Thief: You sing? *tastes half of the olive, offering the other half to Stet* Sorrow and Solitude are lost cousins, they meet more often than I'd care for them to. I can practically taste them in the air when they arrive, it's a skill I came by naturally, I'm not quite sure where it spawned from. But when I feel it, it's an impulse to go and seek it out. It's like a riddle that needs to be answered.

Had to poof because hubby woke up and wanted the computer and then had to watch Agent Carter. So glad to see more rp still going! heart

Jasper: *finishes making Silk's drink and comes out of the kitchen to present her with an Irish coffee* Enjoy. I need to go check on Prism, she was napping, or at least pretending to be. *he looks over to the pile of pillows and sees that the other perma of the family, Jared has also settled for a nap.*

Silk: *takes a sip and lets out a dramatic sigh* Perfect, thanks. Mom and I will keep Jared out of trouble until momma Tyg shows to pick him up. *goes to claim a pillow for herself in the corner and enjoy her drink*

Jasper: You're welcome. Glad you like it. And thanks. *reasured, more by Kit's presence than Silks, heads up stairs the onsite room he uses when he has Jared for a couple days.*

It's been a while. *in good faith, he takes the olive, looking over the split contents* So you're saying if I hope to see you again, I need to continue to wallow in sadness on my own. *taking a small bite, he shakes his head to himself* It's a strange method of making friends but I'll keep my end of the bargain if you keep yours.

Thief: You could simply look for me. *smiles a very rare, small smile* But if you're melancholy, I'll certainly arrive. *eats the olive half slowly and thoughtfully, enjoying its scent as much as its flavor* Do you consider me a friend? *looks to Stet's eyes*

Stet: *also eats his half of the olive, slow and not quite tasting it, flicking his cherry eyes to Thief* Where might I find you, if not carrying a darkness in my heart? *her smile, even small, elicits one of his own* You sat with me, you've made me smile and I'd not be adverse to meeting with you again. Seems like good friend material to me.

Thief: I tend a raised box garden, of all things, up on the roof. I have a miniscule loft apartment, proportioned and tailored for people like ourselves. Night has been coming early, so I've brought in my beauties and set them below sun lamps. It's been a bit like living in a terrarium. I imagine it'd be something like a jungle before it's spring again. But it's the only way to get the finest herbs. *ignores the bit of pimento on her olive and discards it* You are welcome to join me whenever you like.

Stet: *nods thoughtfully, listening, not giving the discarded piece much mind, eating his own* Shouldn't be hard to find an overgrown loft the size of a Hyte's knee. *chuckles a little under his breath* Herbs, is it? Do you cook with them?

Thief: Hmmm... *eyes slowly close* I wouldn't recommend seasoning with some of them. *shakes her head* Some of them are very certainly not meant to be consumed. Belladonna, for example.

Stet: *lofts his brows slowly, considering* ...do you cultivate herbs of the deadly variety?

Thief: About eighty percent of my garden, yes. The others are for food and some are ornamental. *leans back casually from where she sits* Will you visit me sometime? I promise not to poison dinner. *gives a tiny grin*

[Chrystali]

Stet: *looks a little distant for a moment, caught in his own irony before he sighs, giving Thief his usual lop-sided smile* I would very much like to visit you and see your garden, even on threat of poisoning. Sometimes, the woman is worth the risk. *he teases very lightly*

Thief: You flatter me. *pulls a small card from a clutch purse and writes down her apartment number and her phone* I'm a little old fashioned. I have an archaic telephone. A curious little French styled thing I had commissioned to fit my apartment. There's not much else to do with the money but buy art and scaled furnishings. I must know every carpenter, sculptor, tailor, and smith in town by now. Even a few jewelers because they work so delicately. *hands Stet the little formal looking embossed card*

Stet: *accepting the card, he turns it over in his hands, amused* I don't own a phone. You're doing better than I, so I'm afraid I can't give you one in return. *tucking the card in his vest pocket, he smiles* I'm around, easy to find. Typically on the bar, or...just follow the sorrow.

Thief: You really needn't be so glum. *gets up to go home* You're much too handsome for it, it doesn't suit you. I shall see you soon, then, Mr. Stet. *gives him a little wave before setting off* I really hope to hear you sing again.
