I could be incorrect on this but I think the reason the old thread was deleted is because it was un-editable and probably couldn't be moved. It was an older thread so the glitch may well have hit it.

It was pretty messed up, V0's post in the Welcome to GAIA! INTRODUCE yourself and make FRIENDS here! thread hadn't even showed up in quite a while, so really it was past time for the thread to go. *kept getting reports for 2004 stuff because it was on the first page, much to her dismay*
I'd say re-making by the regulars it is the best move, since the old one is gone for good. It won't be re-done by the admins or by the moderators. ^^ Really, since you guys created the replacement and are the people who chat here, this one is your right to make as you wish. It won't be stickied though, as that would be favoritism. Somehow I don't think that will keep it from being popular and very active though.
