XXXXXX[X] is an angel. And, as an angel, she's expected to be a goody-two-shoes, the nice guy, the sweetheart. All angels are. It's just life. Or is it? [X] is getting really sick of all of this. She's different. Rebellious. She hates Heaven. It's just gross for her. So, finally, [X] just .. left. Walked right out of the Gates and left. She went down to earth and started to mingle with humans, concealing her powers in a small jewelry box. On the Hell side, things are running parallel. [Y] is not the average demon. He hates having to hurt people. It's just not who he is. It sickens him every time one of his friends boasts about torturing an innocent soul. So like [Y], he left. Just left. Hid his powers in a small locket that he always keeps close.
But both of them just wanted a way out, right? What if they met? They're both underage, so they've been both put in foster homes. What if.. they were put in the same one? Would it be luck? Or something else?

I don't care what you do over PM's, that's none of my business but I don't want to see it here, alright? So pretty much follow the rules that Gaia has put up in the ToS. I don't want other people to come and report you or me.

~L i t e r a c y
I'm fine as long as I understand what you're trying to say. What I want is you to take a little bit of time doing your post, put some thought into it. I hate one liners! I don't want that here. A good paragraph or two is fine ... of course I won't object to some more writing. Oh and please remember to put periods, thank you. =)

~S w e a r i n g
Sometimes we let something slip past our lips and that's fine. Gaia blocks it out anyway unless you change your settings. Now, the only reason this is up is because I don't want your character to be swearing five times in one sentence. Got it? Alright...moving on.

~P r o f i l e s
I personally hate doing profiles in general but whatever. For the biography a paragraph is fine, I don't like writing more than that, so I won't force you to. When you're done with the profile send it to be in a PM with Hearts as the title.

~P o s t s A n d C r e a t i v i t y
So I except you to have a little bit more than just words for your post. Add a small picture...or add color, just something that isn't just black words and that's it. If you don't want to do something or you have some other reason, I'll make you something if you want, just tell me what you want. Of course I could charge you for that... but I don't think I'm going to.

~L a s t R u l e s
No godmoding. Please post at least once a week and if you want to quit tell me. It won't hurt my feelings or anything, I promise. Warn me if you can't post for more than two weeks, alright? Follow the guild rules and have fun! I don't want this to be a boring roleplay. I keep forgetting to put up certain rules but I think this is the last one, violence is allowed just no raping people and you can mix action into this as well. Plain romance can be boring at times.

Rose looked at the new house that she was going to be staying in. Foster care.. she wasn't sure how she felt about that. Before she had never had to think about such things but now, well.. now she was in the human world and so far she wasn't regretting it one bit. They had so much more freedom but they took it for granted unless they were going through some kind of horrifying disaster, for example war.

Shaking her head, she pushed those thoughts away as she moved forward, following the woman that had brought her here in the first place. She was told that there was another foster child here, a boy for that matter. That should be interesting. She didn't care too much for mingling but maybe he would give her some hints as to how to act so she didn't look like she was a complete outsider, alien. Fixing her black jacket, her white t-shirt showed a little bit at her neck which happened to have a skull in the center of it if she took off the jacket or unzipped it, she then went in through the door, taking in the sweet scent of.. cookies? She raised an eyebrow. Why were they baking cookies? Before she knew it she was surrounded by a couple, probably a married couple that were in their thirties. They were smiling at her and greeting her and she just lowered her head after forcing a small smile and waving. Personally she didn't plan on spending a whole lot of time in this house. It was merely a place for her to stay and acquire food.

"Go ahead and take your things upstairs." the woman said lovingly. "We'll be having dinner in a moment so make yourself comfortable in your room and I'll come and get you once it's ready." they had already mentioned their names, telling her it was fine if she didn't want to call them by the traditional names, like father, or mom.

Looking up at the stairs, she was then told that her room was on the third story and the first door to the right. They definitely had a big house but she liked it as well. Having her room all the way up there would help, she wouldn't have to worry about people walking around up there all the time. Walking up the stairs with her suitcase, she then heard the man, Eric, whisper to the woman, mentioning that Rose's eyes were strange. They were red after all but the woman, Clair, simply dismissed it before going back to the living room along with the woman that had brought Rose here to begin with.

Turning her attention back to the stairs, she slowly climbed up them, taking everything in. They had pictures and paintings on the wall.. the only thing that put her on edge was the fact that she hadn't seen the boy yet. Were they going to share a room? She didn't know how she felt about that.

