Well first I was congratulating you for being able to buy the rainbow ticket biggrin
Second I am assuming that you are an expert when it comes to buying and selling items on either the market or the exchange whee
So I was wondering if you could teach me how to be a successful exchanger 4laugh

I didn't buy the ticket actually a really really good friend gave it to me n.n <3

I wouldn't really say I am an expert to be honest I just know a bit and give advice when asked sometimes.

And I don't think I could to be honest. I dont mind helping you if you have questions but I don't have time to teach someone right now with school starting sad

Based on the distance between the letters of the name, the length of the name compared to yours, the uppercase first letter and the lowercase n in the end did make me think that you purchased the ticket.

Would you care to mention what the name of this friend is, who "gave" you the ticket as a gift? Or if you could get the person to comment here?

I am a just curious as to what his/her name is? Would it match the length of the name in the picture?

I am just asking this because I am very curious. So don't take it personal or as an attack in any way.

This has been one of the greatest Gaian conspirancy threads unrelated to the plot that I have seen in years.

Kudos to Edward Snowden (obviously a mule account), Menstrual Cramps and the OP of the thread.

I have a silly satisfaction-driven smile on my face tonight, thanks to you.

The person who purchased the ticket was "LicorSkein"
here's a link with more info, even though it was discussed earlier in the thread

Interesting topic. Anyway whether a staff member uses a mule or not, they are free to vend on it. But yes showing that there is 133 trillion gold circulating through the marketplace and the increase gold cap shows how damaging the effects of gold generating is. Whether the gold was acquired through vending or purchasing with cash or buying gold generators, that much gold was generated by the legal product that Gaia sells. From befriending a few staff members and talking to a few mods and FAs, Gaia does not give them gold. Any gold they earn, they acquire themselves. Any further information about inflation can be learned from this cute little comic here: Coco and Kiki explain inflation

Gold is easier to acquire now that previous years. Like talking to a new Gaian who idk was a mule or not, but they bought an item within a month that would have taken me years to quest for thanks to purchasing gold generators. So I'm tired of vendors being the scape-goat of high prices when it is the increase of gold input in the marketplace that is increasing it.

Anyway notice the yearly graph of when gold generators were put into the cash shop in September/October:

It is more than it has ever been in any other years. I guess my conclusion to all of this I don't expect Gaia to fix inflation since it's making them lots of money. But I'm sadden that the community cares more about items and gold than keeping the main features of the site like the manga going. What's the point of having pixels if there is no longer a site left to enjoy them on? Gaiaonline is really boring compared to previous years due to lack of fun events, less story line, less staff interaction, and focus on everything to only to make money no matter how dull it is. Gaia has the tendency of doing everything to death in their cash shops until it gets boring. I'm happy for what I have with my avi and I don't care if I haven't been able to use the marketplace since August 2013. I bored with missing chat features like Vivox and Meebo I used to enjoy, having games updated, forums updated, guilds updated, rallies, fishing, aquariums updated, and just seeing the staff having fun and being silly playing baseball and rubber duck races. I'm glad the staff I befriended don't work for Gaia Interactive anymore. The company and site has lost all its joy and isn't interactive anymore. Sorry to vent but I'm just disappointed with the site now. It had so much potential to be as big and community oriented and creative as the Sims franchise, but I don't see it anymore.

Yeah my saying that staff don't generate gold out of nowhere is false now. I'm kind of sickened it was confirmed a staff mule was used in the purchase now. At least the transaction will be reversed, but still doesn't leave a good feeling in the community now. But ty Nikko. emotion_hug

Fuzzy Bear

even if it was legit gold its still fishy for someone to drop that much on a ticket worth significantly less than a platinum.

i have no faith in gaia devs or admin to control their economy.

Magical Pal

I love how the price was 133,333,333,333,337
and when it's shortened (133t) it still says leet. cat_xd

Oh man, that Edward Snowden post just killed me with how right it turned out to be. The fact that it was Edward Snowden was magnificent. Too bad this is a dark spot on gaia, or i'd want to see this in the memorable thread forum.

On topic though....This is absolutely crazy. I admit that I haven't been up to date on gaia for a while now, but to come back and read up on all of this is insane. Yeah....I think my little paw panda mage may just be the last avi I ever make. Though i'm glad they EVENTUALLY came out and explained things, I don't feel like I can trust the pixels on this site anymore.

I don't get why this is a topic. The admin lead said they investigated it, they said it was legit, and the user bought what they wanted and the item that was bought is one that only 2 are known in public existence.

Because the official cover story and the actual events that transpired differ greatly.
This thread, and this thread may help further elaborate on why it is such an issue.
It brings many of the issues plaguing the community to the forefront, like a lack of transparency and manipulation of the market.
From what I understand an official Gaia employee used test gold granted on a mule account to buy high ticket items for much more than previously offered to put into flynns plunder. Zero then embarked on the usual save face PR campaign to cover their asses. Some found it fishy, did some investigating and found the official story is bs... so make of it what you will.
133tril-gate is a very good name indeed.
