'Souls Manifest' is a B/C shop based around an alternative universe in which Daemons exist, manifesting themselves with their Human at a time of great need. The Daemons here go through a very different manifestation then those of Lyra's world, starting to appear physically during their Humans' teenage years, and slowly, over time, changing into the solid Daemon that the Human will then have with them for the rest of their lives. There is even a chance, with much devotion and time, that a final, special stage can be reached where the Daemon becomes an Inner Manifestation, and is able to manipulate the Magika that forms them in this world.

Though based around the books of Philip Pullman, this world is not Lyra's or Will's, but another of the many universes that run along parallel. The Subtle Knife has not found this realm yet, and with Lyra and Will's success in stopping the flow of Dust in their realms, the devastation of the migrating Magika has now stopped in this Realm. Daemons now form successfully and quickly, more tanglible then ever before. Even fully formed Daemons of older Humans have gained a more physical body, to the joy of all adults and elders alike.

Manifesting is a hard time, for Daemon and Human alike, and here, those that have just started along the path to manifestation are always welcome.

With any shop, there is lots going on, and as such, sometimes, you can loose track of events and changes that may be important to you! Not to fear! Any important news will be stored here for easy viewing, and will explain any sales and where they may be happening!

Should you have questions, regarding rules, regulations, or any aspect of the shop that you feel may not have been fully answered in this front page of information, please, either post it in thread for immediate assistance from regulars and resident staff that may be able to help you, or PM the mule, SOULS MANIFEST with your questions. News - February 10

06 Feb - Hello there guys and welcome to a new Monthly update! This feature is also going to start being broadcast using the Guild Announcements feature, so look out for that!

I do apologise for my past demeanour of not being around for pretty much the WHOLE of January, but due to my being in my last year of University, just entering my last semester EVER, I need to get myself on track for that degree at a 2.1 level at the least to go into my chosen profession. I hope that over the next 4 months or so that you will all forgive my tardiness! I hope to be able to continue to give you all the support and Daemons you all so crave, and I will make sure that there are some fun exercises to stimulate your creativity ^^

I would like to welcome the manymany MANY new comers to Souls Manifest through the Christmas Customs and also the Christmas Character Creation Contest! To all of you, a belated welcome, and all Daemons SHOULD have been dropped! If you have yet to pick up your Daemon check back a few pages and seek 'em out ^^ The only exception to this is Beinmir, who will be being drawn up and coloured this weekend (probably tomorrow) so that his owner Mei Silja can watch over the LiveStream, as per his polite request!

Currently, there is a poll in thread that I would like to know your opinion of. Depending on the result, I will either be setting up an RP-based Flatsale, an Auction for a special form of Daemon - either mythical or unusually patterned, Customs for those that wish to get long standing characters they've had in mind made up, or else, a set of games that will span over the month, and at the end would result in some Daemon-y give aways ^^ Please let me know what you would like to see ^^

Other then that, I would like to say thank you to you all, and speak to you all in due course ^^

News - December 09

03 Dec - Well, with a VERY quiet month of November what with my Uni work catching up with me, we are planning a lovely big Winter Ball for the month of December! Expect invitations to be sent out on the 5th, which will give you 5 days to get your costumes, your dates, and on the 10th, the Ball will begin!!

May I also point you all down a few posts, to the Staff section, PPC section and even, yes, the SCHOOL SECTION!!! Woo!!! I finally got my thoughts together and have strung out a good description of the school as I see it! Hope you all have fun now that you know what your school looks like XDD

On the 20th, there is a plan for a BIG Character Creation Contest, with a Christmas-y theme for the entries! Also, I would like to put out a bit of a plea!

IF ANYONE IS AWARE OF, OR IS THEMSELVES A HUMAN ARTIST - IE. IS BETTER AT HUMANS THEN MYSELF - PLEEEEASE GET IN CONTACT WITH ME!!!

I am to open up, some point next year, a mini-shop that will collaborate with Souls to draw the humans of the Daemons, and get their own certed human! These human images are not going to grow, and will simply be an artistic depiction of your human within Tarallus attire and situation! If anyone is aware of an artist looking to make some cash, please let them know that Souls Manifest is interested, and any examples they have would be greatly appreciated. My other option will be to make a paper doll for people to use, however, even then, I ain't good at humans, so I'd rather have some fantastic artists within the store that can draw humans for our lovely patrons here!

On that note, thanks all who have been RPing in my absence!! We have had not one, not two but THREE progressions over November! Mei Silja's DINMELETH, Lunaur's INARKI and Aurrie's JAKKAPARI have all progressed to first stage settlers and joined the world of the slightly more substantial!! Congratulations! You are the pride of Souls currently! Display your lovelies proudly, and draw in those crowds!

On a slightly more artistic note, those interested in the LiveStream, I know for a while it was quite hard to watch and I was a bit of a retard and used an actual cam to film it. Now, I have downloaded a fantastic web-capture programme, and you are now able to watch the creation of Daemons at a much clearer clarity!! WOO for Daemons!! X333

Again, thanks to you all for keeping up with Souls, even in my obnoxious Hiatus. I will apologise some more, it is likely to be a bit of an on/off hiatus which will happen whenever Uni work starts to build up! Please accept my apologies and slowness, and continue with all your fantastic hard work!! Those that have not started your Journals yet, or RPed at all, PLEASE do so, regardless of my absence! People here are ALWAYS around to RP with, all you need do is set up an ORP or else just ask in thread! Please don't be afeared!

News - September 09

2nd Sept - Woo! Well, into a new month we go! How exciting! With the Grand Opening Event now finished, but for the FS, and so far 11 new Daemons out and about, what more could we be happy about?

I'd like to welcome Mriae, Aurrie Beaues and Tekkianna to the PPC crew! With their help, we should be having a great time soon, what with future plots soon to come into being! I'd also like to welcome the new members of the Souls Manifest customer role, Scaramouche Fandango, Mei Silja, Citanul Lunatic, StarrySeas and Tekkianna! All very exciting stuff!!

I'd also like to point out that Mal has managed to finally get himself in shape, and got a Livestream account, which he will announce everytime he is doing a Daemon, for those interested in watching! Some of you have already been taking full advantage, and it is great to have you all rallying behind me as I draw out these great little characters.

Malhy would also like to point out he's gone and made a fantastic little banner for affilates and the Guild, and you may also put it in your sigs if you would like to go out and spread the word about Souls to your friends, which, as always, is highly encouraged!!

He would also like to show you all to the Guild, where he has put up a FAQ thread! If you have a question you desperately need answering, please look to the Guild, and if your question is not there, post it in that thread ^^

Um... OH! Yes, congratulations to Lady Evelyn Nyht and Yuuka for winning the bday Daemons! You have both got a little work to do on those profiles, but your Daemons will be to you soon!

