I'm puzzled at why there's an item that's related to capturing Zurgs. It's not like Gaians should have any superiority over other alien races, and the Zurgs were the one whose high technology allowed them to kidnap people or animals.

I'm puzzled at why there's an item that's related to capturing Zurgs. It's not like Gaians should have any superiority over other alien races, and the Zurgs were the one whose high technology allowed them to kidnap people or animals.

If that's really the only thing you're puzzled about then maybe looking at the item as a whole may help.
I don't think it's supposed to make much sense.
First of all, it's called "to the moon".
If we are to assume that the astronaut is indeed a Gaian and Gaia is based off of Earth then the Zurg homeworld is nowhere near either, as I think it was near pisces?
Second, the astronaut is sitting on the rocket. It is way too small and doesn't make any sense at all.
(Then again maybe it's a giant and the supposed infant Zurg is in reality a normal sized Zurg.)

The whole item doesn't make much sense.
