You are Steven. You're a student in a new city, working two jobs that you hate.
For the past two weeks you've woken up with a head-ache that is getting progressively worse.
After a stressful day and a mysterious note in your pocket, you decide to take a drive through the city. The streets are deserted, and a cool mist has set. You note that the city is completely silent. You decide to turn on the radio as some background noise. You find yourself in a mysterious, gray world. Featureless buildings stretch towards the sky, void of pigment.
You make your way to a door that reads N.Y.P.D. Strange, considering you don't live in New York. Inside, you find a cell door that looks more fit for a sanitarium. Behind it, a child... The boy explains that he woke up, trapped in the cell. You find him some water, and promise that you will find a way to get him out.
