“Да, я знаю маму. Я буду хорошим, и я позвоню тебе каждый вечер перед сном. Я тоже тебя люблю,” The blonde Russian spoke over the phone with her over-protective mother who wanted to check in on her, “Хорошо, я действительно нужно, чтобы мой багаж и начать работать, поэтому я могу встретиться с людьми, я буду останавливаться с. Я поговорю с тобой позже.” Maryana rolled her eyes when her mother kept babbling on as she walked through the airport trying to find the location of the luggage carrier. This was the eighteen-year old woman’s first time out of her birth country of Russia, and her mother was sick with worry hoping that she wouldn’t get lost or kidnapped on her way there. This was also the first time that she wasn’t accompanied by either of her parents, Maryana was worried too. Although she was more excited than she was worried, she was looking forward to exploring different parts of the world though. It was a thrilling experience for her so far.

When the mother was finally finished talking her ear off, she located the luggage carrier as she hung up with the woman. Maryana crossed over within five long strides, and joined the large group of people waiting to pick-up their stuff as well. The blonde fiddled nervously with her fingers as she waited patiently for her own bags to come out, she has always been super nervous around big crowds. Being in a different Country where all the laws and regulations were different, it only made her feel anxious the longer she remained her. When her blue eyes finally caught sight of the light purple duffle bags, Maryana smiled out of relief as she quickly reached over to grab the bags and quickly padded over toward the elevador as fast as she could. The people that she’ll be staying with for the rest of the year should already be here; they told her that they would be here around four o’clock when the plane landed. They should be downstairs waiting for her near the entrance of the American airport.

Ignoring the anxiety that was building up, the blonde took a deep breath while she squeezed herself into the small elevator that was packed with other foreigners and tourists that reeked of cigarette smoke. Maryana pursed her lips watching the lights switch from the second to the first floor, and dashed out as soon as the doors opened. Upon walking out of the elevator, she noticed a few groups of people holding up different signs with different names written on them. One of them read, ‘Maryana Makari’ and it was held up by a couple that looked like they could be in their early to mid forties and they had such kind faces. When the mother noticed her walking over to them, she smiled politely, ”Are you Miss. Maryana Makari?” she asked with friendly curiosity.

”Uhh..yes,” The Russian gave her new temporary family a nervous smile as she was trying to remember the right words in English to use, ”I’m Maryana…pleased to…know you?” she told them, although it was more of a question than it was a statement. She wasn’t used to speaking in the foreign language yet; her aunt was fluent in both English and Russian, and taught her how to speak in both languages. Although the lessons were helpful, she still had her clumsy moments of terrible grammar and her accent was still a thick one and difficult to understand.

”You’re doing just fine, dear,” The mother told her gingerly as the father help her with two of the large bags in her hands, ”Our car is parked outside in the front, please follow us.” Maryan nodded her head with a smile as she followed the couple to their car. When all of her bags were packed in the trunk, she took her seat in the back while the couple took their seats in the front. The entire car ride was full of idle conversation, mainly the mother wanting to learn more about Maryana herself and Russia. She didn’t mind all the questions, she began feeling more comfortable around them and the woman’s curiosity was quite welcome.

Pulling up in front of the unfamiliar house, the couple began helping Maryana unload the bags from the trunk, ”Alright, we have the guest room all ready for you upstairs.” The father told her as he placed the bags on the ground in front of the stair case, ”Do you need any help from here.” he inquired willing to help her if she really needed it.

The blonde gave them a smile, ”I got it from ‘ere, thanks though.” She chirped picking up the bags to carry them all up the stairs one by one. When Maryana put the last bag up, she walked over to one of the doors to see if it was the one that she was supposed to go to. She was never given any directions and she didn’t want to bother them by asking which one it was. Although as soon as she opened the door, she noticed someone was in there and her cheeks were burning from embarrassing, ”Oh! So sorry!”

                                              ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
A small yawn escaped Riley’s lips as he sat in his first period class ignoring the grotesque over-weight teacher who was busy preaching about things that clearly had nothing to do with math. Algebra was his worst subject, he was in his last year of high school and he was supposed to be out of this class already. The only reason why Riley was still in the class was because all he did in class last year was fall asleep, he never did any work nor did he even try. Mrs. Flag refused to let him pass the class, and she had demanded that he’d take it again if he wanted to graduate with the rest of his senior class. Graduation honestly wasn’t that big of a deal to Riley, the only reason why he was still here was because his mother would probably strangle the life out of him if he were to drop out of high school.

