May I ask how could some one be "too" old to lead a rebellion?but I am not saying she exact at 20 years of age but they engaged in maritals around that time frame.

if it involves a lot of rugged travel and melee combat. especially for a woman who is most likely out of shape too.

if you are right then that would make aisha more than age 50 and most likely past menopause. and yet she was uninjured when she got thrown off that camel. it makes less sense.

if the hadiths were right then aisha would only be 45 then. stronger, more fit, more fiery in character.
My grandfather at 80 was stronger than some 45-year-olds. I don't think you can argue that age alone disqualifies someone. Old men fought in the American Revolutionary War, after all.

Exactly what I would have said,"old" is just a state of mind, and it really depepnds on how healthy and fit the person is.

Maybe because your grandfather had been very active physically throughout his life.

What about Aisha? She had been a celebrity most her life. And as a female in arabia, were mostly at home. Its very unlikely that she had remained fit.

Im not judging her character, just considering the possibilities of her physique.

He wasn't especially physically active, and he smoked and drank and ate too much salt.

There is no way of knowing whether it was unlikely or not. I've been mostly indoors for the last week, and I haven't been working out. My body maintains itself well regardless. Hers may have had a fast metabolism, or she may simply have exercised. Who knows? Who cares? It's entirely plausible that she was fit enough to run a marathon.

Indeed. Not to mention the feats a person is capable of in times of need.

Like Brammimond, I'd like to stay here, because I barely get time to get online anymore, and would like to discuss one thing.
