Gah the DDR sticky is soooo off topic...But that can be a good thing some times, im usually lurking.

I guess this would be my home...Although I'm barely on Gaia.

Im thinking on importing Initial D Special Stage. But my PS2 doesn't play blue backed disks and I think swap disks are blue backed.

I thought this would be the place to ask this question. In the Game i'm driving a 180SX with about 25,000 points on it, but i just barely beat most of my enemies. I just barely squeaked by Maya and Simone. I've got the Out N Out technique pretty well, but most of the other techniques confuse me. Any help? Or should I just try and figure it out on my own, Should I be using the brake at all to initiate slides, to just turning the wheel hard and letting off the gas, then stomping back on? Thanks.

Err....Im not all sure about with a 180SX, but I guess you could play TA's and work on your lines, develope your own strategy, or check some of the earlier posts of the thread.

On the hard turns you would want to use the brake, and when you get your upgrade that goes "pssshtt" when you let off the gas, that will tell you if you are letting off too much if you don't like braking.

I would suggest working on engine braking instead of using the actual braking.
Engine braking is actually good on the uphill battles. and REALLY good on happogahara.

Figure out how to take your turns at the maximum speed first with that 180SX first. And you should be using your brake. Whatever you do, don't jerk the wheel and full lock with all your force. Also, don't stomp the pedals. That destroys the pedals itself. The pedals aren't necessarily force sensitive; mashing the gas pedal doesn't make you go faster.

I am having that same problem with my FC on my turns too sweatdrop