News - August 09

31st Aug - Well, with one day left of the Grand Opening Event, we have got some smashing Daemons soon to come! The winner of the birthday raffle was Lady Evelyn Nyht, so big congratulations to her, and the person she chooses to take on the other Daemon from that raffle!!

Today, I will be doing the sketches of the Daemons owed, so I will be attempting to set up once again so that y'all can watch me finish them off ^^ I'll post the link in the thread when that happens!
26 Aug - Well, August is nearly over, which means one of two things!

1 - The Grand Opening Event is nearly over
2 - It is nearly Malhy's 20th birthday!

As such, there is going to be a special raffle for ALL the people that post within the Souls Manifest threads (both the main and the grand opening!). Depending on whether you post on the 30th, and depending on HOW MANY TIMES you post in these two threads, you will earn yourself FREE tickets to win TWO custom Daemons - two Daemons that will ALWAYS be holding ribbons and badges with '20' on them ^^ It will be up to you to determine WHY the Daemons have decided to become so attached to such items, but they will have the ability to carry it from Settler stage onward, just like the White Ribbon Daemons!

However, there is a catch! If you win these Daemons, you must then go and find a friend who is NOT a member of Souls Manifest! Whether they don't know of it yet, or have not yet got a character either with or without a Daemon (so unfortunately, if you have a Daeling already set up, you cannot be given this Daemon!) and you must send them in to post the following statement:

IN THE LIGHT OF YOUR BIRTHDAY, MY GOOD FRIEND (INSERT NAME HERE) HAS KINDLY GRANTED ME THE CHANCE TO HAVE A BIRTHDAY DAEMON

You will be given one of the Daemons, and your friend the other. You can make them related if you like, those please, no twin Daemons, for we already have our twins for this year!!!

06 Aug - OMFG!! Check out pg75 for a gander at the new map the Malhy has been working on! It looks pretty decent, even if I do say so myself... And I do!!! LOL!!

News - July 09

20 Jul - With all the events over that have happened before our official Grand Opening, I am now pleased to announce that the

GRAND OPENING EVENT

Is now open for your perusal and you can start writing prompts and planning the funds you may need. If going for the Concept Contest, you can set up the RP required in the RP Forum of the Guild under the title '[CONT] Twin Daemon RP'. Go have a look, make sure you read the relevant information for the Daemon Events you may want to enter, and get thinking ^^
11 Jul - The White Ribbon Event Souls Manifest RP Contest has closed, and the winners announced were Aurrie Beaues and Navywolf. Thanks to all the participants for supporting White Ribbon and Souls Manifest. We hope that those not fortunate enough this time to win a Daemon will return and put in their characters as Daelings, and remain to RP with those that won and the others that own Daemons here.
05 Jul - Congrats to the four winners of the Trivia contest; Aurrie, winning a full Daemling - True Form, Mriae and Angel, winning a 2nd Stage Settler each and Saint, winning the original prize of a True Form Daemon ^^ All made a sterling effort and all achieved over 50% in the Contest!! I was so proud of you all! With the exception of Aurrie, all need to provide a name for your Daemons. If the character is female, you should attempt to provide a masculine name for the Daemon, if male, a feminine name is needed. However, there is the exception of those that are deciding to have homosexual characters. In these cases, Daemons should be the similar in their gender traits as their human, ie. female character, feminine Daemon; male character, male Daemon. As soon as these names are given, the certs will be able to be completed, and the Daemons gotten to you even faster ^^
02 Jul - Though still bogged down with no internet at my flat, I have decided to start setting up the Grand Opening Event that will be occuring either at the end of this month, or sometime in the next. It will have all manner of great events happening, and more information can be found on pg 27. Check it out ^^

There is also some fun to be had on pg 31!! I have set up a simple Trivia contest for someone to win a free Daemon ^^

NPC owners - you need to get to me the information of your Daemon. This way I can get some more beautiful Daemons out into the world for people to admire and say 'I want one of those!!'.

Don't forget everyone, bringing in friends means that we can sell more Daemons, and the more Daemon owners there are, the more fun you guys will have in the RPs ^^ Keep advertising, and keep refering people ^^

News - June 09

07 Jun - With the advertising contest over, it should be noted that the winners were Keetabirdy and SetsunaSakura. They are the owners of the first ever Daemons from this shop! Keeta's Daemling is available for viewing on pg22, to all those interested.
June has arrived with the start of the White Ribbon Event, so if interested in winning one of three Daemons, get your butts over there and start bumping away, and look out for the raffle that is holding onto one of the Daemons, with the other two being given away in a Story Writing Contest in the Guild of White Unity.
It should also be noted that on pg18, I have given you all a hiatus notice. I have recently moved house, and thus, need some time to get a secure internet access. Currently, I am accessing Gaia from the Uni library, which is not always available, so be prepared for a little delay on NPC contests and the Grand Opening Event!!
I'd also like to point out that Navywolf is the RP Manager and Head Judge for Souls, and you will need to give her as much respect as you give me, as she is holding the fort in my absence. Upset her and you upset me.
The guild is now partially open - The [J] and [INFO] forums are now open for use ^^ Please ensure you follow the rules and read all necessary information.

News - May 09

04 May - With May being a hard time for all with school and exams beating down on us all, I have made the executive decision to do an Advertising Contest for the month of May! It is an easy way to get people interested in the Thread, and also a great way for people to win their first Daemon! There is also the WHITE RIBBON EVENT coming up soon, so keep your eyes out for that announcement! It will be an opportunity to win not one, not two, but THREE Daemons, all with the custom item of a White Ribbon to show our support as a shop to Artists Against Art Thieves! Two will be sold through a long RP Contest and also through a large Mass Raffle in the Thread!!! Excited? You should be guys ^~

News - April 09

24 Apr - Progress is slowly speeding up, and with the production of some very fancy banners, Souls Manifest is starting to look a lot more like a real shop where customers can sit and enjoy themselves ^^ The Flatsale is HOPEFULLY going to be taking place in THIS thread tomorrow evening, starting 8pm (may change to 10pm depending on the timezones of people interested - you will be kept posted!) GMT, but if this thread has not had the majority of posts completed by then, then it will be conducted in the Interest Thread ^^ More information will be given in time.
23 Apr - Work has started on the new thread, where the shop will, hopefully, ride out the course of its life ^^ Feel free to stick around, but do not post. This shop has a lot of construction to do, and a stray post now will throw it all into jeapardy.

Rules

The shop has a number of rules concerning the creation, growth and speed with which your Daemon progresses. These are important rules that you should fully understand before attempting to gain one of these Daemons. Being RP Required, there are a few things that much be adherred to to stop issues arising. Just take a moment to read through these rules and make sure you are happy with them to become a patron of our B/C shop.

