Aside from the film adaptations, there are only two short books (light novels? Books? Whatever) of the series that I'm aware of.
Another Note: The Los Angels BB Murder Cases and L Change the World. Both are quite good in my opinion.
Or at the very least I enjoyed them both thoroughly.

Also. Near is my favorite character out of everyone, haha.

Nah, they just look alike. If they were brothers, they would treat each like one i guess. Also, they would have made a note of it. at least, that's what should happen.
