I see Gino's determined face there at the page end and hope with every fiber of my being for the return of The Masque. Come on, Gino! He took on Jack, the one who took away Sentinel's and Overseer's power
in the first place. I suppose you could speculate that it was his father inside his body, manipulating him to act more courageously, but still.
My theory is that Gino did a Samson. He cut his hair and became a wimp.
Very good theory, but Gino was already a wimp before he cut his hair ! He was the Masque only when he was mixed with his father !
At last someone who talks sense.
But, on the other hand, not all that could be only his father, right?
So, Gino might actually have at least one third of that power inside himself .....
As for taking on Jack, that others have mentioned:
I think like this:
Jacks greatest power, may actually be to make nightmares come true .....
That would both make Jack able to remove the powers of Sen & Seer, and at the same time make it possible for the virtually fearless Masque to go toe-to-toe with Jack.
