The people who push the release of gold generators aren't the people who implement the gold sinks. The gold sinks are a counter-measure to slow the inflation; if we're still having problems with the economy despite the staff's attempts to "clear out" a significant quantity of gold, it's because some users insist on buying gold generators anyway. If Gaia wasn't making any profit from them, they'd stop releasing them.

Boycotting gold sinks just because they're not effective enough isn't a solution; I think it's important to acknowledge that an attempt to help the economy was made and to encourage people to participate. It's not helping enough, sure, but it's certainly not making it worse. Right now, the only way for Gaia to stop releasing gold generators is for people to stop buying them.
