they can choose to fight with them, they can choose to just collect them, or they can just buy one and never look at it again. Any combination of these will also be fine, and none of those options are required. The shop is casual in every respect, so we're not going to make anything RP required (aside from the 4th stage...). :l

That said, no formal announcements will be given until we know what we're doing. xD But I will say that both Philyra and Blue Winged have been hired (although blue was sort of already helping out with the writing...).