”Mr. Mckinley, are you paying attention to this lesson,” The woman asked leering at him in a way that made him cringe in fear. Out of all the teachers in his school, he definitely hated this one the most.

Riley snapped his head to back to her instantly and nodded his head, ”Uh! Sure! 12 is equivalent to pie, right?” he asked with his silly grin rubbing the back of his neck nervously. Only a few kids in the class laughed at that joke; the ones that actually didn’t treat him like dirt, while the rest of them who did hate his guts only scoffed and shook their heads. It’s always been like that since elementary school, people didn’t like him for stupid reasons and no one really wanted to be friend’s with him. Hell, most of the time it seemed like his own mother would rather hang out at sleazy bars than hang out with him in the living room longer than twenty minutes. It made Riley very sad, he didn’t know what was wrong him or why what drove people away from him in the first place. Although no matter how upset it made him, he always put on his happy-go-lucky smile and hoped that everything could change for the better. Only it never did.

The bell signaling the end of all the classes finally chimed and Riley stood up to his feet and sped off before the mean teacher had the chance to lecture him. Again. However, as soon as he ran out of the classroom he ran straight into Vaughn who was waiting for him outside, ”Hey little girl,” he called out inching towards him with an evil smirk over his face, ”bold move back there, then again, you have always been a dumbass..” he taunted wanting to see the younger teenager cower underneath him.

Riley smiled nervously as he was trying to back away from the bully not noticing someone walking up behind him, ”Oh, sorry about that,” he looked down to see a girl behind him drop her books and bent down to help her, “Are you new here or something?” he questioned with a friendly smile wanting to get to know her.

Although Vaughn was quick to jump in the middle of them, ”Oh no no no,” he said stepping in between them pushing Riley back harshly, ”She is way out of your luggage, bucko.” he told him with a glare as he wrapped his arm around the girl to pull her away.

A green eye fluttered open, instantly blinded by the early morning sunshine. Shielding his eyes with his arm, Alfie's mouth opened into a wide O as he yawned. He sat up and thew his legs over the side of the bed, his eyes flickering to the alarm clock on the bedside table. It read 6:23a.m. No wonder the alarm hadn't gone off yet. A knock sounded on the door before it opened. "We're heading to the airport now, honey," an older woman said from the doorway. From her expression, Alfie could tell that his mother was concerned and somewhat disappointed. It was finally the day of the long-awaited Foreign Exchange students arrival, yet he wasn't going with his parents to retrieve the Russian girl he had signed up for. "Are you sure you don't want to go?" She asked for the third time in the past two days. Sighing, he stood from the bed and ran a hand through his dark, thick, curly hair. The least he could do - well, wanted to do - was walk his mother and father to the car and see them off, though the airport was only thirty minutes away.

Once the car was out of sight, the brunette turned on the heels of his socks and headed back indoors. His family had more than a decent amount of money, whereas the house and the neighborhood in which he lived was quite lovely. The houses were, at least, three-stories, and they each had a double garage and a private, fenced-in yard. He grabbed an almost full carton of milk from the fridge and chugged it down while waiting for his toast to pop out of the toaster. He sat at the bar, getting ready to watch the plasma-screen television, but an idea had popped into his head. He smirked and climbed the stairs to his room, where he grabbed his phone and a ripped-off piece of napkin from under the pillow and dialed the number he had gotten from a waitress just last night. He was home alone, and though it wouldn't be for too long, it would be long enough.

Not even ten minutes later, a loud ding traveled throughout the house. He rushed down the steps and to the front door. During the wait, he had gotten dressed into black jeans and a white v-neck. He ran a hand and tousled his hair one last time before pulling open the door to reveal a black-haired, busty beauty. His eyes caught on the chest poking out from the top of the shirt until she cleared her throat. "Oh, right. Come in," he said smoothly, moving aside and closing the door behind her. She seemed amazed at all of the nice, expensive furniture, and he knew he already had her. Time to do his thing. He wrapped his arm around her waist and guided her to his bedroom. Although he didn't even know her name, both of their clothes were on the floor, and their bodies were tangled together on the bed.

"You told me no one was going to be home!" The girl said through gritted teeth, pushing Alfie off of her. She grabbed her clothes from the floor and hurried to put them on, as did Alfie. He apologized, but he was only disappointed he hadn't gotten the chance to finish. Had an hour really gone by that fast? The girl cursed before falling on top of him, her pants down at her ankles. The door creaked open, and an unfamiliar blonde gasped in shock and turned away in complete embarrassment. The waitress jumped up, pulled on her clothes and brushed passed the girl in the doorway. "Never call me again!" She yelled, and the front door slammed.

