that's it! he keeps reminding me of a cat or a racoon, and a red panda is the perfect medium of those two animals. if only we had a color image of him, it would be easier to determine.

Well... Nicu clearly wants to get to Gino first. I wonder what he means to do. Even if he wanted to kill Gino right now, he wouldn't get past Meili.

warn him? I mean think about it if you was like nicu and you knew someone was gonna kill a rich kid wouldn't you inform the rich kid and then say later on "Hey I saved your life- i can has monies?"

I was kinda thinking that. A rich kid, who, if he just returns home, will become the richest man on all of Gaia(if his father's bragging was completely true). A big fat reward may be in order. Or.... conning his way into BFFs and making off with the whole Gambino fortune.

I like this one.

It's much better than my original theory which had Nico 'attempting' to kill Gino and getting payment from the Kuro's all by himself.

Plus this one ties in with Nico's comments at the beginning of the manga - thinking they wanted to get Gino home. I can see him getting Gino there and getting a nice reward for it.

But what I don't get is why someone seemingly as nice and polite as Meili is in such a roughneck city like Dref Dur, in the first place. He's tipping his hat and breaking up gang fights, and making sure no one in Dref Dur knows that rich boy Gino is amongst them...he should be chillin' off in a meadow somewhere, picking daffodils and talking to bluebirds.
