I'll break this down in steps.
But I don't have any pictures to cover this method !
Step 1.
Acquire a Pokemon with the move Sweet Scent, I use Teddiursa.
This move attracts hordes to you.
Or you can use Honey but you're going to need A LOT of it.
Step 2.
Run and Repeat.
Find a field or cave, and use the move.
A horde will show up.
For example, in frost cavern, a horde of Cubchoo, Vanilette, or Smoochum will appear.
Don't waste time battling, just run away and then use the move again.
Step 3.
Be patient !
It can take hours for a shiny to show up.
But by using this horde method you are increasing the chances of one appearing faster.
You have more Pokemon showing up each battle, rather than just 1 on 1.
✖ Friend Safari Hunting ✖
As far as we can tell there is an increased Shiny Rate in Friend Safaris.
So here are some tricks for you to use !
1.
Acquire a Pokemon with the ability Illuminate, such as Staryu.
This ability increases your wild encounter rate.
2.
Use your Encounter O-Power.
This will also increase your chance of running into wild Pokemon.
3.
Ride your bike, move faster, more steps, more Pokemon.
4.
Flee, don't waste time battling.
Once again you have to have patience !
It could take hours for a shiny to show, the tricks above are just to help you get there a little faster.