Rolling his eyes, he grabbed his shirt from the floor and slipped it on. It was almost 7:30, and he would be late for school if he didn't leave in the next few minutes or so. "So," he started, "You must be the Russian chick?" His eyes scanned her from head-to-toe, and he was happy with what he saw. He thought about making this girl one of his future targets. He, also, brushed passed her. "Just leave your bags here for now or you'll be late on your first day. I'll take you. Come on," he finished. As soon as he reached the bottom step, his eyes met his mother, who had her hands on her hips and her lips pursed. He already knew what was coming, so he said, "Sorry about that. Anyway, I'm taking her," he signaled back to the steps with a nudge of his head, "to school, so later."

He grabbed his keys from the kitchen counter and left the front door open for the girl. He started up the fancy sports car and waited. Thankfully, the high school was only a couple minutes away.

            - - - -

            "You shouldn't push yourself."

The artificial redhead's eyes landed on the man who was beginning to unpack one of the several boxes around him. "I know, but I want to go to school," Clementine replied, her voice almost a whisper. The two of them had just settled into their new home last night - a couple hours ago - and neither one of them had slept yet. However, she would much rather be at school, where she wouldn't have time to think about her old life. It was time for a forced new beginning, but she wasn't quite ready to leave all of her friends behind. Sighing, she dabbed at the newly forming tears with the sleeves of her sweatshirt. It wasn't cold or chilly out, but something about wearing a sweatshirt made her feel more comfortable.

Opening the door, she lifted a frail hand in an attempt to wave a goodbye. "I'm leaving now." The door closed before her father could get in another word. She wasn't entirely sure where the school building was, but she knew it was within walking distance, though walking distance could get a bit far if you ended up lost. She rubbed the back of her neck before placing her hands on the straps of the bag attached to her back. She swerved her way through various streets until she ended up on what seemed to be a highway. "Thank, God," she said to herself, spotting the school building directly across the street. It was much, much larger than she was used to, and she figured the student body would be the same. She had just come from a school containing two hundred students, so this would be a far stretch.

Her eyes darted nervously as she made her way up to the entrance. Though the new school year hadn't started too long ago, cliques had already been formed and were more than obvious: there were the jocks, the preps, the artists, the band geeks, the nerds, the theatrical entertainers, and, of course, the outcasts. Back at home, it seemed as if her and her friends were their own clique, and she wondered if she would find her place here. She flashed a few forced smiles, and she could hear whispers amongst one or two groups. Was it really obvious that she was new meat? She slid past a group of socializing friends at the steps before pushing open the the door and slipping inside.

"Excuse me," she chirped, biting her lip. A brunette averted her attention from the locker in front of her long enough to glance over her shoulder, waiting for the next words to be spoken. "Where is the main office?" She bit her lip once more and clung tighter to the straps that were still in her hands. "Thank you." She smiled brightly, and the girl smiled back and wished a good luck. Stepping into the office, she wobbled to the desk and stared around after the woman stuck up a finger to signal one sec. The woman placed the phone back onto its hook.

            "How may I help you?"

"I'm Clementine Norman, the new student."

"Oh! Welcome, welcome!" The woman jumped up from her seat, retrieved some paper from a folder and guided Clementine throughout the halls of the school. The two of them came to a halt in front of a door. "And that's about it! Here's a copy of your schedule, and if you need anything, you know where the office is! Have a wonderful first day, kiddo!" She disappeared, and the redhead let breathed out in relief. She hadn't understood a thing since it was being explained so quick. She would have to figure out everything by herself. After a few moments of hesitation, she slipped into the room in front of her.

First period seemed to end quickly; she had interrupted the lesson, and there wasn't much of a lesson after that since everyone was more interested in asking her questions. She was glad that was over with until second period, and more people would have the same and other questions to ask. "This blows," she whispered as she wandered out into the hallway, only to run into someone and drop her books. "Ope! I'm so sorry. I wasn-" She was interrupted by an apology on the other person's end instead, and the two of them both bent down to gather the books. She glanced around, and a horde of students had circled around the two - no, definitely three - of them. What had she gotten in the way of?

