The year was 2200, and Earth's people have flung themselve's to the stars with reckless abandon. Years of civil war forged the Empire, a vast territory held under one rule. But this headlong rush to the stars would end up with an adverse effect.

Slowly rumors began to resurface of people that could do strange things to the world around them. A boy who could make it rain at will, a young woman who could fly. People dubbed them Elementals, those who could control the raw world around them. Fear soon grew as the rumors became fact, undeniable. And so the persecution began.

Finally two scientists came up with a plan. Ship them off to a newly discovered planet and let the scientists study them. Relieved the Empire quickly agreed, testing each of it's citizens and shipping off those with Elemental powers. Generations passed and soon the Elementals forgot where they came from or why they were there. The world broke into factions, each Element facing off on the others in never ending battle. You are the descendents of the original elementals. This is your world, and your stage. Let the play begin.

FAQ

1: Are they bald!?
.....No no no no no! As the baby grows to a toddler, you get to choose the hairstyle you want. Same for when the toddler grows to a child. After that you'll have to pay gold to change your hairstyle.

2: So how long does it take to move from stage to stage?
.....Well... That really depends on you. If you're active in the rp then your character will mature quickly. If you're not, then he/she won't.

3: Ooh! Can I be a scientest!?
.....Er... If you win one... We're not having the scientests affect the roleplay now...or for quite a while. Scientets will eventually have custom lineart when they are brought in.

4: What's an 'Observer'?
.....It's a fancy name for owner.

5: Can I have blue hair on mine?
.....Not until teen stage. These are regular humans with extrodinary abilities. The only way for odd colored hair is by dying it.

6: How do I get one?
.....Flatsale, event, or auction. Flatsales are first come, first serve. Events will be anything from raffles to writing contests to give aways. Auctions are..just that. Auctions will always be a 'special' character.

7: Do you do pet trades?
.....Yup! We don't have a set list of what we'll accept so PM the account and we'll disscuss it.

8: Do you do customs?
.....Yes, see the post below about them.

9: How do you tell if the baby is male or female?
.....The blanket. Green blankets are males and purple blankets are females. For special characters, though, you won't be able to tell from the blanket. Those will be specified.

Many began hunting the elementals, who soon began to fear for their lives. Over the next few years, newer elementals were often frightened of themselves and this new power they held. Few were ever able to harness the power, most too frightened to do anything with it, trying to pass off as normal humans.

Two scientists took an interest in these 'elementals' and, after a long night discussion, pleaded to the Empire to allow them to set up a colony planet to study these humans instead of hunting them. They referred to Capella-Delta P-5, a planet that had just been recently discovered upon the fringes of the Empire's reach.

After some deliberation, the Empire agreed, mainly to just get the elementals out of their hair. So the two scientists set up the planet, working as fast as they could and recruiting more scientists to help.

Months were spent hunting down all with elemental potential and every person in the Empire was tested to be sure they got everyone. The scientists transported all those they found with the potential to the planet, setting up a observational station that orbited the planet, recieving information from the planet below.

The scientists wrote reports and sent them to the Empire, updating the Council on their findings on Capella-Delta P-5. Most of the Council members, however, dismissed the colony planet from their minds. The elementals were out of the Empire, so why should they worry anymore? As long as there were no problems with these elementals within their reign, they no longer cared what was happening on that small planet on the outskirts of their domain.

The colony prospered, reverting back to a medivial setting as to amplify the effects of their powers without the interference of machines. Many even forgot about the Empire, prefering to forget the abuse they took for their powers. And so the Empire, and even the scientists, slowly faded from the minds of all those involved.

You are their descendants.

Setting:

The world is divided into five parts. Only one area remains untouched by war as, by unknown powers, elements are neutralized inside of its walls. Nanedin is home to those without control over an element and the children. The children spend their childhood and early teen years in the city, up til the time of their testing.

On their 17th birthday, a teen is sent to the large tower in the center of the city for testing. Here it is determined whether or not he/she has the potential for an element and, if so, which element. This process varies in lenght and can take anywhere from a week to a few months. After their element is determined, the teen travels to that element's main city to study for the next several years of their life.

