HayleyKat: Ramius is right. The linebreaks are pointless. The way the image right tag works is the image is pushed hard against the side of the posting area. No matter how wide the page gets, it will always be all the way on the left. You don't need something to push it over.

I'm using a mac too, but I don't have this problem.
Check whether you have these:
1. Latest version of Firefox 3.5.5 for Mac
2. Latest version of BG 0.2.2.12 accessed via clicking on "Add to Firefox" from 1st post.

If not, try re-installing BG?

I know-but thats not why the linebreaks are there-they are there to further format the text. I think the problem is just that they are too long-i'm going to install BG on my school computer to test this.

I've noticed this. It doesn't bother me, but I was wondering if it happened to anyone else.
I'm also on a Mac (10.6), and both Firefox and BG are up to date.

@Lady Eaving: Let's try a technical way to change it. Go to this page: about:config. Then after passing the info screen, type in to the filter: "extensions.bettergaia.backgroundImage". Double-click and paste in the URL to the image.

@ Oo Leo oO: Could you update to the latest version? Link's in the first post.

Okay-my post format now works,it was the length of the breaklines.
at least in the main fourms it works, guilds is a different story. oh well (:

I absolutely love this idea! Though, before I go ahead and click the magical link, I do have a question.
I have an addon called, "gaianavigation." It's meant to hide that blue bar and make it back to the original purple bar with the same drop down menus and all. Should I disable or uninstall this addon before I get this one?

Probably disable. Better Gaia does the exact same thing, and having two things trying to do the same thing might cause glitching with the conflict. however, unless your worried about space there is no need to uninstall it.

I use Better Gaia to make it the old purple XD

Indeed! Though, I use tektek toolbar for my auto formats. But this is awesome for the look of Gaia. Quite neat! I'm totally going to place a link to here on my profile. I think I'm out of room in my sig.

there are only a couple of things that bug me.

when i hit reply, sometimes i forget the name of one of the people i am responding to. so i scroll down and copy it from the "past posts"... except if their name is too long, it gets cut off and i feel like an idiot cuz i only posted half their name.

this one i can live with but i thought i would mention it. before i got better gaia, the posts weren't limited to so many pixels wide, making me "stare at dead space". the posts would stretch to fit the page. now they are limited to "x pixels wide". it has taken a bit, but i have slowly adapted to not having the full screen to read a post. (tho i wouldn't mind having that feature back)