"Yeah, I'm new, and I'm so so-" She was, once again, interrupted when a males arms wrapped around her and pulled her towards him. Her eyes widened, a small gasp escaped her lips. Finally, she knew what was going on. Bullying, one of the things she hated most. She pushed herself away from the stranger who had grabbed her and said, "You're gross, getting pleasure from picking on others. He'll always be the better person, and you, the scum." She turned around to face the one who had helped pick up her stuff and apologized once more before weaving through the group of students and dashing through the halls.

"What a way to start the day."

(( Ohmygod, I'm so sorry! I didn't think it'd turn out this long! My other replies will be shorter, I promise, and I hope this was okay! ^^ ))

Maryana wasn’t sure of what to think as she watched the bimbo scream at the man, who she suspected was the one who had arranged for her to come down here, and push passed her to leave the room, “Vhat a b***h..” she thought rolling her eyes at the rude girl who left. A small pink blush crossed over her cheeks as she averted her blue eyes while the man put his shirt back on, “’The Russian chick?’ Really?” He didn’t know her name at all? It was strange that his parents knew her name and could pronounce it perfectly well, and he didn’t.

”Maryana Makari,” The blonde politely corrected not really liking the nickname he had given her, ”An’ you should be Alfie?” Of course it was him, and she’s already seen more of the man then she already liked. There was no way that the awkward meeting was going to leave her mind anytime soon, Maryana wished that she would have asked for directions instead of walking in on something like that.

When the handsome man had suggested to leave her bags where they were for now, Maryana nodded her head as she followed him out to the car to go to school. Although she had only just arrived in America and she couldn’t get any sleep on the airplane, she was actually very excited to go there and make new friends. The silent car ride was only a few minutes long, she didn’t know what to say to Alfie and didn’t want to make anymore bad first impressions. Although Maryana was sure that they would be sharing a few classes together since Alfie was the one who had to teach her about the classes and help her around so she wouldn’t have to worry about getting lost.

After arriving to the school building, the blonde grabbed her folded up schedule paper to look at the list of some of her classes, ”Vould you..uh..show me vhere these are?” she asked him with a sheepish smile as she handed him the paper since it was still difficult for her to read the English language.

                                              ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Both of the guys stood there slack jawed at the redhead’s bold response; that has never happened before, one woman alive has ever rejected Vaughn’s advances before. Especially not to defend Riley, he was used to being mistreated by his peers and ignored, but not defended. The bigger brunette only scoffed in response as he brushed shoulders with Riley, ”This isn’t over yet, little girl,” he threatened in a dangerously low tone as he meet up with the rest of his teammates.

Riley only shook his head when his tormentor was no longer in sight and looked back over to the redhead who still looked like she was lost, ”Hey! Do you need any help?” It couldn’t hurt to offer, plus she didn’t seem like the stuck-up snooty type unlike majority of the population of their high school. She seemed more down-to-earth and very polite, she could end up being one of the few friends that he had. Riley was more than willing to try to see if anything good can come out of this situation.

”I can see if we have any classes together,” The brunette offered with a friendly smile as he held out his hand to check her paper to see if they did. When he was handed the paper, he looked through the list of classes and cracked a small smile, ”Yeah we do share some classes. I also have U.S government next, I can show you where it is.” he chirped handing her schedule back and used his hand to motion her over as he strolled down to the 800 hallway, ”So how is your first day so far?” he questioned wanting to start a conversation with the girl.

ooc; It's fine~ xD I actually thought of more ideas for the roleplay and how things can go. I'll be sending you a pm very soon~

Pulling into a rather tight parking spot in front of the school, Alfie brought the car to a stop, retrieved the key and leaned back in the drivers seat. He glanced over at the blonde, who was holding out a sheet a paper. He raised an eye brow before taking it from her. His eyes scanned it before slipping it into his pocket and stepping out on the pavement. "They should really have someone else do this. Some of us have better things to do," he said with a sigh, closing the car door. The October breeze was the slightest bit of chilly against his bare skin, and it caught and swept his scent of pine cologne under Maryana's nose. He combed through his curls with three fingers before heading for the entrance, signaling for the Exchange student to follow him.

While showing her around to the wrong classes on purpose, an obvious smirk was apparent. He thought back to why he even signed up for an exchangee. Oh, right. His friend, Vaughn, annoyed him into it; the douche talked about how he should get one, so he could get closer and sleep with her and then pass her around like a joint. For a while, he wanted to kick himself in the a**, but after seeing her, he definitely did not regret it.

