Notes:

Your color work is good - the brush usage on the third one's belly is a little obvious, but easily corrected by taking a little time to erase where the brush goes past the natural belly area.

Your edits could be acceptable with a little work. Once you've put in the lines for the item, you need to add a little more to give the illusion of three dimensions - a little shading and just a little extra line work past the original image's base lines makes all kinds of difference:

Thank you for the notes! ^.^ Shading is something I'm still working on learning, so I'm always looking on pointers to improve. ^.^

I don't shade so well myself, that's why I try and find templatists to work with [and I've been very lucky to find some amazing people to work with on that].

But if you're interested in doing edits, you need to be able to do at least basic shading. Even if it's just 'shadow around the bottom edge.' To shade I use a separate layer above the color with the brush at about 25% flow and opacity and the color at black [one can always change the color after the shade's there].
