Keeta opened the door to the clinic, emitting a sigh of relief as the air-conditioned air hit her. It had been warming up a lot as summer got closer and being pregnant only had a tendancy to make things more intenstified.

She held the door open and glanced behind her, the way she'd come, looking for her husband. After a moment when she still didn't see him, she stepped inside. He'd be there before anything important happened. Rhine wouldn't miss out on something like this. After making her way to the counter and signing in, she sat down and picked up a magazine.

Tenanye slightly flew down to the enterance of the GMFC. This was the first time she was coming to the large clinic, and she wasn't sure what she should do. She definitely wasn't ready for a child at this time in her life either. Tenanye took in a deep breath and opened the doors to the clinic. As she stepped in she instantly smiled, all the wonderful paintings and child art made the clinic a little less intimidating. She quickly went up to the counter, folded in her wings against her back and signed in. Tenanye was hoping that this meeting would ensure that she was indeed not pregnant, but she was also wondering if she even could get pregnant. Tenanye had DEFINITELY not been as cautious as she wanted to be with her mate Montier. In her tribe everyone was mated, and not married. There was a intricate tattoo that matched his on her wrist, which showed that belonged to someone.

After she signed in she sat down in a chair two seats down from a woman with blue hair. She smiled kindly before she noticed that the woman was pregnant. When Tenanye looked down at her belly she blushed. The woman was HUGE, she never knew a woman could be so, so, BIG! Tenanye looked up at the womans face. The woman was definitely a elf, although she didn't know much about elfs because this was her first encounter with one. "How far along are you?" She asked politely. Tenanye felt like her head was going to explode from all the pressure of a first meeting in a new place.

Keeta looked up at the question and glanced over at the new face. She smiled politely, having been used to this question lately. It was good that she didn't know the woman's first impression of her though, because she would have been blushing furiously, although she was able to guess to an extent. Keeta was already self-concious about the size of her belly, but with the baby being half-dragon, it wasn't as big of a surprise.

"I'm eight months, but I expect to have the baby any day now. We're planning on determining when with the doctor today." She massaged the over-sized bump that was their little girl. Keeta smiled absent-mindedly. They would get to meet her soon. After a second, she glanced over at the woman again.

"Are you expecting?" she asked, trying to keep her tone light, hoping she wasn't overstepping any boundries.

Tenanye smiled and nodded. "I'm sure she is going to be lovely!" She said joyfully. She wasn't very good with talking to people about babies, or anything of the sort. She shook her head and patted her flat stomach. "I don't think I am. Although, who know's anything is possible. I haven't exactly been.... caustious?" Tenanye said as she lightly rubbed the back of her head.

"Today was mainly about finding out if I am and to find out more about the clinic and what it has to offer." She said with a slight nod. She was nervous to find out what the doctor had to say to begin with. Tenanye HATED doctors, she was afraid that they would do a bunch of useless tests on her just for the fun of it. "Sorry. I'm a bit nervous to hear what they are going to say... And I REALLY don't want them to stab me with needles. She said with a somewhat fearful voice.

"Well she's going to be bigger than my other one was either way," Keeta said with a nervous chuckle.

"But that's her daddy's fault, as he's a water dragon," she said in a tone that indicated she didn't think it was his "fault." It was just a way of explaining it.

As Tenanye explained why she was here, Keeta nodded knowingly. She had been in the other woman's position once before, when she had been pregnant with her son, Joel.

"I understand about being nervous and such. I'm not afraid of the needles like you, but I've been in your position before....Not knowing, and not having been careful. What outcome are you hoping for?"

Rhine usually didn't have a problem getting away from the cafe for a day or even two. It happened more so now than before but no one complained. It wasn't a typical cafe staff, most of those who worked for him had been with him since day one (and three moves later)... they were more like his extended family. But on today of all days just as he was fixing to leave an unexpected party of 20 had come through the door. He wasn't about to turn any one down simply because he had to go which would make the staff short handed. So, he had put back on his apron and some hour and half later when everything was settled again he was heading out the door... this time with more luck than previously.

It took him longer than normal to make it to the clinic as he hated cars and no longer had his 'mirror'. But, finally here he was, as promised. "Sorry I'm late," he said as he entered the building. He hadn't even looked around yet to see who was and wasn't here. He wrapped his tail loosely around his leg as he closed the door behind him.

It only took a second for him to spot his wife. He was somewhat if not mostly back to his old self before his life got turned upside down some seven or eight months previous. He proudly wore his goofy grin. "Hello," he said politely to the other lady, that he guessed his wife was talking to.

Keeta turned towards the door, when she heard it open and felt the warm outside air invade the coolness of the clinic's waiting room. She felt her face break into a grin when she saw it was her husband. Reaching up an arm, she invited him into a hug and kiss.

"I was beginning to wonder where you had been honey," she said, the smile never leaving her face.

"But don't worry, you haven't missed anything. I just signed in a few minutes ago."

((Mmmmmmffffff. SORRY THERE WAS A BIT OF AN EMERGENCY YESTERDAY IN THE VERY EARLY MORNING when we realized during a super heavy thunderstorm that there was a leak in the roof that decided to come drip out of the light fixture. It wasn't a horrible leak; it didn't fill up any buckets or even come close to filling any buckets, but it was still pretty alarming and I ended up not getting much sleep.

AM NOW STILL WORKING OFF MY SLEEP DEBT.))

(( e-e!
Oh goodness, that sounds awful.
We used to have leaks in my old house, but never into the light fixture.
Nothing shorted out, did it? ))

Tiny Pumpkin

((Nothing shorted out that I'm aware of. A LOT of luck was involved, actually, hahaha. SO 3AM ON WEDNESDAY:

It's storming, I'm awake, I decide to toast some waffles. I'd normally turn on the living room light when I go out there, but I wanted to see the rain and lightning without the inside light being reflected back at me, so I left the light off. (AT THIS POINT THERE WAS NO LEAKAGE)

While my waffles were toasting, I suddenly started hearing this weird pitter-pat, and the cats were going nuts too. I thought maybe there was something in the chimney, so I went to investigate... and noticed that there was water coming out the fixture and splashing on the coffee table (which is piled high with like... gaming controllers and DVDs and stuff).

I put towels down, and I eventually woke my brother, who got the bucket out from the garage, but really, we were pretty lucky.

If I hadn't gone out to get something to eat, I wouldn't have noticed the leaking, and if I'd turned the light on when I DID go get something to eat, I don't know what would have happened.

So long story short, everything worked out in the end. ))
