How do I get one?
There are many ways to obtain a creature from Valhalla Stables. i.e. flatsales, auctions, raffles and events.

Whats the growth rate of these creatures?
The foals can come out of their boxes anywhere between 1-2 weeks and the foal will take at least another 2-4 weeks to become an adult.

Are these RP required?
Only mutant breeding requires RPing. However, Valhalla Stables encourages RPing as it may lead to certain...perks. ninja

Donia rocked back and forth in her old, creaking chair, keeping a steady beat as she carefully watched over her brewing potion. She could not afford to disturb this deadly concoction, so she remained statuesque, only rocking back and forth. Sudden boiling of the pot’s content caused her to jump to her feet. Covering her mouth in horror, she ran out of her hut and began to yell furiously at the villagers to run away. The villagers eyed each other suspiciously; they were not about to leave their home just because a crazy old shaman told them too. The Norse had more dignity than that. So they ignored her and carried on with their daily tiresome tasks, talking and jeering all along about Donia's proclamation. Donia was outraged, how dare they ignore her warnings? Though, despite her warning, it would not matter in the end. Thick, purple mist began to emerge from her hut and swirl towards the villagers. Silence fell upon the scene as the element of fear seeped into their veins and engulfed them entirely. All eyes fell on Donia as they searched for answers in her deep blue eyes. But all they found there was something that had always been there.
Screaming, they tried to run but the mist was too thick; they couldn't see and it choked them. Donia and the villagers collapsed on the ground, unable to fight against it any longer. As they lay there coughing and crying they began to spasm and transform. Their hair grew into long silky manes and the fingers turned into hooves. Gradually they began to become horses. When the process was over and the mist dispersed, the horses surveyed each other in stunned silence. Donia joined in the slow processing of what had transpired but stopped when she realized that all eyes were again on her. A confused expression crossed her face and she lifted up her front hooves to stamp in protest. But when that didn’t work, she looked down to see that she didn't have glossy hooves. She had hands.
She trotted over to the village water pool and inspected herself. What she saw was a centaur, not a horse. Apparently, the mist hadn't affected her in the same way the others had been transformed. Also, while she had long since stopped counting her mortal years as she became gray and fragile, she was now youthful. Her skin tone had changed as well; rich brown fur of bay coloring covered the equine half of her body and the color had continued up her human skin giving it a deep, healthy glow. A smile crept onto her face. But it quickly vanished when she heard a fog horn in the distance.
The Vikings were coming home.

THE MAP OF SOLUM


1. Pegasus Precipice: It's a relatively neutral area, dangerous to anything without the ability to fly. Mostly, it's mostly used by youngsters to practice their flying.

2. Janis Lake: Named after an old forgotten faerie portal said by legends to be at the bottom of the lake. A common place for the rare Kelpie breed to dwell.

3. Slinus Ridge: Pocked with endless caves, it is a dark and dangerous place. The home of the Atrox herd and some Unseelie families, it's a place to avoid.

4. Donia's House and Stables: The warm hut where Donia the centaur lives, adjacent is the stables where prospective foals and adults stay to be adopted.

5. Xanil Forest: A dark place full of ancient trees, the home of many Seelie families, also where Donia gets many of the herbs and items she uses to stock her inventory with.

6. Cornelius' Marsh: A dank place in Solum that is rarely visited by herds. But the ones that do swear that an evil presence lurks there; hiding in the heavy fog.

7. Seeing Waters: A small pool that was once home to a prophet unicorn. Ever since her passing, bright flowers bloom around the pool all year round and others have reported experiencing fleeting visions when gazing upon its glassy surface. The pegasus and unicorns herds live around the Waters, hoping to obtain magical powers.

8. Zleph Grasslands: This large area covered with delicious growth is where the Sleiphnir's tend to dwell; munching on the tender stems of spring.

Many different species dwell in the stables, waiting to be adopted. Rarely, Tsil discovers or cares for a new breed so keep your eyes peeled!

THE BASIC STAGES OF ALL BREEDS


Named after the mount of the god, Oden, these creatures come in a huge variety of colors and coat patterns. Known for their speed and strength and in the case of pegasus', wodnerful flyers, these stallions and mares proud of their races.

Stage one: The chest. The babies are put into padded boxes that have claps painted similar colors to its coat. *The insect/objects on the chest indicate what breed the horses are.The baby is its home for about two weeks before it leaves the protection of the box.

Stage two: Foal. The horse has left its chest! Still small and clumsy, it needs at least two to four more weeks to grow up.

Stage three: Adult. Shedding its fluffy baby fur and trading in spindly legs for strong, muscular ones. It is finally fully grown. It must be an adult for at least three weeks before it can find a mate and have children.

Stage four: Legend. ??? Very little information is known about a fourth growing stage at this time.

Seaweed: Kelpie
Star: Unicorn
Feather: Pegasus

Note: The poses and characteristics will vary from breed to breed which is why the above section was called 'The basic stages of all breeds'.

Donia is the single known living centaur and the only one willing to converse with other herds. Donia helps prospective owners find the right creature for them and looks over the different herds affairs.


Tsil is Donia's assistant to a certain degree. She acts as a mediator between the more seclusive herds and Donia as they don't move around very often. Because of this, she is often hard to find.