After mastering his/her element, people have a variety of options open to them. They may stay in the city in a variety of jobs, or join the loose military and fight to gain territory for their element.

If one is deemed uncapable of elemental potential, he/she remains within Nanedin for the rest of his/her life. Many find this disappointing and struggle to cope with the facts.

On Capella Delta P-5 the stages of life are broken down in to five stages. One is the helpless baby, the curious toddler, a troublesome child, the tempramental teens, and finally stable adulthood. Only.. sometimes people go missing...



Stage 1: Baby
This is the generic stage that you get while we are frantically trying to get the rest of the stages done. All that is known about your child at this point is the gender and skin tone. Est. Age: Newborn


Stage 2: Toddler
Allright! Personality! Not much but it's beginning to have a bit. Choice of two hairstyles possibly and the coloring start to be what you requested. That's right! You get to choose hair color, eye color. For a bit extra, you could even change the color of clothing or add items. Est. Age: 1.5-5


Stage 3: Child
Moving on up! Two more hair styles, and a growth spurt. Est. Age: 6-11


Stage 4: Teen
Can we say awkward? These are the years you go to the central city and undergo testing. Eeek. Scary word! Everyone wears a white robe for testing but you still got that childhood indivduality. Depending on time you may even come out of being a kid with some interesting scars. Est. Age: 13-17


Stage 5: Adult
Woot! You have an element! Now dressed in your factions colors, you've started learning cool things about your element. Can you make a flame now? Or maybe call down some lightning! Regardless, it's made it's imprint on you and anyone can tell. Est. Age 18+


Stage 6: Elemental
Only the strongest mages can merge with their element and remain sane. Well.. as sane as a man made of fire can be. You've surpassed the needs for earthly ambitions, and limitations.

Only Adults can breed. Adults who wish to breed return to Nanedin where they can find others who wish to breed as well. Adults without elemental power can breed as well, though they often have a hard time mating with Adults with elemental powers. Elementals cannot breed as they are no longer fully human.

Breeding pairs are not guarented children. Issues can occur that make it difficult to breed.

Once the woman is fertile, the male returns to the city of his element. The woman remains in Nanedin until the birthing, after which she returns to her element's city and the child is sent to the Matrons.

Breeding costs 4k, to be split between the owners of the parents however they wish, as long as they agree to it. The result can be 0-2 children, though twins are a rare occurance.

Also, if you don't have a preference to whom your adult is to breed with, you can pay the breeding fee in full and have your adult breed with a random NPC. The results of this pairing would be the same as a pairing of two owned adults.

The owners decide what to do with the child. Both parents can RP the child, one can own it, or it could be given out to someone who wishes to have a kid. If you don't know anyone to give it to, you can give to Niki and Tara and they will find a home for it somehow (most likely via a free raffle).

To get a breeding slot, PM the mule with the subject title 'Breeding slot' and include the number(s) of the adult(s) to breed. Once you see the names up here, send the trade.

Starting at the child stage (after your first fighing lesson), your kid can start battling. Battles at the child stage are closely monitored. Battles at teen stage are monitored as well, but not as closely. Adult battles are unsupervised.

Battles are to be submitted to GHE_mule. The mule will make a thread in the guild with both combatants' names in the title. The first post will give info about the battle, including hit ranges, list of known attacks, damage for each attack, and health for each battler.

Each combatant will make a post, choosing their first attack and starting it. The mule will then post, rolling 2 d20s. The first die is for combatant 1's attack, the second for combatant 2's attack. (Combatant 1 and Combatant 2 are specified in the first post of the thread.) The combatants post responses, rolling a corresponding die if their attack hits. The mule posts again, with life totals, and rolling the dice again.

The battles continues in that fashion until one battler falls to or below 0 health and is knocked out (teen/adult battles). Child battles end when one combatant loses half their health.

At the end of the battle, the mule posts the results and locks the thread. If your kid wins, they just might learn something new.
