Literally just work on fixing the Games and virtual world areas TT__TT
Visuals wise, I think Gaia should remain the way it is. Not modernized. I like the 2000s web look with the gradients and all. If this were to change, Gaia would lose its identity as a time capsule to the days of HTML4, and days before social media.
People return to Gaia after years because of this nostalgia and melancholy. Before any new or different content gets implemented, the devs should focus on making the games playable again.

However, I do think that something like a live chat window would also improve the social aspect of Gaia. The Forums should stay the way they are, but they can be intimidating to shy people. Chats come with difficulties of their own (moderators needed, filters needed) but there's many pros too. :}

To be honest, Im a bit tired of this expectation of new features.

The site has always, and to this day still has what I signed up for. Dress up dollies and forums. A platform upon which I can create.

That's all I ever really wanted from this site, it's what set it apart from other sites, it's what still sets it apart from current social media sites. I don't need it to be everything to everyone. I don't expect it to have fifty different features. Despite its uniqueness, it is like any other social media site - in fact it predates all of them! It ultimately is simply a platform upon which users can create content.

I'd like it if we took this into our own hands a bit and went back to when we created our own entertainment on here!

Would be awesome if they focused more on zOMG and Towns and maybe even combining the two. With the technology we have, it would be awesome to be able to play a proper gaian mmorpg and see the 2d items we love come to life. The past zOMg made the characters feel very stagnant but if they can make the movement more fluid and the game more either 2d or 2.5d in today's standards that would be amazing.

Did everyone forget about the Gaia workshop? Weren’t there supposed to be a bunch of site improvements that were supposed to be rolled out?

I’d personally like to see more of the old flash games getting an overhaul, and more games to play with tokens for tickets at Gold Mountain (as well as a refresh / addition of items being sold at P+J for game tickets).

Gaia forgets every project after a few months. It's been a horrible habit for years that apparently refuses to die.

1. I wish they would be able to fix the games, or at least make new versions of them. Currently there are several shops that are just wastes of space because the game or feature for them is dead (the aquarium, the casino, etc)

2. I really want to see more events and just stuff that helps connect with the site in general, since I think that would really help with getting people to join or keep coming back to the site. I remember back when they would send out story updates for evolving items or the gacha items and it felt really cool to see, even if you weren't going to be buying it. But both times I've recently come back from hiatus, I haven't seen any of these, and it just felt kind of vacant. I recently tried searching for 2k22 items to see what the holiday prizes looked like last year and didn't find anything...I really hope this was just a fluke and that they haven't gotten rid of the holiday event freebies. gonk

3. I wish they would do updates for the gold/plat shops more! I know they aren't a priority since they don't make much money, but I think it's good to have plenty of options for new players. I miss seeing the new items in them (especially for Cross Stitch which is completely dead now...)

4. I think making home/room decorating a big feature for the site would be very beneficial. Currently there's a huge market for "cozy games" like Animal Crossing or Stardew Valley, and decorating your home is a large appeal. I wish we had a cute, fun decorating gimmick like Line Play does tbh.
