What's the difference between self-confidence and being full of oneself?

I imagine the person with confidence doesn't need to ignore others to feel good about themselves. Whereas you usually imagine the person, who is just full of themselves, as someone who wants to bring other people down.

I never knew about Operation Beautiful. I think it's a wonderful idea. Everyone is beautiful, and it's a shame that people can't see that. I know, though, that it can be easier to find the beauty in others than to find it in yourself.

I support this thread simply for the fact of the inclusion of "Operation" in it.

I found out about Operation Beautiful on a feminist/weight acceptance blog I love to read and the second I saw it I thought "I want to make a Gaia thread for that!" but never did. After a couple of months of never seeing a thread for it I decided it was time to spread the word to Gaia.