THE GOOD HERDS

Unicorns
As most elusive of the good species, they are mutants and tend to be loners or in groups consisting of a mother and her foal. The horns on their forehead are rumored to have magical abilities but so far, no unicorn but those that reach Legend have been able to use them. Infertile unless given a fertility aid, when they do mate, the unicorn genetics are dominate. Rare breed. The result of a Seelie x Seelie.

Seelie
The butterfly winged equine fae, like the fey of lore, they are mostly borderline bi-polar. Quick to anger and very sneaky. Unlike their darker cousins, Seelie are rarely malicious. Despite the presence of wings on their back, this species is flightless. A common breed. The result of a Seelie x Seelie.

Pegasus
The only equine with the ability to fly. They are playful and reside in high, unreachable caves on cliffs. Found mostly in large groups with their families, pegasus herds are usually matriarchs. The genetics of the pegasus, however, are recessive and so pegasus foals are rare. Extremely rare breed. The result of a Sleiphnir x Sleiphnir OR Atrox x Atrox.

Sleiphnir
This is the most common species. Found in a wide range of colors, they are the closest to the typical horse breeds found on earth. Common breed. Th result of a Sleiphnir x Sleiphnir.

THE EVIL HERDS


Unseelie
The darker equine fae which is said to be or was a relative of the Seelie species. Recognized by the dragonfly wings on their back, Unseelie are much crueler then most breeds. A common breed. The result of a Unseelie x Unseelie.

Kelpie
Usually covered in water weeds and dripping wet, the kelpie is as elusive as the unicorns. Also, one of the most sinister species to roam Solum, they drown their victims by pretending that they need rescuing in the water. Infertile unless given an artificial fertility aid, kelpie blood breeds true. A rare breed. The result of a Unseelie x Unseelie.


Atrox
The most vicious of the species in Solum. These creatures have large, sharp fangs that allow them to tear into their meal of choice; meat. They should always to be approached with caution. A common breed. The result of a Atrox x Atrox.

The creatures are the perfect companions for your pet! They are small and loyal, prepared to help protect them or go on hunts.



The Floki
Named after a dog of another norse god, they are fiercely loyal and protective of their owners. They loves to play and cuddle as well. They come in a variety of colors, both realistic and unrealistic.

The Madalion
This hospitable feline related species is the perfect companion for a lonely horse. They may disappear from time to time but they will always come back as they easily become attached to their owners.

The Ragvin
Summoned from the depths of the forest these creatures usually accompany an Atrox as their demanour and personalities co-incide.

Donia has found one of these rare berries! They are incredibly similar to other berries found in the forest but are distinguished by where they are grown. You might want to snap this up as feeding it to your female mutant will result in her having a foal with her mate.

Every item but the Mutalinus Berry will be restocked every month.

Breeding is not RP-required unless they are mutants.

A breeding costs 10k, split by the owners of the breeding pair.
The horses can only have one foal UNLESS a fertility improving item is bought or they roll for a second*. THERE IS NO OTHER WAY.
Familiars can not breed as of right now.
The babies can either take after the mother, the father, or both in colors and markings.
There is no cross-breeding with different species.
**Mutants (Kelpies, Pegasus' and Unicorns) can not breed unless they are 'gifted' with an egg or if Donia finds a 'Mutanlinus Berry' on her expeditions across the land which will then be avaliable in her shop. Note that because a 'Mutanlinus Berry' is ONE berry and ONE egg will only ever be gifted to a Mutant at a time there will ONLY ever be ONE mutant foal.
Owners may auction off a baby is they don't want it and receive 75% of the trade.
If the owners can not decide who gets which offspring on their own, they may roll one 6-sided dice. Whoever gets the higher number gets first pick.

To get a breeding slot
You get 5 rolls of one 10-sided dice. If you get a total of 25 points or higher, you get a breeding slot. This continues until they are all filled.
You can also bribe for a breeding in a season that is not open for breeding. PM the mule with the below form.

*Roll 10, 10 sided dice and if you recieve 15 or lower then congratulations! You have a second foal.

A) The 2 Mutants meeting and forming a relationship
B) The birthing process or how the female Mutant is coping with the pregnancy.
C) ? Make up your own if you have any idea. BUT it must be cleared with us first.

There then must be an RP with Donia (after the birth).

Flatsales are 5k each. When the post of "GO" post the adoption form in the thread. If your form gets accepted (meaning, no one adopted the creature before you) you become the owner. You must send the trade IMMEDIATELY after posting the form, otherwise the chest WILL BE put up for adoption again

Raffles
For now, there are two kinds of raffles.
1. You get tickets for completing a task, such as reffering someone or offering us ideas which we can use.
2. You buy the tickets! Tickets are 100g for one. If you are buying a raffle ticket, post the ticket line in normal sized, bolded red font.



Auctions
Auctions will happen with big events or when an owner doesn't want all the boxes from a breeding and they aren't sold in a flatsale (Owner's choice).
The starting bid for an auction is 8k.
The minimum increment is 1kg.
You must post in size 18, red when posting your bid.
Autobuys are unique to the auction and will be announced then.
Auction winners will be given 3 days to send the trade otherwise the horse/chest will go to the runner up. If you have a HB, kitsune or candy must be notified if you are going to be away during the time that the auction ends.
