Basic Description

The Ukuucha'Wafalme believe in one male, a Pad, taking care of a group of females, the harem.

Please read over the pride's information and ask questions if you need to before entering this contest. The pride has very specific rules and all the lions being contested here are to stay in the pride as members.

- Read EVERYTHING carefully, read it twice if you need to! XD Please!

- Don't put down anyone's entry, including your own (After all if you don't think it's good enough, then why should we?)

- You must reply to a minimum of one prompt, and you are welcome to reply to more than one/make a combination. ^.^ (Applying to 2+ does not give you an extra advantage)

- Please make responses at least 250 words in length. There's no maximum, but if we get bored/tired of reading... It won't be in your favor to write a novel. XD;

- PLEASE be literate and understand that this is a RP contest and we expect you to RP these characters.

- So that we know you read the rules, please put "King of kings" in white font in your response.

- So I know that you have read up on the pride, please answer the following questions in white font in your post.

The Lost Sister


Daughter of the former sultan, sister to a vizier, and half sister to the current sultan, this lovely lady was a treasured gift to the elderly and retired former vizier. He doted upon her and they shared a special bond as friends but their age difference left little room for passion or a love bond to form beyond that. The old vizier took her out one fine day for a nice vacation and hunt in the lands far beyond those of the pride. However on their slow return home the old vizier fell ill and they spent many weeks trying to get him to recover. Finally he passed on and the lone beybanu had to continue back home alone, she is close to her pride now and eager to be back among friends and family...little does she know how much has changed.

Prompt#1

When you left, you had no idea how much would change, your father was still Sultan, still alive. Many males had left on their quests and few had returned leaving the pride lacking in numbers. Now upon your return you find your father is dead, your mother too has passed, your brother is Vizier, and your half brother is Sultan. You are a very valuable female unclaimed, what are your thoughts on the pride now, your hopes, and fears?

Prompt#2

You have traveled through the rogue lands alone, something that few banu have ever done, how did it make you feel being alone? Did you enjoy your solitude or would you have been happier with a Pad to help you, lead you? You were a beybanu for so long, and you've never really had a chance to fall in love, now that your under your half brothers harem will you ask him to place you with a certain kind of pad? Do you even dare ask, knowing that he might have some plan of who you should go to?

The Desperate Pad

This eager male set out many suns ago on his quest to capture a female, however mishap after mishap, and lost wanderings left the search fruitless. He is desperate to get back home, and at long last he has found and claimed a female of his own. Now an adult he too is making his way quickly back to the pride triumphant.

* Note - The Desperate Pad will be capturing, Talencia's Furaha'ini. Whether she is his Banu or Beybanu will be up to the winner and her.

Prompt#1

You've been away from the pride quite a while, most males return fairly quickly, or never return at all. Do you think you might meet some ridicule for having taken so long in your quest? Your old childhood friends are all grown up and either important Pads, or Vizier's, and even your old wrestling buddy Aali is now Sultan! Do you think you can aspire to reach some better status then a pad with one banu?

Prompt#2

It took you quite a while, but at last a prized female is yours! How did you capture her, and now that she is yours, will you explain about the pride to her, or let her figure things out later on? Are you proud of yourself, or just feeling guilty it took so long? Do you like your new banu, think she's pretty? Will you be content with her for a while, or are you eager to add another and another to your harem?

((*Note! - Here is Furaha'ini's Info:
Only just barely grown herself, she is gentle-hearted, desires to be a mother, and has the knack of always seeing the bright side of things. She laughs often and much, and seeks to bring light and laughter to others lives as well. No matter how dire the situation, Fura can find something positive to point out.

She was born to a rogue mother (no known father), who was bitter and angry about her lot in life, how tough things were, etc. Fura, in an attempt to balance the sheer weight of negativity her mother exuded, became the eternal optimitst. Her sour mother was not impressed, and grew more and more exasperated with her sunshiny daughter as she grew. She finally ordered her daughter to leave when she was old enough to fend for herself, waspishly telling Fura she did not want to ever see her again. Fura, being who she is, while being saddened by seperation from her mother, said that without that happening, she never would have found this pad and the happiness she hopes await her in the Ukuucha'Wafalme. ))

Fura may be MINIMALLY used in your entry. It should go without saying that you must keep her as true to her character as you can manage.

The Blind Banu

This banu was once a kajira, she and her sister were captured by the pride together and being rebellious they were labeled kajira. Slowly however she began to find the ways of the pride idyllic and pleasant, until finally one day she confided to her sister she wished to become a banu. For actions no one knows her sister then proceeded to viciously attack her and left her scarred and her eyes completely blinded. Her dream of becoming a banu it seemed would die there, for what male could want or have use for a banu that was totally blind? Yet a compassionate pad took her in for her loyalty and desire to serve. Now she must learn to cope with her life, and understand her sisters actions.

