Valentine's Day Gold/Platinum Grant resolution thread

Hello everyone,

Sorry the issue related to the Valentine's Day gold grant was very complicated and took a long time to resolve. We had a script that claimed to have adjusted all the gold amount, but due to some internal error, only some amounts were adjusted, while the log files claimed that everything went through okay.

We ended up tracking all transactions for each individual users and check and see if the account had been adjusted and try again.

For many of you, your account should be adjusted later today. If you believe that you had your account adjusted by mistake, please reply to this thread. Sorry for all the trouble this had caused. We had since made better reporting tools to rectify these types of issues a lot quicker moving forward.

I'm so confused @_@ I dont remember ever being granted any significant amount of gold during the event since I didnt play much and my team lost heavily.

I received a message from admin saying this:
"Apologies for the delay, the extra platinum granted after the Valentine's Day event had just been removed form your account. Your platinum balance had been deducted by 2700000000000 points. She's saying I received 2.7tril gold from the event, which I definitely didn't because I would have noticed that GIANT amount of gold @A@ But when I check my current gold amount, it seems to be the same as yesterday so that amount wasn't taken out, but I hope it DOESN'T get removed from my account later today as that amount definitely wasn't given to me during the event grant.

I chose team fondue when participating so i was only granted 10b which was the prize i guess?
If i was granted anything extra it was very insignificant because i am on every day and i would have noticed

I HAD 2 TRIL taken from my account today within the last 2 hours
And i know for a fact that was my hard earned gold and not granted to me in any way through your event or a glitch

Also i havent had any messages from any staff mentioning anything about the event or gold grants or whatever

Is posting in this thread making a difference? I still havent had any contact from admin or staff.
I also filed a ticket which i also have not had feedback from, other than it saying they got the ticket request.

Edit: April 16 and still no gold, and no feedback from anyone!

Hello, another User chiming in to ask, "The heck?"

I've deleted the PM for my piddly little help in the Valentines event that told me about how much I got via playing on team Fondue but rest assured, I know I didn't get that much as my gold amount barely changed. (Also the song "We're in the Money!" didn't play in my head.) So now the deduction is heavily noticed on the gold amount. I know damn well that the Gold I have currently was gotten via sales and the like on the Marketplace and not a glitch of things.

I wait with baited breath on the full explanation of this, since this seems like yet another error on error of this valentines event was.

I have the issue too. I never remember getting the gold grant, and last time I checked on here, I had all my money. And I'm honestly irked, because I know I earned that money through selling items and some of my characters, and I was saving that for something special... I didn't lose a significant amount like a lot of people, but I'm still missing gold. :/
I wouldn't be upset, if I wasn't planning on doing something with the gold. :/

First of all, a PM saying that the amount of gold would be changed would've been nice. Second, tbh I probably deleted the grant PM when cleaning out my inbox, so I can't say for sure but I don't remember a significant change in my gold after the event.

I understand mistakes happen, but essentially punishing users for 1) Picking Fondue 2) For a mistake that wasn’t even our fault, seems incredibly unfair, in all honesty.

Excuse me, but this can't be right.

I don't mind having to return the grand for the event since the team I was in lost anyway. It's a bit of a bummer, yes, but the world won't end because of it.

But this, no, I can't accept this. I'm so glad I didn't delete any of the messages relating to the event.

Just a few days later I got this message stating that the previous grant will be (partially) revoked. That's a bit of a bummer, but alright. Thought that would be all of it.

A message from earlier today. I don't see why so many messages were needed for the return of the grant, but alright. Personally, I don't really care about the 1000 Platinum anymore, I'll give it back, I'll personally send a trade to which-ever staff member necessary, but this.... This can't be right, right?

The original grant amount for the event was 1,000 platinum (or 10,000,000,000 Gold), thus, there is no way in which more than that account should be able to be subtracted, yet, 1250000000000 points (1,250,000,000,000 gold/ 125,000 platinum), 125X the original grant amount suddenly and magically disappeared from my account.

Please, let this be a late April fool's joke. Please, please, return to me my rightful due, I've worked really hard for it.

PS: I was also Team Fondue (that's team white-chocolate, right?), but I don't know whether that's significant, seems to be the thread connecting everyone here though, so, thought I'd mention it too.

Why was my gold adjusted more than the amount i recieved from the event?? 780000000000g was removed. i only received the amount for team fondue from the event this is unfair. I was on the loosing team. Why was a big chunk of plat removed?

Edit: to be precise, a trillion was taken away. Which I KNOW for a fact that was not gained due to the event but I had it when I used my gold during the event.

I did not receive any PM yesterday but I am fairly certain my gold count dropped by a few trillion suddenly, which would make sense since I was affected by this gold glitch, BUT Lanzer you yourself as well as some other staff in a past ATS told me my gold was correct and I didnt need any adjusting.

I hope I am mis-remembering my gold count somehow but I would appreciate this being checked.

WELL THEN, this explains why I'm suddenly missing 160k of plat that I know for a fact that I've earned through vends. And I didn't get any PM or any such nonsense about the event (which is now almost two months past us).

I would like my earned platinum back, thanks very much. *grumble*

Thanks for the rob Gaia. Isn't it hard enough to keep people interested in supporting this site before granting a small amount of platinum in error for a terrible site event and then taking a much larger amount away much later? I've supported this site for years, both through being active as well as financially, now I don't see any reason to in the future.

I never got the PM for "Mar 08, 2019" or the one yesterday all I got was the one for

I don't really mind the few tril that went poof but the PMs telling me about it would have been nice.

Nothing like feeling that your account might have been hijacked with a sudden poof of gold.
I am very happy to find out that my account is safe and sound but still some warning would have been nice. I have enough stress in real life. I don't need the heart attack on here. So next time the PMs would be helpful. Thank you