Rules of the Shop

01 - Malhyanth and his Staff hold the right to change any of these rules, should it be necessary to do so!
02 - Malhyanth's word is golden, and as creator, he alone has the power to Blacklist you from the shop. His Staff will be his eyes when he is not around, and will report to him any problems that may arise.
03 - No begging the Staff or patrons of the shop for a Daemon.
04 - No whining about the requirements of this shop as being unfair. The Staff are working hard for you to get the Daemon you deserve, whether it be the case that the animal form is significantly different to that which you have chosen or not. They are working hard for you, so at least put some effort and thought into your choices.
05 - RP that is in the Main Thread may be Canon, but if this is the case, it MUST be transcribed into your Journal.
06 - If you are asked to stop doing something by a member of staff, it is in your good health to do it. This shop runs on a three strikes and your out, unless your foul is so dreadful that you are automatically banned.
07 - Swearing is allowed, but keep it to PG-13.
08 - Drama is not appriciated. If you have a problem with someone or something, PM the Mule to outline your problem. Do not start a barney in the thread.
09 - Do not ask me to become a part of the Staff. If I need Staff, I will announce it, and set up ways in which you can apply.
10 - Have fun! This shop is all about self discovery and realising your potential as RPers and as people. The art here is all Unique, so you have a lot of control over how you Daemon will look. Just... Be aware there are some rules about Daemon Creation.

Rules of Daemon Creation

01 - No 'Uberwolf' Daemons. An Uberwolf is a Daemon that is created with out-of-the-ordinary markings, colours, hybrids, etc, to make it appear cool and better then everyone elses. The Daemons here are based on REAL animals. There is a chance at having your animal form be Melanistic or Albino, but you need to do the research on how rare this is in the genetics of your chosen animal form, and whether you believe you are that unique a person in the scheme of things, ie. do you stand out so much in the crowd that your Crow Daemon should be albino?
02 - No random markings or colours!! Yes, I know I already stated this above, but some of you might not have been listening! The Daemons are ALL NATURAL here. Exceptions are only made in the Inner Manifestation stage, where unusual markings and colours can be exhibited due to the overflow of Magika in their bodies.
03 - You can have the infant versions of your chosen animal form, but be aware this generally signifies that your personality is childish, peurile, and generally means you are incapable of difficult tasks. Make sure that is what you are wanting to portray through your Daemon before suggesting it. The same can be said for old animal forms. Are you really that mature and knowledgeable?
04 - No human Daemons. Just no.

Roleplay Requirements

Being a RP Required shop does not mean that you need fear for your pets safety should you go off on holiday, or real life turns round to bite you in the a** and you need to take a break from Gaia. Here at 'Souls Manifest', we know what it is like to have real life being the main priority, so these RP Reqs. are not time based. That means, should you not post in any RPs for a few weeks, ok! Should you not be able to write up your research when you wanted, thats ok too! There are ABSOLUTELY no time restrictions on how long your Daemon stays at each stage.

However, what does restrict the growth of your Daemon is the writing-based restrictions. In other words, 'Souls Manifest' has a select amount of requirements you as the owner have to fulfil. It can be done as quickly or as slowly as you like. Each 'stage' of development is assessed by your Artist and a Judge, and they will decide whether the requirements you have filled are to a high quality standard, and whether the RPs and Journal entries you have put forward link in with the Research Entry (outlined more below) you have posed for the next stage.

Below, there are two lists of requirements. This is because at 'Souls Manifest' we know that some people are better capable of fufilling lengthy requirements then others, and that some people that may desperately want a Daemon from this shop may not have the time to fulfil the requirements, no matter how minimal the RP requirements may be! Thus, the MinRP Reqs. were designed. RP if you wish, or leave it to fate, these requirements are for those that simply have NO time to be RPing with this person or that person, but desperately want to be a part of the 'Souls Manifest' community.

Read on to see the differences. I will only offer the MinRP Reqs to those that are truely incapable of filling out the full Reqs. As I said before; TIME IS NOT A FACTOR. RPing is. Just think of the full Reqs. as a chance to really get to grips with the Daemon creation, and to really prove to me and my team that the animal form you choose really is the best choice ^^



Full RP Requirements

-Daemling > Settler-

> Character Creation Entry <
This is the starting point of ALL 'Souls Manifest' patrons. It is the 'ticket' of Flatsales, Raffles and Contests, and the information needed once Auctions and Customs are won. It is a form that is used to help your Artist better understand your character, and is used to start off your Journal in the Guild.
> 1-3 Journal Entries <
These are used to describe the distressing time that caused the Manifestation to begin. They will elaborate more on the 'tragedy' described in the event the Daemon was won through. Events leading up to the 'tragedy', the 'tragedy' itself and events after are all reasonable journal entries that can be written here.
> 1-3 Animal Form Journal Entries <
These entries occur a little after the 'tragedy', when the Daemling starts to reveal itself to you. They are used to outline what animal forms are seen within the swirling mass by your side, with some reflection on why these animals may exhibit parts of your personality and soul. Generally the Daemling will consist of 3-6 animal forms, with 2-3 being of a greater influence on its shape, so it is up to you how these musings are split up to fill the requirements.

-Settler Stages-
Can be repeated up to 5 times, ie. have 5 Settler Stages!! The suitability of progression will be judged by your Artist and one Judge

> 2-3 Journal Entries (each stage) of Personal Reflection <
These entries are about your Daemon, regarding their form, possible future stages, what their personality is like in relation to your character. They are important bonding sessions between the current stage of your Daemon and your portrayed character, as perhaps the form came as a bit of a shock, perhaps you don't really know what the animal is that has been presented, or perhaps you just don't feel the animal is right! Whatever feelings you may have about the form, this requirement is for the personal reflection.
> 5-10 incomplete, or 3-6 complete ORP/PRPs (each stage) <
This is where you converse with 1 or more of the other Owners or 'Daelings' (other players that are waiting for their Daemon to Manifest). The situation can be anything you can dream of, just so long as it is with an outside influence, it doesn't really matter!
> Research Entry (end of each stage) <
In order for your Daemon to progress in the way you want and feel is right, you need to provided a small Entry that outlines the animal they are going to change into in their next stage. This is most important! If your entry is judged as being unsuitable through your explanations, or 'uberwolf', then your Daemon will not progress to True Form, but become another form of the Settler, appearing as the animal you suggested. You must then start over. Much thought should be put into this, unless you want to repeat the Settler Stage a few times, for RP and Storyline sake ^^ THIS DOES NOT MEAN YOU HAVE FAILED IN ANY WAY, just that you have been asked to think a little more carefully on your animal form choice.

