The year is 2089. Humans have grown tired of the basic entertainments of food and wine, and theatre and the arts have lost interest with no new ideas flowing through the world. One man, however, has created the ultimate form of entertainment. He offers it to the world, at a price. This technology is named, LifeLight.

LifeLight is a system that allows the user to live any fantasy in a pre-made world. It can be absolutely anything, from a medieval world, to shopping with your friends, to winning the national championships. People hungered for the world that LifeLight offered, but as with all good things, it came to an end.

A system crash from overuse, the program is erased, and the people who were living their dreams now discover that they can't wake up. A voice booms into all the worlds, "To escape to reality, you must find the fail-safe." Each human looks slowly down at the weapon they've brought to defend themselves in their digital world, and lets out a nervous chuckle. They look around at the fantasy world they were living in, magic flowing through the fingertips of themselves and others. They then look at the sky...

⑶ Literacy is expected to be 1-4 GOOD PARAGRAPHS. If you can use one paragraph to give a coherent storyline, then by all means do so, but if you need more than that, then post more. I promise we won't be mad at you.
⑷ Referring to Rule 3, as long as your under 5 paragraphs. I don't want to read a novel. I get bored halfway through usually if that happens.
⑸ Respect all fellow RPers.
⑹ Let me know if your going to be gone, or if your going to quit. I'm okay with this, just let me know please.
⑺ Keep things around PG-13. Anything past kissing is dark-area.
⑻ No God-Mod, powerplay, auto-hit, etc. Nobody likes you if you do that.

⑽ You can take over someones character temporarily if they give permission. Check with me first though, ok?
⑾ Romance is encouraged. Cybering is not.
⑿Cursing is ok, just don't use it every other word.

Katherine glanced at the sky with a bemused expression on her face. Thunder had just crashed across the sky, but there wasn't a single cloud there. Even more strange, the thunder had sounded almost like...words. Katherine shoot her head and grinned at her own foolishness. She gathered up all the wood she had dropped, and continued on her way back to the inn. Once she arrived, she stacked it near the fireplace, and threw one log onto the fire. She watched for a second as sparks danced up from the hearth, then stepped back behind the counter.

She looked around the tavern and noticed very few 'new' faces. It was her usual crowd for the time of day, only a few smugglers on leave, and a single mercenary hiding in the back corner, likely waiting for an 'acquaintance' to appear. She walked over to the man, and took his order. She then walked back behind the counter and began preparing the nights meal. Seems like it's going to be another long night.
