Welcome to Gaia! ::

These days North Korea Kim Jong-un seems to become very irritable. He launched a few of missiles into air and calumniated South Korea President Park Guen-hye with profane words.
He barks like a mad dog? Why? What made him fretful? Nobody knows the reason exactly. But we can guess a little.
He started his swearings around the time when President Park Guen-hye spoke of "Unification Jackpot".
"Unification Jackpot"--What is that? Why is Kim Jun-un nervous about this?

This is the roadmap of Park's government unification agenda. The main contents of Park's Dresden Declaration is as followings:

In her landmark speech given at the former East German city of Dresden, Park made a three-point proposal to North Korea for the “humanity, co-prosperity, and integration” of the two Koreas. Under her humanitarian agenda, she proposed the regularization of the family reunions between the two Koreas and provision of a “1,000-day package project” to support North Korean mothers and infants. To promote co-prosperity of the two Koreas, President Park offered major inter-Korean projects, such as South Korea’s infrastructure-building investments and building of multi-farming complexes in North Korea, collaborative projects with China and Russia, and joint development projects on natural resources. Lastly, she called on North Korea to establish an “inter-Korean exchange and cooperation office” and expand people-to-people exchanges in historical research, culture, sports, and arts to bring together people on both sides and to narrow their differences from decades of division.

As you know, this is very favorable and benefitable to North Korean people. However, Kim Jong-un might think of this as a threat. This will sounds like the Gospel to North Korean people.
If North Korean people hear this news, this will lead to weaken its people's royalty to his families. Frankly speaking, he is very scared of South Korea's great bargaining unification agenda.So, he rejected it fiercely. Anyway, for him, there is no choice but accepting it.

Maybe he doesn't want his people to see what other parts of the world are like. Maybe he feels they'll crave the amenities of a more free world. We cannot be sure though.

To sum it all up in two simple words: Losing control.

He looks like he fears one of these!

In all honesty, why he is the way is he is probably is due to how North Korea has always been - fearful of losing it's power. I think Kim doesn't want to be perceived as weak and little in comparison with other heads of states. Definitely he want's to keep up an image to his own people, but more so the world. As for his people, it's probably most likely he wants them to love North Korea and will not allow them to know the pleasures and freedom of the world outside it. I think Kim is just a pitiful imitator of ol' Adolf - North Korea is the 'fatherland' to him.