-Settler > True Form-

> All of the above (for each repeated stage you may have had to do) <
The RPs, Journal Entries, and most specifically, the Research Entry will all be judged at each repeat, and then if we agree with your decision and feel you have put enough effort in and chosen wisely, you will get your ideal, chosen True Form.
> 5 'Unsuitable' Repeats <
If you have got to your maximum of 5 repeats and still are at logger heads with the Artist and Judge that are dealing with your case, you will be given the option of having your Daemon stay at the Settler stage it is currently in, with opportunities given to you once a month to do a new Research Entry, OR, your Artist and Judges can come to a decision for you, based on your character sheet (one of the reasons it is so important) and create your True Form for you.

-True Form > Inner Manifestation-
Special events will be announced once every 2-3 months, where True Forms will have the chance to become Inner Manifestations through a number of 'tasks'. They will be RP based, and only the best in the group will be given the chance at this special stage. It will only happen when there are enough True Forms to provide a good amount of competition and fun ^^



Minimum RP Requirements

A very different breed to the FullRP Reqs., the MinRP Reqs. do not require half the effort. Though Owners are encouraged to when they have a moment to RP with the other patrons of the shop, it is not necessary with this form of requirements. Below, the requirements are outlined. The Settler stages run in much the same respect as those of the FullRP Reqs., in that they can be repeated up to 5 times, and if no conclusion is reached after that, you will be given the option of monthly re-entries or the Artist and Judge can choose an animal form for you. Other then that, the only requirements are as follows.

-All Stages-
> 1-3 Journal Entries of Personal Reflection <
These entries are about your Daemon, regarding their form, possible future stages, what their personality is like in relation to your character. As you can see, the requirements are different, and as such, it should be thought through carefully if you think you may not be able to cope with the FullRP Reqs. MinRP Reqs. are automatically assumed in Pet Trades, and are freely available to those who autobuy Auctions and buy Customs. Each case is dealt with on an individual basis, so do not be afraid to come to us if you have a problem. Story



"The history of this realm is much like our own. Tarallus was created at the same time as our world, though as with us, no one is completely sure how. Humans grew and developed roughly same as our world’s, from creature to caveman, to tribes, to empires. The time periods were the same as ours, though perhaps a slight bit changed, often longer; the Egyptians spent a few hundred years more building their pyramids, or the Roman empire fell a thousand years after ours would. There was always something there, however. Something that is largely unseen in our world, but now common in Tarallus. It was a small, strange, sparkling orb that would follow a human around. These only emerged after their human had gone through a life-changing experience, most often a tragedy, and so were thought of as evil signs of a marked life. Occasionally, they would take on a spirit-like form, encompassing a variety of animals. However, as no one knew what they truly were, and so therefore could not foster it, they rarely went beyond this spirit-form. These were the first Daemons of the realm.

Then, in their early 16th century, but what would equate to our 14th century, those who mined for metals and other natural resources discovered that there was very, very little left. Tarallus was plunged into chaos. The demand and price of metal skyrocketed; anyone who owned metal objects either kept them very well hidden, or sold them. Any metal that could be found would be either stolen or bought, then melted down to create more necessary items. Inventions involving metal were ripped apart to use the materials for construction. Resources like coal and natural gases became exceedingly rare, as well; even family members would steal from each other to sell their resources for profit. Much of the discoveries and inventions of this time were lost. The spirit-forms became even more present, showing themselves among every man, woman, and child. The entire realm was in a panic, as the silent question of 'What now?' rang throughout the world. It was in this terrible time that perhaps the greatest discovery of all took place.

One man, his last name and accomplishment the only thing to remember him by, was able to ignore the panic of his time. He was able to discover that the spirit-forms that hovered beside every human were made of a substance called Magika. This substance was present in every natural material in the world, and could be manipulated. He spent three years exploring this concept, largely unknown to anyone. Until, finally, he discovered the secret of the spirit-forms, creatures that he called Daemons. In the process, he was killed, but the gift he gave humanity was well worth the price.

Suddenly, all the spirit-forms of the humans began to change. They became animals, animals that were the soul of each human manifested. Each human, though surprised by this new development, instantly felt at ease. These new forms gave them security, like there was something in this world that did not mean any of them harm. A group managed to enter the discoverer’s home, and found the notes of his discoveries. They saw one word, among all the others; Daemon. As the old man had come up with this term, they decided to call their soul manifestations Daemons in his honor. However, the rest of the notes have been lost, either burned or disappeared. They are not needed to know the result of the man’s discovery. The panic ceased instantly. Neighbors were no longer afraid of each other. Daemons calmed each human, allowing them to think of what they needed to do, and do it. Humanity learned.

After the panic finally stopped, a school was built, the first of its kind. Its purpose was to help others realise what form their Daemon truly was; to build a bond with that Daemon. It was built in the exact place where the man who opened the gateway to Daemons, gave them their name, made his incredible discovery. And it was named after him, as well; Jaradin. Soon, students were flocking to the school, not only to learn the usual subjects from the realm’s best teachers, but to find a true bond with their Daemon. Eventually, more of these schools popped up in the most populated places, but Jaradin was, and has always been, the largest, oldest, and best.

It is now the 19th century. Tarallus has been restored to peace, and humans have learned how to make what was once metal out of other materials. Now that schools have been founded and the realm calmed, the age of discovery has begun, and humans try to create the inventions and find the things that they once knew all over again."

Daemons

Daemons. Not your average fiery minion of hell, but something a whole lot more special. A unique piece of yourself, your Daemon is a manifestation of the soul that resides within your heart, an animal form that explains to those that see it exactly what you are all about. The purpose of a daemon's settled form is to reflect the personality you've settled into and will likely have for the rest of your life. Not your hobbies, interests, and favourites, because those often change, but who you are deep down, and who others see. The form will often be able to represent everything from your temperament, way of dealing with new situations, work habits, speech, odd quirks, level of sociability; the list goes on.

In short, the form is your perfect match.

At the initial stages of life, we are unaware of our Daemon, for they are completely 'unsettled', and as such, have no tangible form in which to show themselves. As we age, we become aware of a presence in our mind that to begin with, we believe is just ourself we are talking to. Ever experience a conversation in your head? Asking yourself, 'Did I do good here?' and hearing, in the back of your mind 'Yeah, I think it was a good effort!', or when feeling down, the voice that says 'You can do this! Just do what you have to!'. When so angry and annoyed, the voice that says 'Calm down, think this through.'. As we age, we begin to realise that this voice must embody something, and it is then that the Daemon will begin to realise itself.

