Royals "grow" when they are incubated, fed or have formed an alliances (i.e. clicked) a certain number of times

Royal Adoption

How do I adopt a Royal?
There are several ways to adopt. Please see:

How many different kinds of Royals can I adopt?
As an ExcellentEmperors.com Member you may adopt as many different kinds of Royals as you want! However, certain Royals may be limited in quantity or may only be available to you at certain times.

How many of the same kind of Royal can I own at one time?
You can own two of the same kind of Royal (i.e. two Starter Royals) at one time. Once you've adopted two of the same kind of Royal, that kind of Royal will no longer be available to adopt by you, unless you set one free.

What time will a Royal be available?
All times will be listed in EST time. If your time zone is different, you can use this time converter.

How much do Royals cost?
Prices are as follows (unless otherwise specified):

Although there are many opportuntiies to adopt for free, you may only win one free Royal per free advertising & referral raffle, free dice game, free bumping contest or free page # contest. You may also adopt a Starter Royal or another free Royal available at ExcellentEmperors.com, however, Starter Royals and other free Royals available directly on ExcellentEmperors.com are not unique. Other people may also adopt these Royals. If you win a Royal through Adoption in this thread or Contests in this thread, you will be paying gold for a unique Royal and only you can adopt that unique Royal.

Can I sell or give away my Royal?
No! That's stealing and against the rules.

Can I PM you my form?
No. Please do NOT PM forms unless otherwise specified in this thread.

Royal Growth

How many Stages do Royals have?
Royals have eight Stages which are described HERE.

How do Royals grow?
Royals grow when they are incubated, fed or form an alliance (are clicked on) a certain number of times.

How long does it take for a Royal to grow?
Each Stage takes more incubations, feedings or alliances (clicks) than the previous Stage.

Egg - None
Hatchling - Requires 15 Incubations (clicks)
Infant - Requires 30 Feedings (clicks)
Chick - Requires 100 Feedings (clicks)
Lord/Lady - Requires 200 Feedings (clicks)
Earl/Countess - Requires 500 Alliances (clicks)
Duke/Duchess - Requires 1000 Alliances (clicks)
Prince/Princess - Requires 3000 Alliances (clicks)
Emperor/Empress - Requires 5000 Alliances (clicks)

An individual can only incubate, feed or form an alliance with a Royal once per day (i.e. one click per IP address every 24 hours). Multiple individuals can click the same Royal each day.

Can a Royal get sick or die?
Nope, Royals currently do not get sick or die. Although this may be possible in the future.

Royal Gender

Is a Royal's gender predetermined?
Royals have a 50/50 chance to be a male or a female. Gender is usually revealed when a Royal grows into a Hatchling (Stage 1).

I already own two of [insert kind of Royal] and they are both the same gender. I wanted one of each gender, but I'm not allowed to adopt a third [insert kind of Royal]. What do I do?

Go to My Royals > Adopt a Royal.
Check [insert kind of Royal] is still available to adopt.
If they are still available to adopt you can set one of your [insert kind of Royal] free.
By setting one of your [Insert kind of Royal] free, you will be allowed to adopt [insert kind of Royal] again.

WARNING: Some Royals may only be available to adopt for a limited time. Royals available to adopt will list the time span they are available (if limited) on My Royals > Adopt a Royal.
WARNING: Remember, just as in nature, there is no guarantee that the next Royal you adopt will be the gender you want.

Naming Royals

How can I rename my Royal?

Sign into ExcellentEmperors.com
Go to My Royals > Care for Royals
Click the "Rename" button that corresponds with the Royal you wish to rename
Provide a new name for your Royal (You can change it later if you wish)
Click the "Rename" button

Can two Royals have the same name?
Yep.

Setting Royals Free

I no longer want my Royal. What do I do?

Go to My Royals > Care for Royals
Click on the "Set Free" button that corresponds with the Royal you wish to set free
Click on the Royal's "Set Free" button

WARNING: Setting a Royal free PERMANENTALLY DELETES that Royal from your Account! There is NO UNDO!

If I set my Exclusive Royal free, will that allow other people to adopt them?
No. If your Royal is Exclusive only to you, only you can adopt that Royal, regardless of whether or not you set them free.

Miscellaneous

I noticed [insert accessory/clothing] on somebody's Royal. Where did they get it?
Some Royals may have different accessories or may wear different clothing in different stages. However, there is no guarentee that a Royal will have a particular accessory or article of clothing unless they are a Custom Royal.

Can we affiliate?
Sure! PM ExcellentEmperors. Only 88x31 or 200x40 pixel banners please.

Do you do pet trades?
Possibly. PM ExcellentEmperors to inquire.

Are you hiring?

Wow! An easier way to care for your Royals. Check it out! See the new drop-down menu while you're caring for one of your Royals. Now when you're on About, Incubate/Feed/Unite, Biography, Occupation, Helpers, Codes, Rename, Freeze/Unfreeze or Set Free pages, you don't have to go back to find your other Royals! Just use the new drop-down menu. They're all there!

Add a biography to your Member Profile.

Add your Gaia Username (that links to your Gaia Profile) to your Member Profile.
AIM Username now links to AIM.
