I have a Bamboo Fun.
It's good for really small things. For actual drawings, not so much. I had a Wacom Volito before (they have been discontinued) and it lasted me a long time. Overall Wacoms have a good lifespan.

Nope, tektek got too comfortable using copyrighted gaia property illegally and gaia asked them to take it down. Tektek then got pissy and took the whole site down.

Tektek is a site with gaia items all over it, and they started using gaia graphics as well, then the start advertising a competing site? Bad business.

Like, if Lolli and bull made a site for people to color and created pets from my shop, then started using my banners, then started advertising Charms, I'd be more than a little pissed, and vice versa.

Also, the letters don't even mention the rival site, just the /illegal/ use of /gaias/ images and property.

Nnnn. Everyone is going to have differing opinions, to be honest.

Such as it being addressed now. Gaia knew about Tektek and even indirectly supported it; the Welcoming Fairy links to Tektek, proving this.

Yeah... I see why Gaia has put the hammer down, as a business. But to be honest, I think there would have been a better move... > ~> Still, I don't know all the circumstances, I don't work for Gaia. To be honest, I think this all came to light because of Tektek crashing. Which drew a spotlight on it and many gaian's went to Gaia staff for a solution, unaware of the fact that Tektek is not own by Gaia. Not saying this is the reason, just a speculation as to why they're taking action now.

As it is, I need to go through and save a bunch of Avis for GO. > ~> This really puts a kink in some of the plans but we'll work through.

Like the waif pointed out, Gaia has been well aware of tektek and has fully supported it. They even announced so in the staff update. xD

Regardless, I don't know all the legal reasoning behind why they sent a letter to request the site to be shut down, other than the fact that the creator was advertising his own site that garners to the same audience(That and, obviously, gaia's copyrighted material). However; it is what it is. And we can't exactly do anything about it, other than voice our opinions about it. Personally, I don't agree with it, even though they probably have legal jurisdiction to shut tektek down. It's sad, it makes everything much more difficult, but, I'll deal. It throws a kink in the works for the event, but it's nothing that we can't work around.

I hope for the best, I really do. As for now, I'll just wait and see what comes about. This week's AtS is sure to prove interesting if nothing else unfolds between now and then.