"I'll be looking forward to seeing you in AP Bio and AP Lit, princess," he said over her shoulder. He clicked his tongue, pointed a finger and winked in her direction. The bell for second period would ring any minute now, but of course, he'd be excused - not only because he was showing around a student, but because he had also slept with the teacher; he could get away with anything in that class. Shooting charming smiles in girls directions to make their panties drop, a recognizable voice faintly called his name. He stopped walking and turned around to face Vaughn. He had already come to the conclusion that he was beyond pissed.

"That new girl is totally hot," he started with a grin. "But she stuck up for that emo pansy." Alfie knew he meant Riley, the laughing stock of the entire school. The others only laughed because it would be them next if they didn't. Alfie always chose to stay out of it - not do anything about it but not get involved either. Being the complete d**k he was, he wasn't one to pick fights with people that didn't mess with him, and Riley had never done one thing wrong. Teasing was one thing, but fighting was a whole 'nother story. The two of them started to class as Vaughn went on and on, but Alfie had already tuned out.

His brain was back on the Exchange student. He thought of everyone's faces and whispers as she walked into the wrong classes. Chuckling to himself, he stuck his hands in his pockets, but one hit a piece of paper. Her schedule.

            - - - -

Ignoring the stares and whispers around her as students walked by on their way to second period, Clementine fixed her posture after she caught her breath. She fixed the black beanie upon her head and smoothed out her clothes. It had suddenly become extremely hot, and she felt the need to take off the sweatshirt. Of course, she wouldn't, though. She took a few looks around before tilting her head to the side. Where was she? She hadn't even been paying attention in her desperate getaway. When she realized someone was standing beside her, she jumped a noticeable bit then chuckled at herself. The corners of her lips tilted into a smile, relieved that it was only the guy she had stuck up for a moment ago.

"Lost? Nope. Just temporarily misplaced," she said with a small laugh. She was totally lost. Looking back, the crowd of students had finally moved on with their lives. "Well, lovely people, I see," she joked, handing her schedule to him when he outstretched his hand. She hated being a burden on others, but she didn't have much of a choice at the moment. She took a mental note to make it up to him late. Maybe she could buy him a snack or drink at lunch.

Even more relieved to know that. . . what's his name? "Oh, yea-" She jumped once more when he attempted to hand the paper containing her schedule back to her. Wow, nice going. Great impression, she thought, biting her lip until it was almost numb. He started walking as if he hadn't seen anything, and she really appreciated it. More to thank him for later. Her feet fell in line with his, and her eyes fell to the ground. He seemed like a lively person, or maybe he just really wanted to make her feel more comfortable with being new when something like that just happened on her first day. "What's your name?" She blurted out, her eyes widened for half a second, noticing that her voice was a bit loud. "Sorry," she added quietly, clenching the schedule tighter in her hand.

"Thanks for this," she started, smiling over at him. The bell sounded and made her words come out as a squeak. "Wow, fancy. We didn't even have bells back at my old school." She watched her feet move - left, right, left, right. Her heartbeat was beginning to return to normal, though she still felt extremely misplaced in such a school with such people. "Oh, it's going wonderful." Bitterness dripped from her words as she spoke about her first day. The two of them stopped in front of a door. "So, this is the place, yeah? Thanks for this, and see you after class."

Though they were going to the same place, she knew she wouldn't get a chance to talk to him during class. She opened the door, walked in and found an empty seat - nowhere near Riley - waiting for the questions to start being shot her way.

Is it possible to hate someone after knowing them for only a few minutes? If not, than this would have been the first time in history because Maryana was biting her tongue trying not to say anything snarky to upset her new housemate. Alfie was aloof towards her saying something about having better things to do, and she could feel her right hand tense up urging to smack him in the mouth. The blonde refrained herself from doing so as she opened the passenger door to slide out of the car and onto the gravel, "You know, it vouldn't kill you to be helpful for once in your life..." she thought rolling her eyes as she followed the other male inside of the school building.

Maryana didn't like the smirk that she had seen on the boy's face when he was showing her to all of her classes. There was something about it that she couldn't trust, but there wasn't anything she could do about it. The blonde only glared at Alfie as he walked off from her, ignoring that sarcastic princess comment he made to her. With a deep sigh, Maryana ventured into the classroom that Alfie had insisted was her U.S government class, "U-Umm. Excuse me," she ignored all the stares and whispers from the students as the teacher gave her his full attention, "I-Is this U.S government?" she inquired hoping that the a*****e didn't send her to the wrong class.

