FOR THOSE TOO LAZY TO READ THE REST OF THE THREAD:
1. Send me a trade.
1a. Post a message in the thread (optional, but it would be nice. Keep it seasonally themed if you can.)
2. Receive gold.
ONE handout per person. I will be checking.
Charity is currently paused!
Ladies and Gentlemen.
Tonight, I sit here, looking at my small hoard of gold, proudly earned through games, trades, and all-around hard work. Each one hard fought for, to line my pockets with glimmering yellow.
And I look at my inventory, and I look at the marketplace, and I say to myself "What should I spend this gold on?" And I stare at the items, and come to a slow revelation.
There is nothing out there which I want. There is nothing out there that I need.
As such, I have pondered, what to do, with my hard-earned gold. And the answer I have found, is to give it away.
So I look at the charities here, and I see a plethora of people, all feeling likewise, taking their time to assist those less needy than themselves. But I also see a hassle for those in need. Instead of being able to line up, and receive gold, they are required to hang out, post, and participate in games, acts of randomness, etc. While I understand the necessity, it's not really in the true Christmas spirit. So there will be none of that here. You send a trade, you get gold. Plain and simple.
However, my coffers, while grand from my perspective, are nowhere near the size which would allow me to gift entire quest resolutions to people. So I sat, and I thought, and I remembered an old signature, that my friend once had when they where questing:
"If 1000 gaians can simply spare 40 gold, I can buy my fairy wings."
So, I shall follow that example. Each person, shall receive as much gold as I can currently hand out (at the moment... about 2g)
this way, I can help almost 7000 questing gaians to get THAT much closer to their goal! And so, ladies and gentlemen, I deem this Charity Open.
This is a test run, and will probably only run for tonight. I will edit this post when I am no longer able to process requests.