It is often seen that people that find their Daemon have often gone through a great trauma or tragedy, in which the comfort given to and by themselves seems to hold some sort of form. It is in that moment that we may initially glimpse the animal that embodies our soul. The Soul's Manifestation. As we become accustomed to this presence, we may try to figure out what this thing is that is glimpsed from the corner of the eye, a kind of animal that is constantly with you. You may not always know what animal it is, and sometimes you may chose an animal you know, but it never seems to fit just right, and this is how your Daemon starts to become tangible and solid.

Through talking and interacting with this inner voice, this Daemon, it is possible to project it forth, bring life to it. At its first, initial conceptions, the Daemon is always of a natural look, from its colour to the number of limbs it has. Daemons are animal manifestations of your soul, not a fursona and as such, much careful searching and work is needed to fully recognise this is the case, and to reveal to yourself and your Daemon, its true form. From here, it may change slightly to fully fit with the personality it embodies, but always stays within the parameters of its initial unsettled forms ie. if the unsettled forms were generally prey or predator, avian or mammal, they will tend to stick to these 'parameters'.

To give you an example, though I am still not fully aware of my own, I know his name is Malhyanth (funny that I created the name to have as a screen name, only to realise it is the name of my Daemon) and that he is generally a small creature, usually a rabbit or a domestic cat. At one time he was avian, but it didn't seem to work. He is also black and white, and that is one thing that I have always known. Still unsettled, we are still working together to realise his true form.

Some other facts associated with Daemons is that they are generally of the opposite gender to their Human. Though Daemons do not explicitly have a 'sex', they lean toward a feminine or masculine personality, which is usually the opposite of the human. They are usually viewed as androgenous, with no outward sign of sexuality. Daemons that are of the same sex as their Human often mean that their human is homosexual.

It is also noted that Daemons have very elaborate, impressive names, but are often shortened to a more loving, companionable nickname by their Human. Daemons names are never ordinary names, such as Sam, Kate, Mary or Steve. They are very formal and elaborate, often not being of a language, but a mix of syllables and sounds that make a name. To give an example, my Daemon's name, Malhyanth, is often shortened, lovingly, to Mal, Hyanth or Malhy, not only by myself, but many.

Daemon Stages

Daemling



A Daemon that is newly discovered, only recently coming into knowledge by the Human it embodies, usually by accident when a great emotional trauma triggers a need in the Human for something to comfort them, something truly personal. Their form is not completely discovered, and can be a little haphazard with strange mixings of different creatures in their form as they constantly shift. They are generally concealed by the mind of the Human who's soul they embody, and thus, at this stage, are very fragile, not really interacting with the Human past general flickers of mind contact. Their image will be a simple one, a sort of totem image, or abstract image, of a strange cross of animals that could embody the Human's soul and personality in a generalised kind of way.



Settler



A Daemon that is now considered partially settled. This stage is a bit of a mixed bag, as this stage may go on to be the fully fledged Daemon, or may change a number of times before Daemon and Human are happy that the Daemon is indeed the animal that is currently exhibited. Their form is kind of see-through, not fully tangible, and if looked directly upon, may appear as simply a fuzzy looking patch in the area next to the Human, where a bit of colour may be seen. They have developed more of a personality and life, and are better able to interact with the Human who's soul they embody, and may take more active roles in decision making with their Human counterpart. They will be there to comfort and love, scold and direct their human, but are still not fully 'there'. They are not physical yet, and still can flicker between forms. The form shown however, is the one that the will take for the majority of their time at this stage.

This stage will be pretty important as to what your Daemon will look like at its full maturation, and this stage may be repeated up to FIVE times if necessary. The RP that is included in this stage will be closely judged when the time comes to apply for the next stage, and should your application be decided as incomplete, or in need of work, you will be given a new Daemon form that reflects the work achieved in the past, but which now leads you on to greater personal discovery. Only when Artist and Judge(s) alike believe that you fully grasp the Daemon in your control, will you go on to the next stage.



True Form



The manifestation of your hard work, and the (current) last stage. Your Daemon has become a physical embodiment of your soul and personality, and are now able to be seen more tangibly. At times they may be less physical, when you feel they are not as needed as at other times, but always they are there, in the background, often glimpsed in the corner of your eye, watching over your actions, giving you the necessary communication in your mind that leads to creativity and action.

This is by no means the last stage of your Daemon's life span. They will age with you, develop with you, and through intensive RP, you can gain an extra stage that will help reveal to you the truest form of your Daemon; the true, Inner Manifestation.



Inner Manifestation



The complete, ultimate form of your Daemon; its Inner Manifestation. At this point they become completely physical and separate to you, but gain immense auras of magical power that they glow with strange runes and markings that surround their very essence. They are able to travel further away from you, they can perform complex magical tasks, and even float, should they so wish! At this stage, nothing is impossible. They are the true manifestation of your full potential, and can be be of any animal form, with as many strange and wonderful colours as are deemed necessary to exhibit your personality and tastes.

Generally they keep the same animal stage as the last one, but sometimes they may change a little, ie. become a hare instead of a rabbit, become a german shepherd instead of a jack russell. Very small changes, but tangible changes that make sense to the Human and Daemon.

There are a number of ways you can gain access to the community here at 'Souls Manifest'. Flatsales and Contests are the most accessible ways, then, for the richer Gaian, Auctions and Customs. There are also free games that can result in a Daemon and Human for you to play. This is the form that anyone that wins, or wishes to win, a Daemon has to fill out. Sometimes it is asked for BEFORE a sale takes place, sometimes AFTER. Make sure you are sure which it is that is happening in the sale you are taking part in.

General Rules

01 - When quiet is asked for, please respect this and be silent. This means that no one gets startled into a false start. Those that cause a false start will be disqualified and could even be grey/black-listed.

Types of Flatsale

Speed
Speed flatsales, though not the most common of the FS types, is the easiest of the ways to get your hands on a Daemon from 'Souls Manifest'. These will ask for you to fill out the form and then post it after a 'GO' is issued. The first participants to post, up to the number of Daemons being offered, will win their Daemon.

RP Flatsale
RP flatsales are one of the most common ways to get a Daemon. Run in a similar style to a Flaffle, an RP FS asks for people that wish to participate to post the form in a designated time limit, and then, once that is over (generally an hour), participants will then be given the RP prompt to answer. After a certain time period (usually from 48hrs to 1 week) the sale will be closed and the entries from those that were admitted entrance will be judged. Those that missed the form-posting, but still posted an entry will be ignored and told to either delete or change their posts. Once this time period is over, a number of winning posts will be chosen and these will win their Daemons.

Flaffle
Flaffles are run as a strange hybrid of a raffle and a speed FS. Initially, to the 'GO', participants post their forms to take part. After the designated time (generally an hour) has passed, the participants that got their names in on time will be entered into a raffle, and a number of names will be drawn, depending on the number of Daemons being offered.