Prompt#1

You and your sister had always been inseperable, your adored one another, and you shared a very happy life. How do you feel knowing you have lost your sight to the very one who you trusted and loved most of all? Do you hate your sister now, desire revenge, or perhaps just feel sorry for her?

Prompt#2

The Compassionate Pad has taken you in despite the fact that you are totally blind, what role do you think you'll be able to serve in a harem now? Your a banu, and that was your desire, but your sister is still a kajira, how does that make you feel? How will you feel towards the other banu your pad has brought, or towards any others he may bring? Jealous of their sight, or content just to belong despite the lack of your own?

The Kajira

This Kajira is hanging perilously close to a death sentence for her actions, she has blinded her sister, and no one is really sure why. Kajira are passed around from male to male, and this one is under close watch lest she lash out again and harm some innocent banu or cub.

* IMPORTANT NOTE - This character (pending on her personality etc) may eventually die, if you would not be comfortable with her death then please do not try for her.

Prompt#1

You and your sister have been together so long, always so close, yet you've blinded her with your own claws, Why? How do you feel about her now that she is a banu and you still a kajira? How do you feel towards the males, the other females, and the cubs of this pride?

Prompt#2

You know how close you are to a death sentence, infact you'll soon be taken to the sultan is what you've heard. The other males watch you with narrowed eyes all the time, even the young ones. How do you feel about death, would it be a release from this pride, or would you try your best to re-conform and avoid it? Escape has already proved nearly impossible, but would you try and try again despite the harsh punishment, or resign yourself?

The Compassionate Pad

This pad once had three lovely banu each more skilled then the last, however for reasons unknown they each died in childbirth taking the cubs lives with their own. Now starting over he has welcomed a blind banu into his harem, yet knowing that one blinded banu was not enough he left her in the care of his fellow pads and set out to capture another female. He has returned to the pride with another banu and is determined to get his life back on track and forget about the past.

*Note - The Compassionate Pad will be capturing, Reeshie Hack's Jivutatia. He will also have taken charge of The Blind Banu. Their positions can be decided between those owners.

Prompt#1

You took in the blinded kajira and made her a banu, most kajira never make it into a harem proper, why did you take her in? What position do you think a blind banu could fullfill, what position will you give her? Are you worried that she may not be cut out to be a banu, or perfect sure that she'll be loyal and true?

Prompt#2

Your newest female is Jivu, she's quite spunky, how does her personality make you feel? Amused, angry, perplexed? You once had three seemingly perfect banu, quiet and obedient, now you have one mouthy female, and one blinded former kajira, do you think you'll be happy again, or maybe happier? Will you tell your new females what happened to your harem before? Are you afraid to try and have cubs to avoid disaster again, or eager to try again and hopeful?

((*Note! - Here is Jivutatia's Info:
Jivu's a daddy's girl, born to two rogues of polar opposite personalities. She's snarky and sarcastic and poked at her siblings as a cub and other animals that crossed her path in order to show her father that she was a good little fighter.
Because of her sweet mother's influence, she also has something of a flip-flop personality, though only when she is alone with certain creatures close to her, such as her mother or her only sister. She isn't sweet, per se, but she is understanding, listens, and is much more passive.
She has a protective streak when it comes to family or things she considers as hers, as well as something of a "kind" part to her personality, but really only when she sees someone that is really having a time of things (She would watch out for the blind sister).

She honestly wouldn't care sharing a male with other females, but he needs to be one that can put up with her rather than change her. If she respects him, she'll stick by him.
The biggest problem is her pride. She sees herself as being an above-average lioness in mind and body, so she would hoped to be as high as possible in his harem. If his winner chooses another for his Beybanu, she may get sulky and yet try very hard to show that she is better suited to the position.

She also comes with a mild-mannered cobra, Mwandani whom Jivu raised from an egg, however Jivu is unaware of her friend's venom as Mwandani did her best to avoid biting others around her friend as Jivu's mother was slightly wary of snakes and may have driven Mwandani away.

Reeshie Hack

I agree with Tal.
Jivu can be used, but not a lot and stay true to her character.

Important Things to Make Note of

- Please understand that THEY WILL NOT leave the pride. They are main characters in the pride, and should have no intentions of leaving for longer than hunting or raiding.

- It is tradition in the pride for names to be Arabic, Farsi/Persian, or Turkish. The only exceptions would be the Blind Banu and The Kajira as they were not born into the pride.

- The Desperate Pad will be capturing, Talencia's Furaha'ini. Whether she is his Banu or Beybanu will be up to the winner and her.

- The Compassionate Pad will be capturing, Reeshie Hack's Jivu. He will also have taken charge of The Blind Banu. Their positions can be decided between those owners.

- The Kajira may be subject to future plot death, if you would not agree with that, please refrain from entering for her.
