Important Information:
- right now, there is a glitch that is preventing users from getting a 9th giftbox.
in other words, you can only get one set. i would suggest using a mule to obtain a second set.
apparently, the glitch has been fixed x3 <333
note: the "9th" giftbox is just the first giftbox of your second set

okay, since everyone keeps asking:
this thread will tell you how to get the rebellion mask and alien antenna horns.
they are not technically part of the christmas event, but were from a few weeks earlier

How to Carol

Caroling in Shops:

how to get to shops-
click world>>shops

to carol in a shop, simply visit that shop
you should see this message:


you must carol at 10 shops
upon visiting your 11th shop you should receive your gift:


there is a 3 minute wait between carols

Caroling in Towns:

how to get to towns-
click world>>towns

reference:


to carol in towns, visit a house and click on the stand in front of it (boxed in red in reference)
you should see music notes float above your head, and a thought bubble containing holly berries will pop up

as you carol, your cheer meter will fill up (also boxed in red).
when the cheer meter is filled all of the way, click the present to the right of the cheer meter
the present will be sent to your inventory


-note: after you complete your first set of giftboxes, you will receive them in random order will most likely receive doubles. this makes getting a second set more difficult than the first

How to Give Gifts

to obtain a present that you can give to another gaian visit the event page

reference:


you can choose to either support santa or the zurg
to pick up a gift click "pick up gift" located under cow santa and zurg santa (boxed in red)

you should get one of two messages based on which you clicked:

or

click "yes" to obtain a gift

now, click the link to visit the event forum (located between the two santas)
there are two subforums: Santa's Cow Field and Zurg Holly-Deck
users may be more inclined to give the type of gift based on the type of subforum, but it is not guaranteed
enter any thread in the main or subforums
click this button located below any avatar:


there is a wait time of 240 seconds between each gift you can obtain
you receive a gift every 5 times that you give a gift

beneath the main event page, you can also view how many gifts of each type you have given
you can also view how many in total of each gift have been given