General Rules

01 - DO NOT BID MONEY YOU DO NOT HAVE!! This is extremely important, for if you win, yet don't have the money to pay for the Daemon, you will be instantly black-listed. This is extremely unfair to the other patrons participating, and will not be tolerated.
02- Do not guilt those bidding against you. To guilt-trip someone out of bidding on a pet because this or that has happened in your life and you deserve the pet more just doesn't wash, and is very unsportsmen-like.
03 - No co-owning. You can help someone by adding to their bids, but that does not entitle you to part-ownership. It was just a very nice thing you did.
04 - Items can be pledged, but will be taken at lowest TekTek price for that day. If you think it deserves to be more, sell the item and pledge the pure. No common shop items, unless over 10k.
05 - Interest must be shown at least 2 days prior to the auction in the main thread. This is an anti-snipe measure, so people don't come in and take a pet, only to disappear without a trace.
06 - A 10 minute anti-snipe guard will be put in place on auctions to stop someone jumping in with last-minute bids. After each new bid after the snipe-guard time, 10 more minutes will be added till there is no other entry for 10 minutes.
07 - Tally up your own totals in the bidding post.

Again, AWAIT CONFIRMATION OF YOUR WINNING before placing your trade. This is again to save embarrassment. You will have 48 hours to send the trade. If it is not sent in this time frame, the next person in line on the bidding will win instead. We have lives outside of Gaia, even if you don't, and we are working on getting your Daemon to look as perfect as you expect it to be, so just don't go on. Repeat offenders WILL be black-listed.
04 - Make sure you have the money to pay for your Daemon. Do not claim a custom if you can't afford it!

Human Character Creation

Within this story, Humans play an integral part. Though you may not (currently) be able to get art of your Human, they are still there, and are very important for the creation of your Daemon. They are the personality and even the appearance basis of your Daemon. Before you can own a Daemon, you have to have created a Human to be the manifested. Humans are also important for the Breeding process of Daemons, for Daemons only breed when their Humans are in love, and then the process of Daemon manifestation will start all over again with the child of the two Humans.



If you would like to have your form all ready and filled in, then feel free to! It is the same one as that above, in the Availability post, but here it is again for you, with a little deeper explanation about parts of it below.

Personal Information

This information gives me a little bit of detail about you, the player. Things such as Timezone can be important, especially when creating Inner Manifestation tasks. It also helps others to know the most likely times to catch you online to RP.

Character Information

Name - This is the name of your Human, and can include the meaning, their nicknames, and any other naming information you feel you should give. Try to give a first and surname.
Age - The general age for Manifestation in this story is 15-21. If you are creating a character to play once you get your Daemon, try to make the age around this. If creating a Daeling, it should be younger, or around the same age, if there is a reason why they've not needed to Manifest yet.
Appearance - Try to be as detailed as you can! This will help people who want to RP with your character get a feel for their appearance before RPing, and also provides us a good idea of what your character looks like. Individual differences can lead to a natural difference in your pet, especially if it unique to your character, or a bit of a wild look, like a mohawk, or bright green hair! It may also be used in the future to provide you with artwork of your Human character!
Personality - Describe EVERYTHING you can about your Human's personality. Querks and traits, likes and dislikes, general personality. EVERYTHING. It gives us a greater feel for your character, and helps us direct you if you should need it, and can also assist us in the judging of your RPs and entries.
Keywords - These are just general things that can be linked to your Human, and will help the Artist draw your Daemon appropriately.
History - Who are you and where do you come from? This bit is all about how you ended up in the School. It might even go into a little detail of the traumatic occurance that started the Manifesting. It can be kept reasonably brief.



Daelings

Daelings are optional for people that want to RP and be a part of the shop, but don't yet have a Daemon to RP with. 'Daeling' is the term given to those that do not yet see any part of their Daemon, have not even registered its existance yet. Daemons of other people may be able to feel the presence of a Daeling's Daemon, but will not be able to tell what animal they are, and most of the time, cannot speak to the non-manifested Daemon, as they are just as unaware of themselves as the Daeling is. Daelings are not treated any differently to those with Daemons, they are just 'Dae-less', as some Humans will refer to it as.

Jaradin college is broken up into four main 'wings'; the North Wing, the East Wing, the South Wing and the West Wing, all named thus in conjunction to their position in relation to the famous Jaradin Fountain in the large courtyard contained within the center of these immense buildings.

Below is a run down of each area, and exactly how they are set up.

North Wing

The grand Entrance Building. All people entering Jaradin will do so through its North Wing. Elaborate entrance halls, grand staircases and even a chandelier or three, this building is possibly the most prestigious of all the four Wings. It holds all the offices of the Teachers, including Ducan Haylen's, as well as his own private library, come study, where he worked on all his studies into Magika and its effects on Daemons. This library holds many of the writings of the famous Jaradin himself.

Also in this building are large conference rooms which are used by some classes for examinations and presentations. Many have a light-box projector, a large screen and plenty of seating for use in these circumstances. Also in the North Wing are the guest quarters and Scholar rooms. These are all situated on the top, fifth floor, and are not to be entered by students. Students found wondering the extravagant halls of the North Wing are clearly up to mischief, and thus, tend to be punished quite severely if found doing so - after all, all of the prized possessions of Jaradin and many valuable items can be found in this building, all of such value to Duncan Haylen, he would likely be VERY severe in punishment if anyone was found tampering with them.

East Wing and Eastern Outbuildings

These buildings are all used for classes and extracurricular activities. Each teacher will have a mini-office in these buildings, near their selected classroom. There are only 3 floors to this Wing, unlike everywhere else which has 5. The outbuildings of this Wing are home to the animals of Jaradin College; horses and other livestock that may be expected, but also some of the menagerie of Colonel Jim Callahan. Some very exotic, very unusual, and sometimes very poisonous beasts can be found in one large block of Outbuildings that Duncan Haylen permitted to be built up for just Colonel Callahan's classes.

Farmhands in the employ of Jaradin College tend to the farm animals, with the general guidance of Colonel Callahan when he feels like 'checking up on it'. Students are invited to learn to ride, care for and train with the livestock, as well as be taught their trading value, should the need ever arise in their future to require such information. With the lack of monetary item as it is, information like this is a good learning resource for future living.

To RP in this area, Teachers will have their own specific classrooms set up in the Jaradin College area. They will also have their Northern Wing offices set up, should you wish to RP with them there. To find this area, seek out the Guild.

South Wing

The South Wing is a most impressive building. 5 floors tall, 3 of which are devoted to the library! Masses of books and papers and journals line shelf after shelf after shelf, wall to wall, ceiling to floor. The Main Jaradin Library is situation on the top 3 floors of this Wing, the bottom two being the homes of the servants and workers of Jaradin. These are also open, and many of the servants love a visit from the more helpful of the students. Here, all manner of tasks are carried out; laundry and the likes for all members of the Jaradin College register.

