Hello, my name is SolenmSerpent---welcome to my quest thread!

Before we continue, let me tell you a little bit about myself---

I became a part of the Gaian community less than a year ago, late October, 2008. After a month of inactivity, I decided to wander about the site, taking in the sights, curious as to what this place had to offer. After about a week, I couldn’t pry myself away from Gaia! It quickly became the site the frequented the most and in that time, I gained many friends. =3

The first item that I ever quested for was a Kokeshi Kimono (being the n00b I was, and probably still am, 12k was a lot of gold to me), for my friend’s birthday. After that, I began lurking around the marketplace and TekTek-ing my days away. Suddenly, I realized that there were so many items that I desired, but hardly enough gold to obtain them all! D:

After earning about 100k + in contests and from friends, I realized that it’d simply take forever to complete my quests and decided to make this cozy lil’ thread. ^^ It took me a while before I decided to open one, but now that I have, I can’t wait to see how everything unfolds. ^^

Now, it’s time for the rules of the thread!

In this section I’ll be posting little snippets of my writing for your reading please; I will also, if you would like me to, post other visitor’s stories and showcase their great talent.

This next snippet is very small, and is something that I wrote out without much thought. I didn't even know what I would be writing about when I started typing, but, it did end up going somehere I suppose.

He yearned to find the reasons for his pain; he can’t escape the throttling reality that there might be nothing past this stage of damnation. He draws his breaths in sharply, as if expecting a deafening blow to his frame each time. But the physical pain never comes, only psychological. There is no cure for his thoughts, his violent, vile, thoughts that have become the embodiment of him, which have taken over. They ravished his brain cells, burning a hole in each of his minuscule thoughts, right before he collapsed onto the ground.

It burned! These thoughts, every second, no relief, and no silence---they were starting to seep in. They thirsted for something unattainable, an insatiable hunger; something filthy yet garnished with attraction. He writhed and twisted into the ground, his brain lit aflame, his sanity beginning to diminish. Then, in a moment of lunacy he felt a warm touch, one that he suddenly desired. He hands clawed at their face, barely recognizing the human cry before he felt his teeth sink into his prey’s neck.

The pain vanished.
