Walkabout Creek is an Australian wildlife preserve. Our various species of animals all thrive along the creekside and live in peace among each other (Tasmanian Devils however...*ahem*). To the cheerful wallabies to the hardy platypi, we take pride in our animals and hope you find to enjoy them as well!

*Disclaimer: These descriptions are made more interesting for the sake of the shop.

Platypus Stages

The platypus is a hardy creature, once believed to be part beaver and part duck these curious mammals are not related to them at all. They live in the creek, eating bugs and small fish. Their personalities are usually stubborn, cocksure, and protective of the ones they love.

Echidna Stages

Another odd creature! These guys, like anteaters, suck up larvae and ants up with their weird little snout. Their spines are similar to a porcupine's but they would never hurt a human. Their personalities are usually cheerful, proud and generally quite pleasant to be around.

Koala Stages

Koalas are smart, yet solitary animals. They spend their days in trees eating and sleeping and occasionally come down for a drink by the creek. Their personalities are usually, smart, snobby and grumpy.

Tasmanian Devil Stages

Tasmanian Devils are of a stocky and muscular sort. They are very territorial, and aggressive when it comes to food. They usually live together in small packs, and it's best to stay far away from these guys! Their personalities are usually aggressive, dominant, and rude.

Wallaby Stages

Wallabies are the most playful of all the animals of Walkabout Creek. They are smaller versions of the Kangaroo, but less likely to get in a boxing match! They usually get along with the other species quite well, and their personalities are usually playful, friendly, and happy-go-lucky.

F.A.Q.

What does "Walkabout" mean?
It's a walk in the Outback by the native people in Australia that lasts for an indefinite amount of time.

How much are they?
Walkabout Creek animals are 6k in a flatsale.

Are these roleplay required?
No they are not, but we would really rather you drop by occasionally then get your pet and fall off the face of the earth!
Roleplay also results in perks like breeding when that becomes available.

How do I roleplay them?
You'll be roleplaying as the animals themselves, not as an owner with an Australian pet.

Why hasnt my pet grown? Its been x days/weeks/months?!
Our colourists all have lives outside of Gaia. The animals will be grown to a schedule, but there may on occasion be delays. If you believe that your pet is very overdue for a growing, please politely send the shop mule a PM and we will respond, and grow your pet if it is time for it to grow.

Can I be a guest colourist?
At this time we are not taking on guest colourists. But, we will consider this as the shop grows.

Shop Rules

Do not steal the artwork.

Follow Gaia's TOS at all times.

Check the drama at the door okay? If you have a problem with someone do not bring it into the thread. People who persist in picking fights/causing arguments will spend time on the grey list and be slapped on the black list if they repeat offend.

Do not beg, do not whine.

If freebie pets are given out, they are at the colourists discretion. Do not whine that so and so got something.

If there is roleplay happening in the thread, please mark OOC (out of character) comments with brackets or similar to keep them seperate.

Remember the colourists have a life outside of Gaia - do not keep asking when your pet will grow.

Want your little critter to stop at the stage he/she is currently at? Then buy this lovely avocado for him to nibble, and curb those growth spurts!
Price: 500g


Missed him/her being a little round ball of fur? Want him or her to skip forward a stage? Or even go back a stage, and have your critter be a baby/child again? Feed them this lychee and time will rewind or fly!
Price: 1000g


Now's the time for love... so your little guy/girl is all grown up and has found that special someone. The pitter patter of little feet is not far off, and to make sure there are more little feet then normal, buy this custard apple for the mother-to-be.

You will get 1-2 extra babies (will be rolled) and you must buy the custard apple before sending in the breeding form! You can only buy one per breeding.

Out in the Australian wilderness, when two animals fall in love, it sometimes results in cute cuddly babies!

** Breeding is always open for roleplayers! **
(Must have at least 2 completed roleplays)

-Roleplay is not required. However, if you do, you'll get more babies. Breeding spots are always open for roleplayers.
-Females can not breed again until their babies are fully grown.
-Must be two adults of the same species.
-Only male/female pairs can reproduce.
-Each litter will result in 2-5 babies being born. Each caretaker can keep one baby for themselves, but can give away the others to friends or have free contest or raffle. You can't make money from them!
-The babies will have similiar coloring and designs of their parents, but sometimes a baby will look nothing like it's parents!

*Send W.Creek the names and pictures of the couple and I will roll the breeding in thread. If you want, be sure to buy a custard apple before sending in*
