INTRODUCTION
10 years ago, Gaia introduced its first Astra item with the
Spectacular Golden Halo, leading to RIGs featuring animated items with everything from animal ears and tails to backwings to even Astras that changed your avatar's shading. Sadly, this would be discontinued in 2019, with ending of Flash support in 2020. This ties into my research with the Lost Items of Gaia, as several Astras have a totally different pose when animated. This thread will serve as a gallery of their animated poses, that way, despite being unavailable for wearing, they won't be totally lost.
While it would require adding an extra burden to the artist's already-heavy workload, my hope is that artists will be able to eventually recreate the astras in gif form, as that's the current format that the still-functioning LK companions are running on. While this solution won't help with items like Gray Wizard or Inversion, this would serve to save nearly every single one of the current Astras.
Note: While it is inconvenient at the moment, I will be keeping all unfound/unsaved astras as text links, rather than item icons. This is to make it easier for me to find where astras are in the thread. Once an astra has been archived, I will replace its name with the icon.
Additionally, what we have right now is the bare-bones version of this thread- small upgrades, like changing formatting, adding images, or adjusting the readmores will take place.
Finally, due to how most of the modern flash sites work, many of the astras are either sped up, or are glitched to where rather than a smooth animation, it shows all of the frames in one go. If a gif linked is slightly fast or the animation looks messy, this is due to the astra itself being broken, and is not a recording problem.
UPDATE: All astra items have been archived in their raw .swf forms- as such, I am putting the task of recording them in .gif format on the backburner, and continuing to focus on both work and school. Thank you all for your contributions, and for being so patient!