"I'm sorry, miss, but this is 11th grade Algebra. Do you know what teacher you have for the class and I can help you get there?" The elder teacher asked politely pushing his glasses up the bridge of his nose.

An apologetic smile curved over the Russian girl's lips as she reached into her pockets to find her schedule..that wasn't there. Maryana must have left it with Alfie, or he never had given it back and gave her the wrong classroom number on purpose. Embarrassment spread across the blonde's heated cheeks as her eyes averted to the ground in shame, "I-I don't have my schedule, the one who I'm staying vith took it. And told me that this was the right class," she explained making it known that none of this was her fault. She wouldn't let herself look like the idiot when her housemate was being an a*****e stealing her class papers and giving her the wrong directions.

"Ah well, you can go to the main office and ask them to print you another schedule, and tell you where your classes are. It's right on down the hall near the 200 hallway." He was still being polite, however he was quick to shoo her off because he had a class to teach.

"Thank you," Maryana chirped happily as she left the room to find the main office to get another schedule. When she found it, the woman behind the main desk was busy typing up papers on the computer in front of her, "Would I be able to have another schedule, miss? My name is Maryana Makari." Although the woman didn't say a single word to her, she simply nodded her head and printed out a new copy of the paper, "Thanks." she whispered before turning to leave the classroom.

Although it took a while for her locate her second period, she managed to find it near the last 30 minutes of the class. She smiled nervously as she took the seat next to the redhead girl who looked distracted by the note passing with some black-haired boy in the back. "Hello," Maryana greeted the girl when she was able to get a word in, "How are you doing today?" she asked politely hoping to make at least one friend.

                                              ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

The new girl had a wicked sense of humor, Riley noticed with a grin as he led her to the classroom. He let his fingers run nervously through his hair when he heard her sarcasm regarding the people of the school, "I completely agree." he stated in a soft whisper. Most of the people at the high school were dicks, they always treated him like trash and no one even bothered to help him when he was being bullied by Vaughn. Even the teachers didn't bother to step in when they saw it, they would either turn the other cheek to avoid it or act like they didn't see it. Riley preferred to be as far away from this place as possible, however he would be as good as dead if his absentee mother found out about him skipping his classes.

"My name is Riley, nice to meet ya!" The brunette chirped gingerly figuring that he would be able to give her a better introduction later. He thought it was cute how jumpy the redhead was after he tried to hand her schedule back, and when she was trying to ask him questions. At the moment, Riley was trying to maneuver through the hallways hoping that Vaughn wouldn't find them and start picking a fight with him again. He seems to be fond of the girl that Riley was trying to befriend, and he didn't seem like the type who liked to share. He was definitely going to have to watch his back from now on.

When they made it to the class, the redhead was quick to say goodbye to him and head for her seat. He wasn't sure why she was so quick to leave him, and figured that it must have been because she didn't want to be seen with the loser of the school. Although it was understandable, it still hurt his feelings when he thought that she didn't want to be around him. It was hard for Riley not to assume the worst of the situations he was put in, he wanted to remain vigilant and see what happens, but he was usually disappointed in the end. When he made it to his seat that was in the back of the room, he ripped out a piece of notebook paper to scribble on, 'hey ;) I never got your name btw' he folded up the piece of paper before handing it over to the ginger sitting next to him to pass it over to Clementine.

Although if she didn't want to be friend's with him, he would be okay with it. He still wanted to know her name at least, and she would either be one of his greatest friends or one of his greatest enemies. Who knows what could happen?

ooc; If you want you can skip through to lunch. :] Riley will probably be hanging around Clementine all day and Maryana will be giving Alfie the cold shoulder in any of their classes together.

Brushing his way past the teenagers waiting in line to get their food, Alfie broke the line in certain spots to plop the food he wanted on the tray and skipped to the front to pay. He never waited in line, like a good boy would. His feet automatically led him over to the table that he sat at, with the jocks and cheerleaders. Yeah, he was in with that crowd. He put his tray on the table before jumping over the back of the chair and sitting in it. He flashed a grin at one of the blondes, and the grin said the two had already slept together and that she was one of his targets once again. Not that she would mind. All the girls nudged the blonde with their shoulders and said oooo! They all laughed.

"Hey, bro," Vaughn spoke up, chewing on a cheeseburger as if he were an animal. He swallowed. "You goin' to the game tonight?" By game, he meant football, the first football game of the season. The curly-haired brunette thought about it for a second before hitting his friend on the back of the head and smirking. "You twit," he responded with a strong British accent. "I wouldn't miss my hubby getting all sweaty for nothing," he joked as Vaughn started massaging the place on his head that Alfie had slapped. "Ow, bro, you got a heavy hand." Everyone laughed again, except Alfie.

