Do you keep item doubles?

When you open RIGs and you win 2 or even 3 of the same item, do you keep the extras?
Or do you run the 'one of the same item only'-policy?
How do you feel about winning doubles?
Do you keep doubles when they were gifted to you?

Personally, I run mostly by the 'one of the same item only- principle and mix and match around.
If I win a duplicate of an item I like a lot tho and there aren't many items of that scheme, I'll keep it.
Two is my maximum tho. If I win or get a third copy, I sell it. Also, there is no point having doubles of hair & eye items xd
I get easily frustrated if I open a 5 or 10 pck of a RIG and win the same item two or even three times in a row.

It depends on the item. If I'm not set-collecting or if it's an item I don't need doubles of, I'll donate or sell it.

it really depends on the item. if i really like it an there are some cool poses, maybe.

often times the reason i have multiple copies is cos i couldn't give my extra recolours away.
like currently i have...17 of my smokin dad shirt. its not an item for everyone haha.

Im not above doubling up an item if it has a good leg or arm mod. Especially with accessories. I do a lot of gold heavy schemes so anything vintage and antique with smaller jewelry type poses I keep doubles.

Rarer or newer schemes that are harder to build with I will also keep doubles. The Charred scheme for example only has a handful of items.

There has been a trend with items with a lot of background building poses too. Like the Spring Trellis item. I have three of them I think for the individual backgrounds and lighting poses.

Same here, I try to avoid using multiples of one item. There's something satisfying about putting together an avatar without resorting to item sets

I prefer having 1 copy of each item but there will be exceptions. If it's a dress where the top and the skirt is separated into 2 poses, then I will only own 1 copy of said item. Gaia will always come out with another top/skirt item to mix and match with it.

But, if Gaia provide an anthro-bird item where the matching arm-wing and tail is divided into 2 separate poses, I will likely try to own two since it's rare for Gaia to create another bird item with matching color & feather patterns.

On very rare occasions, I will buy the maximum number of equip-poses of the same exact item if I like the item enough, or am amused by said item. One example is equipping all of the pet companion poses of Cheepz

Unless it's an item I made/recolored, the Max number of an item I will keep is 2 (exceptions for things with nice background elements or multi part dresses. Looking at you nouveau nasturtium)

I only keep one copy unless

a) it's my item;
b) the item has exclusive matching body mods (ex: Vigilant Hound skin/limbs).

In those cases I'd keep one per pose I can use simultaneously.

Depends on the item... Most of the time I only keep one copy of an item unless I really like multiple poses of it. I tend to only keep one of really expensive items though, like Id rather have like 10 100k priced items rather than one 1m item usually.

totally depends on the item. if I like several pieces, I'll keep enough repeats to have each pose if I decide to use them all in an avi. if I only like one, then I only keep one.

but when it comes to hair, one and done is a pretty obvious rule. can't use more than one of the same hair at a time.

if a set has a few items i like, ill keep an extra. i generally dont like going over 2 though.
