I spend probably at least 200 or a bit more a month on groceries/pet food/personal care and cleaning stuff. And I live with just my cat. lol
Its best to stock up on stuff that will last right now. I need to get some more flour and oats though. Will go to the mini bulk store across the street tomorrow maybe.

I think I take better care of my cat then I do myself. I may starve but Mindy will never. whee

Netflix has some hidden gems and its nice to easily binge something especially right now.

I would also call it a mini-event. I do remember when it was super tough and grindy for events! Do you remember that one where Diedrich had all the clones and you had to find them in flash spaces, the event page and in the forums? That took so much time!!! lol

Fishing is the one I want them to convert! lol

But you are also still working though. I am not, so I figure I best do all the things I said I'd do if I had the time. XD

Oh dang haha. Yeah I usually cook really simple things and split it with takeout food so I don't have a lot on hand.

True, I added plenty to "My List" but then I never watch any of it xD. Instead, yesterday I finally decided what to watch next. Picked up another kdrama hehe. Its already good! Oh I also decided to watch the Joker but I didn't really love it.

Hehe but there was also that sense of accomplishment after you finally got it. I don't think I was around anymore for the clones one ... but it also sounds familiar ;o I think the saddest thing was not being able to get all the items though! When they introduced Switchem they MADE IT SO HARD. I think that's also how we met. I was jealous you got this halloween hat that I couldn't xD.

Thats true. Its nice being productive. I cooked basically for the first time with my parents and also the first time making this dish. I'd say it turned out really well! (I made Korean Army Stew) :').

This is the third time its been extended, it might be like you said, so its not so depressing, but honestly the way they keep extending it. You get some hope build up and then it smashed. I'd rather a long one and then if needed they shorten it!

At least where I am, masks aren't required.

It had been extended here too a few times before they gave more information. I'd rather know the truth too and plan accordingly. I'd not be caught short on some things that way.

I don't think face masks really help much unless they're professionally made and used correctly; it's more a psychological tool. Yet they may continue to require them until most people are immune via vaccinations. I sure hope not; imagine trying to eat and drink from them once businesses start to reopen.

Sounds like you have great parents; that is truly fortunate.

Tomorrow I go on the hunt for strawberries and see if, 1, they've begun, and 2, local strawberry farmers are open for business this year. We have microfarms of less than an acre around the region, mostly by the Hmong community. They decided as a community that strawberry farming would be a good way to earn a living while figuring out the very strange America and people just love them. Pesticide free dead ripe picked daily berries. Now they've been around just long enough the 2nd generation is often running them. If the one nearest me is closed, I'll need to go to the farmer's market Sat.

At first I was worried, I would take on too big of a project at home and suddenly have to go back to work. Now its the opposite, I have at least a month. So I don't know I wanna finish all my to-do list of working on my apartment too fast.

My first thought when I see someone wearing a mask is that they are the ones sick and to avoid them.

I am really blessed with my parents. heart

That is cool. We have some strawberry farms relatively near us. A lot of farms in general, we have a Mennonite Community near us. But they closed down Farmer Markets here, not allowed. So I don't even know if Strawberry Picking, which is a big thing for people to go and do, will be a thing. crying

Well, you now have the perfect excuse to take your time and dwadle! Play online, read great books, enjoy new tv shows, and more, while pacing yourself. Not a bad way to ride out a pandemic!

Oh, that's unfortunate. Here farmer's markets are considered essential businesses as long as social distancing is being enforced, and it is. It's been decades since there were pick your own farms nearby; the area is all urban now. Those strawberry farms are truly tiny and surrounded by housing developments. And the land is rented so often they've had to move further out when the land got sold for more houses and shopping strips.

Having a Mennonite community near you is pretty cool and a great source of produce I bet.

I wish the Farmer's Market could see be going on, they are awesome! The mennonite's produce is amazing and really affordable!

Is there any way you can contact the group at whatever level this was made and point out farmer's markets are essential to obtaining the healthiest food and can be made safe with full social distancing rules, much as food stores are now? Not sure if the decision was made county, town or province level where you are. Here it's made at all 3 levels, state, county, city and they were in agreement so I lucked out.

He does and doesn't always do what he says. It's ok, he means well. The good news is tonight the ceiling did reset while I was off cooking dinner.

I'm playing it maybe a couple of times a week still. I get stuff to keep my shop full from the better rig rewards and I keep the LK charity threads full of stuff from the rest, lol. And pass on stuff to new and newly returned Gaians to help them get established.

I posted in the pre event AtS thread and this is the reply I got. No it isn't the same as it was but it is to the original first try way back when it first debuted. They made some changes to both rewards and the level of diffficulty as at first they made it way too hard too fast and made the rewards way too low at the higher levels. They did it again. But I still love swithem so I hope they fix that fast.

Yeah, I mean I get they want to do a lot but have limited staff and resources. Switch'em is finally an actual tangible thing that shows progress. So that is cool.

I use to farm LK while at work. Since I couldn't do much else, now I have a list of things I want to get done at home. I do want to rig farm eventually again.

Its nice he's answering in the pre-question thread. I hope they smooth and polish it out more, its a good game and a good one for the app too. 3nodding

I mean it's more of he promises one thing then does the opposite from time to time as he changes his mind. As for being swamped, weren't they always short staffed, short on funds and backlogged? At least since I joined in 08 anyhow.

Switchem is another game you can play while at work too now! It's nice to not play LK constantly as then I get so bored with it, even with great music and multitasking. But once in a while, it's nice.

They will work on it over time; I think every single game introduced or reintroduced has had problems then were tweaked to get it right. That's another long term Gaia tradition, lol. I just needed to point it out so he would.

Well apparently during the whole goldermort era, things were happening fast, new content, lots of updates and such. LK was a focus point and it was awesome for the LK community, with new kins. But maybe its just rose-tinted glasses. lol

Gaia has always fully supported new ventures, at the expense of maintaining older ones or updating them or even abandoning them. LK was a notable example of this. This tradition was started long before that Goldemort era and that tradition goes on. I bet we could each list about 10 things this happened to without even trying! The problem with LK is eventually it was no longer new.

You will one day. Enjoy your enforced extended staycation in the meantime, lol. Hellova way to get down time though.

That is a good point. I was always a completionist. I wanted all achievements, all event items. Those grindy events were the greatest and the worst. XD The original switch'em was the best. The new remake is okay.

I have quite a few books I got but haven't read yet. I should do that too. 3nodding

Yeah, I don't know exactly who decided or anything.

I'm always trying out new authors, but I also have stacks of books I never got around to from the days I owned a book store. I just picked up one of those and omgosh, is it good. So I will be looking up this author as it was her first book and hopefully it wasn't a one off and I now have 25 years of books by her to explore (Tricia Sullivan). It's a sci fi with a style comparable to classic David Brin. I really need to play in those back stacks more to see what other gems might be hidden there.

Oh wow. Here we're bombarded everywhere with the new rules from State or County or City via news, commercials, emails, sites and more. We all know exactly what is required by whom here and who to contact.

A bit of good news, our local strawberry farmer was open for business, observing full safety rules. I thought they'd be considered essential business but I wasn't sure they'd feel safe opening. They do.

Staycation is so weird. lol

We all have features we really loved they abandoned. I know a lot of people really miss Heralds of Chaos. But who knows? They insisted for years Zomg was gone for good and went into detail why. So Heralds might come back too!

It is, especially enforced ones with no choice.