His eyes were following a redhead that he had never seen before. Wait, was she with the emo? He guessed it to be the new girl, and if it was, Vaughn's statement earlier was right; she is hot. And there was someone else with them. A blonde. "The Russian chick," he mumbled to himself, turning his attention back to his group before Vaughn noticed what he was looking at. He wasn't in the mood to see Riley get hurt anymore than usual at the moment. Instead, he carried on a conversation with one of the blonde girls about cheerleading and her boyfriend. She started to break down in tears, and he discovered that the two of them had just broken up. She caught him with another dude, or something like that. He wasn't really listening.

After whispering something that no one else could quite understand, he stood from the table and plopped a fry in his mouth. "Gotta go take a piss," he said, flashing a devilish grin at Vaughn, who caught his drift and started talking to someone else at the table. A moment later, the blonde from before was in his arms in the women's bathroom stall, but not too long after, she was ripped away by one of the teachers. He hit the side of the stall when they left. "s**t, it must be my lucky day," he thought sarcastically, his mind wondering back to Maryana.

It all started with her; it had to have been her fault. He wasn't sure, but he would settle it himself. He couldn't allow her to keep interrupting his times with the babes. He buckled his pants and left the stall. One or two girls screamed but smiled when they realized who it was. He pulled his shirt over his head and rejoined his group at the table, but the blonde was missing. Not that he cared.

"With you being new and all, it's great that you're already so far ahead of the class! Thank you for the wonderful news, Clementine," a teacher spoke gleefully.

A moment before, the redhead had handed in a note that she wrote in the middle of class, explaining that she had learned most of the material being taught already. She was home schooled up until three years ago, after all. During that time, she taught herself more than she ever needed to know. She had nothing better to do, anyway. At the time, she didn't have friends, and her dad was always busy. It hasn't changed much, she realized. They talked a bit more about how she felt being at a new school and living in a new neighborhood. She told her that it wasn't as delicious as a slice of cake, and the conversation died soon after, and Clementine dismissed herself.

Apparently, it was lunch time. Great. But how did she find her way to the lunch room? She started walking aimlessly down a few halls, as if she couldn't just go ask for help from the teacher she had just spoken to, or the principal in her office. She pushed open a door leading to the outside court. Her blue eyes wandered around in search of a familiar face from one of her periods. She spotted a couple but bit her lip at the thought of asking them. They would only judge her for not being able to do it herself. "Riley," she mumbled, giving up on the search just in time. Riley appeared behind her as if she had paged him. She laughed at herself, instantly feeling better.

"Hey, uhm," she started with a shrug. In the period they had last together, second, they passed notes and learned a bit about each other. Just the basic things, like names and what brought her here. She told him that it had to do with her father's business, which was the truth. Just not the entire truth. Her eyes fell for a brief second, but she forced herself to pipe back up. "Where's the lunchroom? I'm totally lost," she admitted, knowing Riley wouldn't mind showing her. In fact, he was probably headed there himself. The two started walking, and she was obviously standing just outside of it, only ten or fifteen feet away. She couldn't help but feel student and laugh at herself again. They got in line, and it was time to play the waiting game. Being that there were so many students, it would take forever to get food.

The girl from second period showed up not too long after, and she was greeted with open arms. "Hey there, beautiful," Clem spoke as if she had known Maryana all of her life. The truth was, she didn't really know her at all. Other than the fact that her name was Maryana and that was an exchange student from Russia, it was pretty blank. She was a definite beauty, though, so the nickname was from the heart. "You're already doing better than me." She laughed. "I couldn't even find the lunchroom on my own." The three of them laughed. She was lucky to have met Riley when she did, but she wished it would have been under better circumstances, that he wasn't bullied and picked on. He didn't deserve it; no one did.

Scrunching her nose at the meat that Riley had put on his tray, she, instead, grabbed a fruit cup, an icecream and a bottle of water. There was nothing else that really interested her. "Alright, so, where do you usually sit?" She asked Riley, knowing that he was the only one familiar with seats. She chewed on her lip as her eyes moved around from table-to-table. Everyone was indulged with their own conversations, not paying a bit of mind to anything else. At least that's what she knew was true, but she felt as if everyone's eyes were on her, picking her apart.

