I have to zoom out and get close to the screen to figure out if I need to move things and if you can see them or not.
Some of the small detail like sparkles I really like doing though xD just mouse the mouse and clicking rapidly then shading~ instant sparkles. Have you tried doing animal slippers? D: it kills me.

Well... My dolls feetsies are pretty large = ^=

Hmm what program do you use to do your dolls? o: I've got corel psp x2, I do everything in layers so when I'm shading one thing I don't mess up anything else and can move it around freely.

I do it the same way ...though with such tiny dolls the change of messing things up isn´t that high ...
you know ...when you have a two pixel wide something you just shade one pixel and leave the other ..no big deal XD

That's so true xD Its mostly hair and main items like shorts/pants I have problems with, trying to shade it but not making it too overwhelming.

yes hair is the hardest to shade >.< ....

though hats tend to be troublesome to ...
cause they are usually rather big XD
