When I was reading the manga I noticed that Ian, Ruby, and Peyo celebrated Xmas together.

I'm not sure if at that point in time it was because Ian and Ruby were dating or if it was because Ruby and Peyo invited Ian to their house for Xmas because he was alone. Either way I'd count Ian and Ruby as close friends and Peyo kind of sees him as the Big Brothers type who hangs out with him and is a positive male role model in his life. Poor kid needs that in his life.

I think Peyo is doing fine. I think tomorrow it will probably be something to do with Logan. He seems to be the only father left in Gaia, NPC wise. I know they did the search for Peyo's father and all that managed to bring was a duck.

Am I the only one that thinks Edmund is more then the moral he claims to be? He had done many a great things and seems to know a lot more then he is letting on. Was I the only one that thought it was suspicious that Gaia made a special mention to tell Edmund hi like they had meet before? Could Johnny have told his good friend about his titan blood and more?

You're not the only one. I think there's something more to Edmund than we're being told. For one thing he proved vampires are actually vulnerable and can be scared for life. Someone that can harm a vampire has to either have some kind of massive power or been given some kind of mystical artifact from the gods. Why else would he pat his sword when Sen doubted his abilities.

Harming vampires isn't hard, though. Then again, I'm not sure how Gaian vampires function exactly compared to the canon. KILLING them is always the hard part. s**t, Zhivago showed clear pain when Johnny snapped his elbow in two!

Still, that does seem suspicious. Did Johnny tell Edmund ANYTHING about his lineage? Was Edmund told by Gaia herself at an earlier point in time? In The Fall, when Edmund dismissed Johnny's (rightful) suspicions of everything happening, his comment is "After all we've been through!!" Now yes, Edmund and Johnny seem to be long-time old friends, but in this context the two might have been in much more than they'd like to let on. A titan and a vampire-slayer having adventures? Hot dog, I'll take ten! But for serious, it does at least hint that Johnny and Edmund are close enough that they know each other's secrets, and Gaia at the very least trusts Edmund enough to let him live with this sort of knowledge, at least, going by the context of "Titans are rare as s**t".

And from the end of that same comic, I'm guessing that hand is from Gaia herself. Most likely, she wants to deliver the letter to Gino and just drop the ugly truth right on his lap. And it also means she's not beyond interfering in affairs that aren't quite hers.

The way Zhivago went on about the fact that Edmund had given him a massive scar and then they showed his chest with the fresh gashes after the fight with Meili it seems like in the Gaia world someone or something at the very least on the same level as a god can damage a Gaian vampire. Think about it. Even if Edmund isn't some kind of divine being like Johnny he at least has a weapon forged by the gods. Why else would he make certain to touch his rapier when Sen questioned whether or not he could hold his own in the coming battle. He was assuring her of two things, he's very good with a sword and that sword is no ordinary weapon.

I do think the whole "After all we've been through" part is more in reference to things like the Grunnies, the sniper, the tower, and the battle to get Rosalie from the vampires than to their youth it seems. Edmund's pretty much saying that if Grunnies, snipers, towers falling, and vampire attacks couldn't kill Johnny then what makes him think this time would be different. Yes, Edmund knew there was something special about Johnny and he thought this time he would make it through whatever had the man wigged out. He didn't once think there was some kind of device or person out there who could bring down someone like Johnny for good.

I do think if Edmund isn't non human he was chosen by Gaia to watch over the Gambinos and given that sword. It's more than just a promise to an old friend that he's fulfilling here but also a duty to Gaia to keep the last of the Titans safe. Edmund has a lot riding on this because the entire island is going to need Gino alive to run the business empire on there. It's more than just running a casino it seems now. Gino's inherited a governmental position as well.

I'm going to say this right here right now. This thread will not be a place to complain about the HQ, whatever gold gens are out, the state of the GCD, or certain individuals. If you want to complain about the HQ find an already ongoing thread for that. Want to complain about the latest gold gen then there's likely to be a thread for that too. Want to complain about the GCD? If you're in the guild that's what that Chatterbox thread is for. Need to vent about certain individuals? If you can do it without naming names you can do it in the guild Chatterbox thread.

The thing is, I don't want to have the good name of the Alliance sullied and marred by being seen as a group if anti-Gaia complainers. We're not going to be all rose colored glasses and naïveté either. I want this to be thread where that doesn't factor in. We're here for the plot. We're here for Gaia. And we're here for Edmund GOSH. We don't want the thread taken from us if we fall into the trap of getting too personal about the staff at HQ. We'll lose our chance at possibly becoming canon if we screw up in this thread and use the guild for HQ bashing. You don't have to like what comes from HQ but don't bash them and don't climb onto the bandwagon. You represent this thread and the guild by being in here and in the guild. To be a part of the Alliance means you're willing to look for sane and peaceful solutions to situations that benefit both sides involved first and foremost.