She hoped that Riley would choose to eat away from everyone else. Plus, she wanted to learn more about him and Maryana, and it would be hard to hear over everyone else.

The rest of the morning was easygoing for Maryana since she had help that was more reliable, and she made a lot of new friends. Two of them are Clementine and Riley who she shared some of the classes with, and of course there were those two classes that she shared with Alfie. One of them was over with while the second one was right after lunch; she already couldn’t stand the bad boy and his rude antics. Another thing that he did that really irked Maryana was when he flirted with all the sluts in the class, she thought it was really gross how they would just throw themselves at him without any second thoughts and act like it wasn’t any big deal later. Things were very different in Russian culture, most Russian woman were more respectful although they were all as charming and beautiful as could be. The blonde was still trying to figure Americans out, it was still hard for her to understand.

When she saw Alfie running into the girl’s bathroom with the same bimbo cheerleader he flirted with before, Maryana suspected that it was something shady going on. And from what she had learned was that the boys were not allowed to go into the girls bathrooms just like in Russia, and alerted one of the teachers as soon as she could. A few seconds later, she smiled at the sight of the whore being dragged out by the teacher and Alfie leaving the restroom looking as grumpy as could be. ‘Score one for me!’ she thought with a mischievous smile as she drank from the soda can that she has picked up in the food line.

”Man, I really do not like the person I’m being forced to stay with,” Maryana sighed grabbing the sweet strawberry and cream pastry she had put on her tray, ”He showed me all the vrong classes and vhen I asked him for help he said that he had better things to do. Vho does that?” she questioned taking a bite of the sweet pastry. She was happy that she found at least someone to rant to before she had to go back to being under the same roof as the a*****e.

Out of nowhere, two jocks who spoke with her briefly before took seats on both sides of the blonde, ”Hey you’re the foreign exchange student, right?” one of them asked her and the other one jumped in too, ”hey can you say something again in Russian? We love hearing you speak.” they told her with a friendly smile.

This has been happening to her all day, of course it still startled her when she was randomly approached like this, but she didn’t mind. Maryana gave the boys a shy smile before using one of her hands to scratch the back of her head, ”Здравствуйте, меня зовут Марьяна.Зарубежную студент по обмену.” she spoke starting with the basics of her name and status.

                                              - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Riley couldn’t help to laugh at Maryana’s embarrassment when two random guys walked over to her, and asked her to speak. That is what happens when you’re a good-looking new student, and he was sure that the same thing was going on with Clementine as well. He honestly felt like chopped liver when he was with them, then again, he was mostly ignored by the entire school with the exception of few. Riley has grown used to it over the years, it wasn’t anything new for them.

”Wow, maybe I shouldn't be seen sitting with you lovely girls,” he whispered to Clementine with an easy going grin. Of course he was only joking, he didn’t mind all the weird attention that the others were giving his new friends. While it could get very annoying when he was trying to have a conversation with either one of them, he could be patient and wait for them to finish up. Running the fingers through his hair, his dark blue eyes averted over to Vaughn for a few seconds to see if he had noticed them. Luckily he hadn’t, he was sitting with the guy that he assumed that Maryana was complaining about. She mentioned the name Alfie a few times, and that was the only Alfie that Riley knew of. It made sense considering that he wasn’t exactly the nicest person in the world, unlike the sweet girls that was currently surrounding him.

When the bell began chiming, Riley released a sad sigh as he pushed his empty paper try in the trash next to him. The jocks finally left the table and Maryana looked as though she could breath again, ”Time for class,” he said with an adorable pouty frown that plastered over his lips, ”Do you guys need help finding any of your classes?” he asked politely. If his memory was correct, his next class would be with Clementine, although he wasn’t too sure about the blonde who was sitting across from them.

Maryana flashed both of them a sweet smile as she picked up her bag, ”I’m fine,” she told both of her friends as she stood up to her feet, ”all I have to do is follow the douche bag I’m staying vith to my next class.” with that, she walked off to her next room hoping that it wouldn’t be the wrong one. Again.

With a shake of his head, Riley slung his bag over his shoulder as he held his hand out to Clementine to help her up, ”Ready for the most boring class you’ll ever have?” his words were extremely negative, although his tone sounded extremely happy matching the wide smile that was on his face. The teacher was very old and boring teaching a class about theatre, Riley could never bring himself to stay awake during any of her classes.

ooc; It's fine, don't worry about it. ^^ And ohhh okay. That's awesome, he's a very cute brit so Maryana would probably enjoy hearing him talk.
