Hiatus 11/3/2016
His everyone, Owlsomniac here. As you've probably noticed, there hasn't really been much activity these last few months. I've been focusing on other pursuits, mostly IRL (new job, saving to move, etc). On gaia, I've been trying to focus more on my own personal project at Remnants.

This doesn't mean that Rammalin will stay quiet forever. It just means that, for right now, things are on a bit of a hold. How long the hiatus will last, exactly, I can't say. All I can tell you is that I do have hopes to bring it back sometime in the (hopefully not too distant) future.

In the meantime, you are more than welcome to continue RPing your pets here as you like, either in the main thread or in the designated area in the guild.

Staff -- if you're interested in keeping activity going via free events, please send me a PM and I'll give you further info on how to go about doing that.

General Rules

• Follow Gaia’s terms of service.

• Leave drama at the door. If you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything at all. Likewise, don’t post excessive pity-party information in the thread, take it to a personal message or hide it with a spoiler tag. If you need to talk, we are here for you, but some of us might be uncomfortable with a lot of private information.

• Please read the front page and our frequently asked questions along with associated guild information pages if you have any questions, only PM the mule if absolutely necessary.

• Do not PM staff about the shop, if you have a question, PM the mule, Rammalins Tales. We dont always have time to back read to find questions left in the thread.

• Do not steal any artwork from the shop. Whether it be graphics, pets, familiars, anything, all of it copyrighted to its creator and may not be reproduced elsewhere.

• No advertising, please. If you want to become an affiliate, check out the affiliate section for details.

• Do not beg, whine, or ask for free characters. If you are interested in becoming part of the shop and gaining a character get to know everyone and keep checking back. Eventually you will find yourself with your very own character to play.

• Rammalin’s Tales characters may not be resold for Gaia gold or offline currencies.

• Refrain from using post styles and quote towers in the thread, it clutters the page and has the potential to stretch it as well. Likewise, do not post moving pictures, “.gifs”, without first hiding them with a spoiler tag. Some users have slower internet.

• Save all images of your characters to your own servers.

• There will be no refunds given outside of Gaia’s breedables and changeables rules.

• Unless otherwise specifically specified, you can only win 1 flatsale/flaffle pet, 1 raffle pet, 1 freebie, 1 custom and 2 breedings a month.

• All persons attempting to participate in events within the shop must have an account with 1000 or more posts on it. If you are truly new and want to participate please PM us details. We are understanding.

Roleplaying Rules

• Follow the Daisy Code when RPing.

• This shop is not RP required; however it is strongly encouraged. There are major rewards for doing so such as the ability to collect items to cash in for edits and other exciting rewards in the shop.

• All formal roleplay must be done or logged in the guild to be counted for.

• Make sure you post in the correct subforums. Some areas are hostile and could potentially bring your character to harm for trespassing

• How can I get a character?
A: You can acquire a character either by: flatsales, raffles, auctions, customs, breedings or freebies.

• Do you have to have an official character to RP?
A: You don't need an official linearted character to RP, no. However, humans are not a large part of this world so we prefer if you take the persona of a Rammalin, perhaps one you are questing for!

• How many characters may I have?
A: As many as you wish.

• Can I co-own a character with my friend?
A: No you may not. It would complicate both roleplay and breeding.

• Are these RP required?
A: Nope, feel free to enjoy the shop as you will, be it a collector, a roleplayer or a combination of both!

• Are there naming restrictions?
A: We would prefer you to stick to a more fantasy style names such as Ophelia and Nav or perhaps something based on nature, for instance Lily of the Valley. Please refrain from using common English names when possible. We do not allow duplicate names.

• Do Unicorns have the ability to perform magic?
A: Yes they do! However your typical everyday unicorn only knows very basic and generic magic.

• I have a specific question that isn't here!
A: Send your question to the mule, Rammalins Tales, or quote the mule in thread. Please make sure to double check the thread before asking.

Flatsales will occur on a fairly regular basis. At the time of sale or when scheduled there will be additional rules to read about how we will run the flatsale.

• Corms/Cervidae are 100m each, or 150m if growing. Familiars are 50m each.
• Trades must be sent within 48 hours to the mule; otherwise the character will be placed for resale.
• You may only win one character per flatsale, unless stated otherwise.
• Do not edit or delete your post during a flatsale, this will result in immediate banning.
• Wait for the go post before posting. Jumping the gun will you disqualified from the flatsale.
• Make sure to familiarize yourself with the rules of the flatsale going on before trying for a character.

Auctions will happen randomly- sometimes through events, sometimes just for fun. Each character will have a different set of details to them, along with rules.

• Trades must be sent within 24 hours to the mule, otherwise the character will be awarded to the second highest bidder.
• You may only win one character per auction, unless stated otherwise.
• Do not edit or delete your bid, this will result in immediate banning.
• Do not boast about your funds. Nobody enjoys arrogance.
• Only pure gold, or cash shop items (totaling 1tril+), will be allowed in bidding.
• If you are bidding with items, you must total your bids. The value of all items are at 90% lowest market value. If you are unsure- ask someone, or sell it.
• You may only bid up to ten items in an auction.
• There will be a snipe guard in place for all auctions. If a person bids ten minutes before the auction ends (or below that time), ten minutes will be added to the bid time. So on and so forth, until one of the bidders back out. No new bidders will be allowed after overtime has started- only those that have previously bid.
• Do not bid what you do not have.

Raffles will happen randomly- sometimes at specified times, or just for fun. These will normally be the easiest way to obtain a character if you have poor internet, or can’t make a flatsale.

• Tickets are 1m gold each with a minimum purchase of 10.
• Additional tickets must be purchased in increments of 10.
• You may only order for yourself and five friends per post.
• Trades must be sent and completed 24 hours after ordering, or before the raffle ends. Otherwise, you forfeit your slot.
• Label your trades with "Raffle, page#". Any unmarked trades will be taken as donations.
• You may only win one character in a raffle.
• There is normally no limit to how many tickets you may buy for a raffle. Check the rules of that raffle to be certain. /list]







As it states, this section of the event is completely free to participate in! All information on how to receive the free character or gift will be listed in this section. Requirements will rotate and vary from contests, to roleplaying prompts, to "egg" hunts, questionnaires’, and so on. These can occur in other times, separate from events.

Pictured above is our standard cert used for all Unicorns and Cervidae!
Below we'll be explaining each aspect for those who are unfamiliar with what exactly the cert is displaying.

• Pet Name :: the name of your unicorn or cervidae will be on the left in bold gold lettering
  
  
• Owner Username :: this is the Gaia username of the person who owns the pet, on the right
  
  
• Zodiac Sign :: this is the glowing sign at the top of the cert. This sign determines the type of magic your pet will be able to use.
  
  
• Birthday :: this is the assigned birthday for the pet. For Gen 1's the owner may pick the date if they like. Breeding pets are always given the same birthday, which is the day they were posted for certing. This date determines the Zodiac Sign.
  
  
• Generation :: Marked as "Gen 1" above, this number will change if the pet is the product of a breeding. The higher the number, the more generations of ancestors they have in the shop.
  
  
• Gender :: the gender symbol is located beneath the Generation marker.
  
  
• Sire & Dam :: these names will appear beneath the shop name. If the pet is Gen 1, it will not appear.
  
  
• Colorist :: the name of the colorist who made your pet will appear on the bottom left of the cert in blue.