It had been awhile since Joey had left those burning gates. Almost two weeks, but it seemed a lifetime. Time passed so much slower on Earth than it did in Hell. In Hell, it had only been a snap between his fifth birthday and his seventeenth, the day he had left. He’d had enough, and this was what he’d gotten in return. A new start, a new home, a new life. He loved it here. And it wasn’t like he had fully given up his true identity, either. He had hidden his powers - which included his wings - in a small locket he’d found. It reminded him of his mother, a demon who had passed away. But you thought demons were eternal? Ha, far from correct. They simply left time and space and their existence disappeared.. the same for angels. For humans, they went into either Hell or Heaven. Joey never understood what made them so much more powerful that they could continue living even after they had reached what they knew as death.
So, back to the story. It had been two weeks since the young demon had bravely strolled out of the gates of Hell and landed in a small town. Growing up, his father had often been assigned to tracking down evil souls, and sometimes he’d bring his son along. He’d been more educated about humans, about their lifestyle. His father had thought it would make him a better soul-stealer, when his time came. But no, it only made Joey long to be out there, long for freedom. There were so many humans... It was such a big world down there. He longed to see everything there was to see, learn all there was to learn. It was a bit of his own sweet and kind nature that made him an outcast among demons. And so, one night, he’d left. He’d had absolutely enough.
And here Joey was. In a foster home, with two loving foster parents, in a foster world... So many foster things! And he was soon to have a foster sister. She was arriving today. Right now, he was in his room. It was a large room, half of it unused. The half he was given was painted a bright green, where he had started to tape pictures of a magazine he was given as a welcoming present. There were many large posters in it. It was a photography magazine, so it was mostly wildlife and scenery, but Joey loved it. He was glad to see his foster parents approving of the taping, he’d seen it in some homes of children when he was down with his father. He was getting allowance, too! This was really cool. Too much to take in...
Was that his new sister? He was excited to meet her, they were going to share a room, or so he heard. Joey stood up, ready to go and meet her, but he paused. Wouldn’t be a bit awkward? Sharing a room with a girl? Almost all the demons in Hell were male, so they didn’t really have that problem, except for the occasional female, like his mum. There was about four or five kids in the huge house, some being girls, couldn’t she share with them? Those rooms were full, they’d said. Oh, well, it was worth a shot. And it made him seem a bit more normal, expression concern.
Joey did a small scan of the room. On one side, pink wall, white bed, empty closet. On the other side, green wall with posters stuck on it, black bed, closet half-filled with starting things he’d gotten from child protection services when he’d first showed up claiming to have amnesia. Those things included several pairs of jeans, green tee shirts (they seemed to like that color here), a pair of white sneakers, and a black baseball cap that read in white: I <3 NY. He looked at what he himself looked like: blond hair, light eyes, a bit short. Camo pants and shirt of same color, bare feet. Everyone seemed to go around barefoot in the house, Eric and Claire hated mud. There was a huge cluster of shoes by the door.
The seventeen-year-old boy stepped into the hallway. He waited patiently, anxious for a person he didn’t even know. A big family was new to him, he was quite excited! All the other kids seemed to ignore him or not really care. He hoped he could become good friends with the new girl, since they were going to share a room and all.

Things had been crazy before she had gotten hit by a car, for some reason she had forgotten that she was human and it wouldn't simply go through her like it had when she was an angel, so it had hit her. Since she hadn't talked, they found out on their own that she didn't have any parents, or any family at all for that matter that wanted her. They had put her into foster care after she had gotten better. Pain, it was a new feeling. She had never really experienced it but she loved the adrenaline rush that she had gotten. It was kind of her new addiction now and she wanted to try a lot of things.. especially trying to find a motorcycle or even running from police. All these ideas were ones she had gotten from some TV show that she had watched when she had been in the hospital.

Almost tripping on the stairs since a little kid rushed ahead of her, she almost swore at him, something she could do freely now and she loved it, but instead she just shut her mouth and continued. For now she would try to separate herself from this.. family. She wanted to observe before she decided it was worth actually joining. Walking up another flight of stairs, she then reached the door. Great.. It was the only door up hear and she was glad none of the smaller kids went up here, it seemed like they avoided the place. Why? She wasn't sure. Opening the door, she expected no one to be in there but she was surprised to see a boy sitting on a bed. Standing there dumb-struck for a moment, she then shook her head and noticed the pink wall. Rose wasn't exactly fond of pink so she planned on covering that wall up with pictures. Non of them would be religious, she realized that some people decided to not believe in the truth, they hadn't seen it after all.

"Hi." she said with a small wave of her hand since that's what she knew to be how people greeted each other here. Biting her lower lip, she brushed a strand of her black hair away from her face, her eyes briefly looking down at her feet that were in black socks. She was wearing a pair of dark blue jeans. Closing the door once she was inside, she then walked over to what she guessed was to be her bed. After living in a world that was extremely light, she preferred darker colors like black, purple, red, and blue. Pink was definitely never going to be on that list.