West Wing

The dormitories. 4 floors of 8 dorms, all able to hold 6 children each in three separate bedrooms. Also within these dormitories is the large scale, whole floor cafeteria, taking up the whole of the ground floor of the West Wing. It is in this building that the Winter Ball occurs, and is also where the majority of the food is processed for sending out to teachers, scholors, scouts and students alike. Its massive kitchen takes up a third of the floor, the hall taking up the rest. Students are allowed to traverse this whole building as they please, so long as they are aware of others and conscientious to others' desires for privacy. Each dorm bedroom has a sliding partition to make this possible.

How Lessons Will Run

Being a school means that lessons are extremely important in the everyday running of the schooling system here at Jaradin. Taken in the East Wing and corresponding outbuildings, the lessons will run in two ways; teacher arranged, which are large scale lessons that all students MUST attend and pass if they are to continue on to the next stage of their studies, and student arranged, where students can request lessons that they would like extra help on before they submit the previous lessons' worksheet, and also lessons that MUST be arranged should a student fail their last lesson worksheet. All teacher arranged lessons will be announced by the respective teachers on the Notice Board, but student arranged lessons must be submitted to the teacher whilst they are in their office.

A Procedure Run-through

Ok, so you understand that lessons come in two varieties; mandatory Teacher Arranged Lessons (TALs) and self-arranged Student Arranged Lessons (SALs), that can be voluntary or mandatory, depending on your performance within the TALs. The following will explain the ways in which you sign up for these Lesson RPs.

Teacher Arranged Lessons (TALs)

Each teacher has an Office and a Classroom; it is wise for students to read up on the specific rules of the Teachers in these two places. The Office of the Teachers' are a place for them to log their lessons, and also the Worksheets that students must complete and submit before a certain deadline (generally before the next lesson that may be arranged by the Teacher). The Office also works as an ASK-RP, where you can request an IC-RP that requests help from your teacher (the IC-RP for SALs, however, will be spoken about more below), though this is not necessary if you do not feel the need to do so, as OOC requests are also permitted, though, again, certain Teachers may have rules that stipulate you must go through an IC request. Check to make sure this is or is not the case in the Office of the Teacher you wish to seek help from.

The Classroom is a large ORP that will be open to those that have signed up to the specific class that is on offer. Generally, these TALs will be mandatory by students. Some teachers may have age restrictions on their lessons, and only students of that age-group may participate, so again, check the Classroom information for that specific lesson before you register for it and join.

To start a TAL, there is a specific procedure both Teachers and Students must go through:

1. Teachers make a Guild Announcement, proclaiming the Lesson Brief, how the RP will be run, and the starting date.
2. Students must then sign up for the RP by PMing the Teacher, who will make a list of the students participating in their Classroom.
3. The Teacher will make the starting post in the Classroom, and proclaim a date OOCly that will explain the time frame in which all students must have made their first post. This will generally be a 24-48 hour period. Lateness will be disciplined on a case-by-case situation by the Teacher.
4. Once all students that are participating have made their entrance post, the Teacher will run through the aims of the lesson RP, and start the lecture. Students will be permitted to add their questions and, if asked questions by their teacher, responses. Any group work will also be given adequate time to complete.
5. At the end of the RP, the Teacher will provide a Worksheet that MUST be completed by the deadline set by them. Each student must complete the Worksheet and send it by PM to the Teacher for assessment. Failure to do so will be an automatic Fail, and you will not be able to progress until that Worksheet receives a Pass.
6. The Teacher will announce the Pass and Fail grades of the students in a Guild Announcement. Those that Passed will be free until the next lesson. Those that Failed, must arrange to see their Teacher using a SAL.

Student Arranged Lessons (SALs)

As mentioned before, the students are permitted to arrange their own out-of-class help by entering a request to their Teacher through their Office. OOC requests may also be permitted, if the Teacher in question accepts them. These one-on-one sessions will run just like the above ones, however, they will not be in a Classroom thread, but a PRP set up in the same forum. The way it is run is very similar, but the student that may not be understanding the work will be able to ask more questions and generally be given a chance to understand the Worksheet better. They will then repeat the Worksheet in that session and be given their Pass or Fail straight away. Some Teachers may provide slightly altered versions of the Worksheet to prevent the work being too easy, but that is decided by the Teachers themselves.

Discipline

Tarallus is set in the 18th Century, and as such, physical punishment is not unheard of. A ruler or a cane across the back of the hands or legs, a chalk thrown if you are caught talking, these things will be present in the Lessons if caught misbehaving. However, some misdemeanours' will result in a visit to Head Master Haylen's Office. When you get to this stage, you know you have pushed the boundaries too far. Haylen is not a forgiving man, but he is fair. To be sent to his office, your offence is likely to have been an insult to the Teacher in question, a fight that got out of hand with another student, repeated cheating or copying within tests and classwork or repeated tardiness or no-showing. Haylen's punishments, though never usually physical, will result in you having to work within his office until you are deemed to have understood your offence, or else, possible seclusion from all activities, put into a dorm room alone and given little to no chance to talk with friends or others you may have met with.

Malhyanth - Creator, Owner, Main Artist and PPC Owner

Hello and welcome to Souls Manifest. I am the creator of this shop, from conception through to creation, I'm the one you need to come to about any matter you have with the shop, pets and general issues. I am the main user of the Mule, so if you see it wandering around aimlessly, its probably me ^^

I'm 20, birthday being 30th August, and I've been drawing since I could hold a pencil! I have only recently read the Dark Materials trilogy, only recently deciding to buy and read them. I fell in love. Instantly. A beautifully written selection, with a powerful plot and some stunning theories being created, I couldn't help but fall in love with Lyra, Iorek and Will. They created their world around me, and I was hooked! After the dramatic climax of the books, I couldn't help but cry for Will and Lyra, and against the word of a close friend who told me the ending was devastatingly crap, I had to disagree and say it was the perfect ending for the series.

Thus came my search for a Dark Materials shop. I have to admit, I was disappointed at the lack of identification with the true meaning of a Daemon - a creature that is yourself; your soul by your side as a constant, physical being. The shops I found did not allow the patrons to take control of their Daemon; did not allow for total and complete customisation.

My quest began.

I decided, as soon I saw the lack of truly awesome RP based Daemon shops, that I would make one. At the time, I did not have the ability, nor the means. Last year, I got my Tablet, and started practicing my digital art, drawing all manner of animals to get to my best. I worked hard until I thought, maybe, I could make the Daemons I so wanted to find on Gaia. I tentatively mentioned my ideas to close friends, and received an amazing confirmation that such a shop was sorely desired. I decided to take the plunge and created my draft of Souls Manifest. It was a hit, though only with a few, fleeting interested patrons. I hope they have stayed to see the full fruition of Souls Manifest.

