This is the original pocky petition, started by me five years ago, and still going strong!
This petition was started in the hopes that Gaia might consider bringing Pocky (and other Japanese food related items) to Gaia for users to equip onto their avatars!
While some things, such as the Onigiri, (and other Japanese foods that have been petitioned in the past) have been created, we have yet to see anything resembling our favorite snack, pocky. Come on Gaia! Gaians want their pocky!
Now, there has been disputes over whether or not Pocky is copyrighted, and therefore not allowed onto Gaia without the company's consent, but this is an easy problem to resolve! Pocky, like a lot of popular foods, always has an off brand that closely resembles (and often times is the same thing) as the original thing! In this case, with a virtual item however, you simply call it something else. Such as the Biscuit Stick, which is essentially all that Pocky is. =] And if you pay close enough attention to the site itself, Gaia has already done this in quite a few cases! The Ninja Headband? Well, we all know where that idea came from. There's other cases as well.
However, we want Pocky to be affordable for all users of Gaia! So, at a maximum of 100 gold, hopefully both new and old members of Gaia are able to buy heaps of pocky, in a wide spectrum of colors (or flavors).
But wait!
What is pocky anyway?
Well, if you want all the details I would consider googling it. Wikipedia.
But to put it simply Pocky is a Japanese snack food seen frequently in animes and in real life! Sometimes it can even be purchased in Oriental supermarkets or even in Walmart if you live in the U.S and it comes in a wide multitude of flavors. Essentially it is a pretzel-or even a slightly sweet cookie- stick that is dipped into a flavored cream, or chocolate (and even nuts), allowed to harden, and then packaged in the familiar rectangular box we recognize it by. The popular flavors are chocolate or strawberry, but depending on where you go almost every flavor can be purchased, depending on the buyers preference. ^__^
So what do I do?
Well, it's simple! Just post your 'signature' in the thread! I won't be adding names anymore since it's so long and I can't keep up, but I thank you for showing your interest in the idea! Hopefully the moderators and admins will hear us and make this petition a reality in the future. ^_^
