Tab "Go without you? Of course not! I was going to get you after these guys agreed to go." She paused for a minute and then looked up, rolling her shoulders back. "Following the river sounds like a good idea--river it is then!" Vivien smiled, pulling her hair out of it's ugly mess of a pony-tail and running her fingers through it. She hated her hair being ratted and her brush was only in her bag--but she'd wait until later, she could feel her stomach eating itself. Great, She thought. I'm turning into a suicidal cannibal. She smiled at the image that formed in her mind.

Tab Vivien reached down to tie the laces of her shoes, excited to actually be doing something so early in the morning. "You gonna bring the little beast?" She asked, tugging her fingers through her hair one last time.

((OoC~Just letting all of you know that Keetilia will no longer be posting in the roleplay, so Crystal no longer exists, she's been wiped from your memory--just thought I'd let you know.))

"Pshaw. Why wouldn't I bring Nilla?" Bellz assured as enthusiastically as she could manage, glancing at the white puring ball of fluff. All her friends had known her long enough to know that she was inseparable from 'her little beast'. Plus, she had no idea why, but with Nilla around Bellz felt much more safe and secure. She didn't think any of the others could ever fully understand no matter how much they tried, but that was okay with her. She scratched the cats head lovingly, playing with the ends of her whiskers for a minute before Nilla opened her mouth wide and yawned, making a squeaky roaring noise.

Annabella finally looked away from her cat, walking over to the edge of the camp and grabbing four empty beat-up bags that others had volunteered to be used to gather food. The wrinkled her nose of the strong smell of fish. It had never been nearly as bad as that at the fish shack she had worked at, but that was because the fish was fresh, not dead for who knows how long. Not to mention the smell of the salty ocean was usually stronger with the winds that had carried it. She handed a bag to Vivi, Jeremy, and Asher, giving Jeremy the biggest because he seemed the strongest of the group and Bellz had her hopes up of some other creature that wasn't dead and had gills.

Bellz was now double-knotting her muddy shoes as she was thinking how whole dead thing actually freaked her out because they hadn't found one fish that remained alive. There was no signs of the fish being killed by some other animal and they weren't injured in any way from the looks of them. They couldn't possibly have been poisoned or everyone that had eaten it would have either been sick or poisoned themselves. Also they couldn't have starved because most of the ones they had found were rather big, fat, and healthy colored, from what she knew. She wondered how come none of the others spoke aloud of this fear, but as she got to her feet she also wondered if anybody else had thought about it. Surely somebody else had though, maybe they even had a conclusion. Or, maybe it was just something none of them wanted to talk about because it frightened all of them as much as it did her. At that moment she decided that if fish was all they found today, she was going to bring that conversation up with the three of them. She sighed knowing that it would be a long walk before they even reached the fish, but she wondered what would happen if they walked even further. If they would find something else and if it would be dead too. A shiver went down her spine as that thought crossed her mind and decided that she would stop thinking about it for now.

"Lets go catch us some sausage and eggs." Annabelle said as she started walking towards the big river, listening to the branches and leaves and the rest of the underbrush crunch and crackle beneath her sore, light feet. Nilla jumped off of her shoulders, walking next to her like a trained dog on a leash. Her tail swishing to and fro with her silent graceful stride. "Stay close Nilla, I don't want you getting lost." She mumbled more to herself almost than to her cat. Sometimes she just liked the satisfaction of listening to her own voice, knowing that she was still there and that it wasn't all just some weird dream or something. She knew it was silly, but it wasn't as silly as the insane heat. Oregon was supposed to be more of a colder place, not incredibly hot. Beads of sweat were already forming on the back of her neck and legs, but she didn't mind if it would help keep herself cool. She ran a hand through her hair again, now out of habit and needing it out of her eyes.

Tab "Don't talk about those kinda foods!" Vivien whined as her stomach let out a full fledged roar. A few months ago, Vivien would have turned seven shades of red, but now the sound to her was normal, painful, but normal. The stench of the bags was something she was used to by now, she had voluntarily carried one each time they went "hunting". "Let's just hope we can find another stinking fish today. I think I just got a warning for murder from my stomach. And if I got murdered, what would you all do then?" She laughed, starting to breath through her mouth instead of her nose. She was used to the oder of the bags--but that didn't mean she liked it.

"We'd do the unthinkable--we'd sleep peacefully without you and your big mouth." Asher joked shoving Vivi playfully. He quickly rumaged through his sleeping bag where he now kept his clothes and pulled out a dark green shirt.

Asher began to walk towards their water source, ready to continue with the others and hopefully find food. Vivi wasn't the only one with an aching hunger pain, but Asher knew his was definitely not the worst. Thinking of Anabelle, Asher pictured himself finding the biggest fish there could ever be and him prepping it without her help... she'd be proud of him--wouldn't she? In awe of him perhaps? Asher hoped so. He realized he wanted her to like him more than anything else, more than Nilla, more than her tree, and more than the lotion she thought was a secret from everyone. He wanted her to love him.