Now that she knew she would be sharing a room, she wasn't quite sure how well she would be at hiding her secret. Taking in a deep breath, she glanced at the window that was on the very back wall from the door. It was a round window and sunlight poured in through it. Glancing over at the boy again, she couldn't help but be curious about him. He was about the same age as her from what she could tell which was good. She would be able to hopefully communicate with him better than with the kids that were running around on the second floor. "Sorry.. I'm not really good with introductions.." she told him, hoping he didn't find her red eyes strange. They had been silver before.. but once she had left Heaven and hidden her powers, they had become red.

Placing her suitcase in her lap, she looked around the room, noticing the pictures. She happened to love natures so in turn, she liked the pictures. Her eyes then turned towards the closet, half of it was already filled with things so she guessed the other half was for her..

Joey continued to stare around the room. Wait - why? Oh, yes, he was making sure that everything was in order for when the girl came. Right. He turned around just as a young woman with a small suitcase came in. The boy was speechless for a second then quickly regained himself. "Hi... Sorry, I was told you were going to be a lot younger... Eric and Clair like taking in younger kids..." He scratched behind his ear nervously. "Heh, not that there's any problem, but you probably won't like pink, that's for little girls... I just painted that this morning, ya know..." Darn, darn, darn! This was not going well. He stood up and extended his hand towards her with a smile. "So what's your favorite color, and we can get started redoing your half of the room? I'm Joey, by the way."
In truth, he didn't guess she disliked pink. He just knew. He hoped the locket wasn't broken and his powers were seeping out, because then he'd turn into a demon and the girl would be freaked out of her mind. That wouldn't be good. She'd scream, and either Eric or Clair would come running... He'd have to erase all of their memories, and he'd hate doing that. Then he'd probably run off to some other town.
No, the demon in the locket wasn't seeping out. Joey sat back down on his bed and gestured to hers. "Hey, do you maybe wanna put up some kinda wall - or just change in the bathroom...?" AHHH! That was SO not normal! Now he was really going to get weird looks. Seemed like he couldn't fit in with humans or demons, just his luck. "I mean, um... s**t, sorry, I talk too much," he added quickly, trying to make an excuse for himself so she wouldn't get suspicious. But at least, from what he'd heard, humans didn't really think angels or demons existed, that they were the stuff of fairy tales. He hoped this girl was no different.
By the way, he started to examine her. Was about the same height, though she looked a year younger than him. He was short, after all. She had black hair and.. red eyes. He paused, but chose not to comment. Maybe they had red-eyed humans, too. Maybe they were just not that common, like red hair.

Younger kids.. she found them annoying when they paid attention to her.. and then they would come up with stories for an explanation for her red eyes. One of them had called her demon. Oh, she was far from it, very far but of course she just brushed it off and told him to go play with his toys instead of bothering her. Kids were smart.. smarter than most people thought. Returning her gaze to the boy, she realized that he talked a lot. That was good, she wouldn't have to speak too much to keep up a good conversation, or at least not in the very beginning. She smiled a bit when he said that they could redo the wall, she would definitely like that. It was nice of him to paint it for her, she was glad that her roommate wouldn't be mean and so far he hadn't mentioned her eyes, which was good.

Favorite color? She looked at his wall for a moment and then at hers. Red would.. not be too good, purple would look kind of weird with green but she did like the idea of painting it dark blue. "Dark blue would be a good color." she told him. She had almost missed his name. Joey. Well she was definitely keep that name in her mind. "I'm Rose... just call me Amber though." then he started talking about a wall and she was about to say it didn't matter when she realized that humans had a thing about privacy and stuff. Yeah, the bathroom would probably be best since she didn't know how they could build a wall.. or maybe they could put a book self up between their beds for a little bit of privacy when they slept or something. "I can change in the bathroom.. but we can put something between the beds if you want." she didn't know if she was doing any of this right, she hadn't spent too much time with humans before, so the first couple of days that she had been here she had made plenty of discoveries.

"It's okay." she smiled a little bit. Her eyes scanned the room for a dresser though she didn't find one. That's when she realized that the black bed wasn't hers.. it was his and there was also another empty closet where she could put her things. "Mind if I unpack my stuff?" she asked him, carefully getting up and walking over to the wall, gently sliding one of the closet doors open with her suitcase in hand. She looked over her shoulder at him, observing him for some kind of reaction.. at least that was until she heard a knock on the door right before it opened. It had made her jump slightly and it took her a second to realize that it was Claire.

"Dinner's ready you two. Wash your hands and meet us down stairs in the dining room." she told them with that dainty little smile on her face. It seemed like they really wanted everything to be clean. Glancing over at Joey, she guessed that he knew where they could wash their hands, she didn't really know where anything was, they hadn't given her a tour.

"Soo... where do we go?" she asked him, she stuck her suitcase in the closet before closing it. She had more than a few extremely important things in there.. including her powers.
