I don't remember noticing one when meeting Vesna. Though my brain was just wrapping around the idea of a half-human, floating being at the time, so that could be why I wasn't paying as close attention. W-why do you have a floating rune in your body?

Xiu: Yes. *nods* All reavans have one. From Freis until they are Sigels, like me. Then the runes are absorbed as they grow into Valsaros. Fully formed raevans. *seems to consider Reu's question* The runes are our essence. With them, we do not need to rely on human food for sustenance.

Reu: *looks entirely shocked* I've been studying runes for quite some time now, and I've never known them to be so magical. This is all so very intriguing. I-I'll have to make sure to make special note of this. Huh...so...runes are your life force, basically. That's amazing. That's why Vesna couldn't eat the ice cream...This just gives me a whole new appreciation for the raevan. *ponders what it would be like to be a guardian one day* I'll definitely have to apply for guardianship...maybe we'll meet again one day, now that you have my card.