Time is moving fast, and Souls is growing well. Now with many PPCs and even more Daemons out, due to the success of White Ribbon and the Grand Opening, I can only hope that people continue to come in and support Souls as it grows.

Navywolf - Co-owner, Head RP Manager/RP Judge and PPC Owner

Hey there, and welcome to Souls Manifest! I'm Navywolf, but feel free to call me Navy; most people do. As my title states, I am the Head RP Manager of Souls Manifest, as well as Head RP Judge. What does that mean to you? Basically, though Mal created the backbone of the realm of Tarallus, I fleshed it out. I'll be helping dictate the various metaplots we will have going on (one of which will be coming out soon), as well as helping to decide whether or not your Daemon will proceed to the next stage. Simply put, I'm the story-keeper over here. If you ever have any questions about the world, like whether a certain animal would be in it, or if this contraption is plausible, I'm likely your best bet for answering said question. Make sure to let me know on my main account; I'm not usually on the mule except for making and editing info threads.

I came on board with Mal and Lilly_Foxx a little late in the game, the actual shop thread having been set up already and many things in place. Malhyanth asked me if I would like to take on the job of Head RP Manager here, and of course I accepted. I've enjoyed creating new realms and the details that go with them, so this was just about my dream job. A few overview PMs later, and I was off and forming the world.

Even though for now I have gotten much of the information up, I am still incredibly excited about this whole project, and can't wait to help members start to find their Daemons. I hope you guys will have as wonderful of a time here as I will!

Hi, and welcome to Souls Manifest! My name is Mriae (but you can call me Mri; it's shorter, and easier to say), and if you've hung around the shop a bit, you might have seen me popping up every once and a while! I'm a regular here, and am the person behind the characters of Beatrice, Azrael and most recently the PPC Philippe Garnier!

I came here to Souls not long after it opened. I remember seeing it in the beginning stages while the basic information was being posted and thinking, 'Hey, this is going to be a neat shop!' So I stuck around. The work of Pullman in His Dark Materials is wonderful, and it takes us into a universe that thousands from all over the world enjoy. Mal and the other staff have done a great job in paying homage to the series by creating this shop, so I hope you will stick around. If you do - I promise - you will enjoy yourself. It's a lot of fun!

'Ello, 'ello! Welcome to Souls Manifest, one of the most awesome little shops this corner of Gaia! My name is Aurrie Beaues, often called Aurrie for short, and I tend to float around the thread as often as possible, so your bound to see me here and there.

The shop is fairly new, but it's chalk full of wonderful people and has a warm atmosphere, so I know you'll like it! In my opinion, it also accurately represents Pullman's world, the staff does an awesome job, and I just love it!

I started reading the books, I think, back in elementary school. Loooong time ago. I am so going into my third year of college. Anyways, I've been smitten with them ever since and rented them so often from the library, growing up, that my mother finally got me the box set so I could let other kids read them. xD

Scaramouche Fandango - PPC Owner and Progression Judge

Hey there! I'm Scaramouche Fandango, though most call me Scara or Mouche. I currently play the student Eglantine Sangreal and everybody's favorite biology teacher, Jim Callahan. (And if he's not your favorite yet, take his Zoology class!) I first found Pullman's books when I was in fifth grade and was smitten with the world. The idea of having what seemed to me to be a hybrid of a pet, teddy bear, and shoulder angel seemed just plain awesome, and I really envied Lyra for getting to run around like a madman and have adventures. I came to the Souls shop during the Grand Opening Event and have been a regular ever since. The shop's environment is really nice, and the regulars and staff are all great, and I love being part of a world-building experience! Hey guys, I'm Lunaur and I currently play the students Andre and Annabelle, as well as the math teacher Sawyer. Watch out when you take her class, haha, she might seen evil but I assure you its just the inherent evil of the subject she is a nice lady!! As for me, I am a West Coast girl currently in the second year of my University. I'm majoring in Marine biology and hoping that I graduate after this economic crisis in the US ends xD. I first read the Dark Materials series in my freshman year of high school and completely fell in love with the idea of having a Daemon and because of it have gone through different ways of finding animal totems and all that spiritual stuff. haha it really was a life changing experience for me and I'm happier for it. I found this shop by stalking Mal (xD haha!) and fell in love once again with the concept. Thus I am here and what keeps me here is the amazing people that seem to be drawn to the shop and the great attitude that everyone has here. I hope this shop grows and keeps on being awesome!

Events & Guilds

The resulting Guild after White Ribbon, where all manner of shops can unite and get to know each other, strike up friendships and affiliates, and where new, potential shop creators can go to get some good advice on how to get the most out of the experience!


The White Ribbon Event is an event that is calling for all Breedables artists to unite against Art Theft after a large expose of some dreadful art theft of so many Gaia B/C shops. Go there and show your support. Souls Manifest has a booth in the guild and has a Daemon up for grabs in the 3rd week Theme Saturday Raffle! - NOW OVER

Other HDM Shops

A HDM shop that draws the humans as well as the Daemons. A good place to go if that really interests you. The story is also based on a parallel realm, however, it is known by the people of Cittagaze. Though the art is not always exceptionally realistic, it has a lively RP community and is worth a look if you are interested.


A shop with roots in HDM, with other elements thrown in for luck, this is a good shop to check out!

General B/C Shops

Aershaa is a supurb shop where I am also a Guest Colourist, as well as a main antagonist with a Pack of my own creation. The art is amazing, and the RP community thriving. It is a great place to meet new people and to really get into the RP spirit. The Aershaa themselves come in 9 different varieties, all with distinctive lineart. All from the exceptionally talented mind and pen of Stryding Soul.


A great up and coming shop that you should definitely check out! Very unusual and unique pets are up for grabs here, with beautiful templates and colouring ^^


A fanastic shop run by the amazing Felmino. She is a great person, and devoted to her breedables and the union of the breedables forum! Her shop, Aerithe, features amazingly drawn Kirin of a realism style, and a healthy RP community! It is strongly urged that you check out this great shop!


Possibly the CUTEST little shop in existence! Based indirectly around faildogs and lolcats, I believe, the shop centers on a group of azn dogs and bunni's that have a love of cheeseburgers! All the art is unique and beautifully crafted! Very amusing and cute little place ^^


An up-and-coming shop run by Navywolf, focusing on a species of wolf-like creature that act like humans, and that dwell in a mythical world. It has art of a realistic style, and plenty of opportunities for one to contribute!
