The spooky season is upon us. October brings with it crisp, cool nights and Halloween frights! Welcome to the MLP Cauldron event!

For those of you who have been through this before, please pay careful attention because some things have changed from the last time we ran this event.

Rules

① - Follow the Gaia TOS & RaG.

② - Be polite and please don't flame others OR beg the colorists to make you a pony/open their slots/whatever.

③ - Before asking questions, please read the entire first page.

④ - Please use the form(s) below when sending information for your ponies! Trades go to the colorist you order your pony from.

⑤ - Don't request a pony if slots are not open. Read over everything carefully and make sure you request a slot from a colorist that has open slots!

⑥ - In this event, you may order up to but no more than 4 ponies for yourself. Ponies for others are unlimited! You are not allowed to use mules to circumvent this rule.

⑦ - The Cauldron Event may NOT be used to get cosplays from those colorists that are willing to do edits!! Please remember this and don't try it. Anyone caught trying to get a cosplay pony from this event will be greylisted.

⑧ - Colorists may choose ANY method to open their slots, so long as it doesn't cost extra gold. Please don't complain if the method they choose doesn't seem "fair" or whatever. There should be plenty of slots open throughout the event.

⑨ - Staff may do whatever kinds of games they like to giveaway tickets. They may be anything from free raffles to dice games to picture finds and etc. Please don't complain if you don't get a ticket or the games are unfair. There will be plenty of games for everyone to get tickets

Event Information

The main part of the event will be Cauldron Ponies - which are basically semi-custom ponies that come from you picking out ingredients to put into the cauldron! You can decide such things as lineart, items, colors and marking(s)~ Then it's up to the colorists to create your pony!

This part of the event will be open ALL MONTH LONG! Orders will close on Oct. 31st. However, there may be some ponies that are delivered after the end date, and some colorists may choose to close their slots earlier so they can get everything done. The Oct. 31st deadline is for those who wish to keep slots open that long - they don't have to do so.

Edited ponies will be available at the colorist's discretion.

Keep in mind that these are NON-GROWING. Whatever lineart you choose, the pony will be on that lineart and will never grow.
In some years past, colorists have offered the option to buy multiple lineart potions - essentially, if you want your pony to start at teen, you can pay more to buy BOTH a teen and adult potion, and then your pony would grow. However, it's up to each colorist whether or not they want to offer this. Don't just assume that everyone will! Read slots threads carefully~

Cauldron Ingredients

Firstly, there will be a fee of 5k plat to cover the cost of the ingredients for the summoning! Please remember, that these are non-growing by default (Baby potion=permababy & Teen potion= permateen). If a colorist has the extra ingredients on hand, they may be willing to try a more complicated summoning, they will charge 5k plat per stage.

Next, you will choose your first ingredient! The item you choose determines the species.

The next ingredients are the dyes! You may choose 2 or 3 colors (more if you use tickets)

And finally, up to 2 dashes of inspiration! (you may choose more with tickets)

We condensed the list a bit from previous iterations! If you need more explanation about a specific inspirational ingredient, please ask one of the Staff.

So you have a chance for a colorist slot? Great! Just fill out the form below and send it to your colorist as per their instructions. You may choose 2-3 colors and 2 markings on a basic pony. If you want more, you'll have to earn tickets.

There is a special new option available this year! We are introducing a Trick or Treat system! Tricks lean towards the more wicked version of the options, while Treats are the more benevolent version possible. If you want, you can always leave it up to the colorist with the Surprise Me option.

Cauldron Wishlists!

In the Events Subforum of the guild, there will be a thread entilted Cauldron Wishes. This is the place for those hopeful for a pony to post their form. This way someone may order it for you as a gift!

You may post as many wishes as you want in that thread! Hopefully this will make it easier for those who want to be random gift givers, or friends who want to get you a pony, but aren't sure what you'd like. This is not meant to hinder the gift giver from the fun of making up ponies for their friends.
